Been a while since I posted a chart in the main part of the forum so here's more of the same ol' indie bullshit which everyone seemed to ignore before.... LDR gets her 4th #1 with the Paradise album track. The rest of the top 10 (apart from LDR again at #9) is chock full of heavy rock and indie so if you don't like those genres then look away. The battle for #1 next week should be lively with big rises expected for Laura Marling and Scout Niblett with two female power songs. There was quite a lot to like in last night's edition. Debbie looking gorgeous as usual, though I can't for the life of me remember what the song was! (Probably had something to do with the half bottle of whiskey I'd drunk during the Bowie doc on earlier.) Cut to Tavares (I think) and what a load of dross. Sabbath showing what an absolute travesty they had become by then. 15 secs of the wonderful Dury cutting to an absolutely dreadful track by Cilla that must have sounded dated in 78. Sham were great, especially the first few words by Jimmy Pursey. So all in all not a bad program. Typical TOTP really. Oh yeah and I loved the Lizzy track.

Not on this evidence. First time I'm going to struggle to fill all the voting spots.

I've finally got into Paradise this week. I had just listened to her too much I had to leave it for a while! But at the moment it's all about Bel Air. Gorgeous. AS for the nature of the lyrics, she is definitely from the Marc Bolan school of lyric writing in that she does recycle a lot of ideas and uses a limited lexicon. Everything about her lyrically was encapsulated in Blue Jeans. Ultimately though, I couldn't care a less because I find the music so wonderful.

I'm so not making it through this time. Haven't exactly set the final alight in the last two editions anyway

This is why I was a bit hesitant sending Laurel because it is a blatant recreation of LDR even down to the video. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was a DNQ.
