My thoughts on the semi: Really good semi overall )no need to wade through loads and loads of dance this month. I have seen one of the worst dresses I have seen in one video. Sack does not do it justice. Thank you BJSC for finding an XTC song that is utter tripe. (Something I did not think was possible.) The video for Your Darkness made me feel sugoku natsukashii. Where was Silent Bob in the Allday video? Or is that just Jay's lovechild? EDIT: Oh just realised that it's not the XTC I know and love but some DJ. How'd he get away with calling himself that?

jXM0wpk8L3c Slipknot have released their first single since 2008 and it is more business as usual than any strident leap in their sound. But who cares when it sounds like this. The band release their new as yet untitled album in October.

Another hodge podge of a single. How they have lost it so badly is beyond me. One of my favourite bands of the last decade churning out so much average blandness is so depressing.

I am starting to think this is a seriously good album.

I thought this was a much better version of UP. Feel I have very little connection to it personally though as I will not be listening to any of these songs again (apart from Glide obviously.) I just get so little from this that it sometimes feels like it's not worth my time voting. I seem to be getting way more from BJSC at the mo. And that's a bit of a turn up.

I think she sold a lot of Born to Die/Paradise because of internet and media hype rather than the pair of #9 singles she had over here. That and the fact it's a great album. The Summertime Sadness remix was nearly 2 years later than the initial burst of hits. And she didn't even have a US singles chart entry til Young and Beautiful. She is an obvious album artist to me and not the next Adele. A completely different aesthetic.
