The new single 'I Will Wait' by Mumford & Sons is released on 24th September and is taken from their second studio album 'Babel'. It has so far managed to peak at #3 on the US iTunes as well as #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their highest placed single here has been 'Little Lion Man' which peaked at #24, however anticipation is greater for this release and it is already on the B-list on the Radio 1 playlist. Where do you think it will peak?

#35 at this stage is better than I thought it would be doing seeing as it's a Taio Cruz style generic club track and Taio hasn't done too well this year. Also, Fazer is kind of the unknown one out of the three.

He's releasing 2 albums apparently because they'll have two different sounds. This is the first single from his 5th album while the other singles will go on his fourth album. That strategy sounds a bit messy to me.

The only number 1 singles from 2010-12 that were released post-album were: Telephone Someone Like You The Lazy Song Titanium Announced as single before but peaked after album release Airplanes Bad Romance The Time (Dirty Bit) What's My Name Dance With Me Tonight Paradise Domino Remix which got it to number 1 Gettin' Over You Spectrum

My guess with the Good Time release is that they are hoping the success of the single will generate more album sales as thd album is only #24 in the midweeks and that is with low album sales. Other than that I can't see why they would release it on a thursday as it's not like a fake version was in the top 100.
