I'm going again tonight too and I did hear the paper tickets was a bit of a shambles even though Ticketmaster said they are fine and I'm a bit worried about it too... oh well, lets see what happens.

Avril was on great form last night at Alexandra Palace. Setlist could be a bit longer but it didn't really matter once I was there, full of hits, great atmosphere, loads of energy and her voice was in great form. I'm going again tonight for the last night of the tour!
  3. Oh no, I hope they are ok!
  4. I saw them last night at the 02 and they were absolutely fantastic. Really great setlist, mix of old and new, and Hayley's voice is in incredible shape. Crowd were on really good form too, even those of us up in the gods!
  5. I managed to get matinee tickets for London today after missing out due to demand last week, didn’t think they’d be as popular as they are proving to be. My only concern is that I’m going to send to end up seeing Jo miming what with so many shows in a row which I’ll be disappointed with. I didn’t go to their last tour but I remember seeing videos and later on in the run she was clearly miming some of the big songs. Hope they get some good vocal coaches and look after themselves properly.
  6. I’m a casual listener to Zara, I only really know her hits, but this song is great! I love it, I hope it’s successful for her.
  7. I haven’t listened to anything else but this album since it was released on Christmas Eve - I am obsessed. You’ve all summed up a lot of my thoughts already on this album, it’s stunning. I think Back in the Day might actually be my favourite track though, I think it’s a gorgeous close to the album. What I really appreciate is being able to hear all of their harmonies throughout the album, there are some glorious arrangements here which you really don’t hear across many girl group albums anymore.
  8. Oh I absolutely agree they are different groups, I guess for me, a live band really enhances my experience and it makes even the most structured and choreographed shows a little less rigid. But maybe it’s just not the expectation of the genre/fan base Having said that Girls Aloud had live bands and they also put on a spectacle, but that’s over a decade ago now and maybe it’s just not financially viable to do both until you get to a more global level.

I keep thinking about it all and watching the few videos I took, it was such a lovely nostalgic feeling. One omission I was surprised with was 'Ugly', I thought this would be on the setlist especially given the LGBTQ+ nature of the festival and themes of the song.

 I know what you mean, I kind of love it, it just felt odd. Also I have to say, I'm so impressed they had a live band. I just wrote this in the Little Mix board, but I've aways been disappointed they never had one when touring, it really does make a huge difference in the sound and atmosphere. The harmonies on Saturday night were also just to die for, their voices gel so well together.
  11. I've mentioned this a few times before but I've always been so disappointed with the lack of live band on tour - I hope when they do return one day they have one, it would really enhance their music, performance, the atmosphere etc Sugababes had one at Mighty Hoopla this weekend and they're putting on shows at a fraction of the cost that Little Mix were.

I was also at Mighty Hoopla on Saturday and the Sugababes were absolutely awesome. I thought the atmosphere in general throughout their set was great, although I was hoping they'd include Red Dress but otherwise there were so many bangers. I did think the ending was really abrupt - we were all waiting around for one more song and then the lights went on, I don't think they even said bye?!
  13. She was absolutely fantastic tonight in Leeds, first stop on her European tour. Although Solar Power is my least favourite of her 3 albums (and that’s not to say I dislike it at all!), it really does come to life when played live and I’m looking forward to revisiting it tomorrow. And Mood Ring is just a banger!!
  14. Agreed. It was very in the moment, and Manchester were LOUD last night and carried the song. Wonderful. Had one of the best nights of my life, what a show, I’m really going to miss them. :( I also partied on canal street afterwards and I’m awake before 9am on Sunday. I’m too old for this.
  15. I’m yet to see them live on this tour (Saturday night!!!), but I am sceptical with that video. Yes there are obviously some parts that they lip sync which goes for every pop singer/group who have a full on show to perform each night (even Beyonce), but some of the clips in that video are actually live. We don’t really need to speculate, I think they’re more live than they’re not and actually they’re damn good singers.
