I had no idea this was released after Locomotion outside of Australia until just recently. For me this is one of those classic late 80's pop hits that get stuck in your head and have you singing it for days. I was born just a few months after this was released so I have no recollections of this what so ever. I'm must've heard it here and there around the 90's though as when I saw the video for the first time around 2000 it sounded somewhat familiar and I recognised the chorus. The song itself is one I found myself enjoying a lot more than I expected to, I initially thought it might be a little bit grating but I was completely wrong on that one.

I was 9 years old when this was released in 1997 and it was around the same time I was really starting to get into music properly. I had barely heard of Kylie Minogue and remember think for a good couple of weeks at least that this was a single by a girl band, until my sister set me straight. (Oh I was young and stupid) It may not be Kylie's best single but it'll always have a place in my affections as the song that properly introduced me to Kylie Minogue. At the time I remember liking it quite a bit and over the past 27 years that's obviously stuck with me. If I'm putting on random Kylie songs it's often one I'll go to first.

Her first two albums had some absolutely great singles.

I haven't got into anything from Nelly since the Loos era, maybe her greatest hits in 2010. Hopefully this is good.

I’m I haven’t seen any of my favourites out yet, so I’m happy about that.

I wasn’t expecting to have a full tip 10 the same or even 7 or 8, getting 4 or 5 though I think is ok. :) It’s been tricky ranking them all as it’s bit closer to the top end, actually the whole things been a little tough but good fun. All 5 are ones I can see myself going back to quite a bit.

They’ve picked a good release week by the looks of it. Hopefully it can get a top 3 placing.

Great to find this thread. I bought an I,Oort offer first album back in 1999 as only Mickey got a release in Australia. It’s great her two albums are on streaming but it’d be great to get the 5 singles as well, just for the b-sides. I don’t know if they’re any good though.

I’m nit sure on what the general consensus for Impossible Princess and its singles is like here. So happy to see some more love for it.
