Bit of a drop today, but it’s probably where I expected it to be.

Not sure on the UK, but they had limited success after that in Australia. Another top 50 singles and a few that made the top 100.

Favourite I think would be Round Round or Stronger. Least would be Angels With Dirty Faces or Virgin Sexy.

I did think it’d start a bit better than #31 too.

Didn’t realise I’d missed this in the countdown. I adore this song. I first discovered it when Claire Richards sang it during Covid, I loved her version so made sure to check out Take That’s original and o wasn’t disappointed.

Love The Flood, it’s one of my favourites from them.

I have an understanding of where you’re coming from Spiceboy, I’m legally blind, so if I go to shows I’ve got to be close to the front, otherwise I can’t see a thing.

WOW, wasn't expecting this! Colour me surprised! They have some great, great songs and Marit's solo output is incredible too. Would love a new album or EP, even a new single.

q9t6wef5xlE 5. Put Yourself In My Place Kicking off my top 5 is the second single from Kyle's 1994 album Kylie Minogue, Put Yourself In My Place. The last time a single from this album featured was back at #60 with Where Is The Feeling?, which goes to show how much I love the other two singles from this album. I can't quite describe what it is I love about this song but it just connects with me in a way I wasn't anticipating. I remember first coming across this properly in 2018 and thinking wow isn't this great! Which I wasn't expecting to be honest. The chorus, the melody, the lyrics, I love everything about this song. It's since gone on to be of my most played Kylie Minogue songs of the past few years and I can see it continuing that way into the future.

jWDNMmzvNB4 6. Never Too Late Just missing out on the top 5 is Never Too Late. From the moment I did my Enjoy Yourself listen through in January I instantly loved Never Too Late. Released as the albums third single it would reach #4 in the UK, but only manage to peak at #14 in Australia. This was another one that I had in early consideration for my top 5 I loved it that much, but in the end I just couldn't have it displace any of the remaining songs. There was something weirdly familiar with this song when I first heard it, like I'd heard it before even though I don't think I had. Then it hit me it was the PWL production that felt totally like a Steps song, I could totally see this being a song Steps would've covered and had it feature on one of their first two albums. It seems like it suits them perfectly. This isn't about a Steps cover version that doesn't even exist though, it's about my 6th favourite Kylie Minogue single. I must admit though part of me feels I have this a little to high looking back at some of the songs that placed lower than this and whilst I still really like it I can see it making its way out of my top 10 over time, but for now here it is at #6.

#6 & #5 coming up now, one from he 80s and one from the 90s.

I’ve been meaning to listen to this album as I’m still yet to do so. This sounds like the perfect excuse to do this week.

Yep, it’s what 2 years since Platinum Collection and 3 since What The Future Holds Pt2? Hopefully there’s new music in 2025.
