NMGP: Nora Foss-Al Jabri - "Somewhere Beautiful" (2nd 2012) - This could have gone top 10 in Baku. Very powerful ballad. Irresistible - "Elevator" (SF 2012) - Very Saturdays-esque, contemporary and would have been a good entry for Norway Nora Noor - "Gone With The Wind" (SF 2011) - Amy/Adele soul number - would have worked very well. Girl Happy - "SOS" (SF 2011) - Electro-pop number. Would have been a good entry in ESC. Sichelle - "Trenger Mer" (SF 2011) - Agnes in Norwegian!! Very underrated and catchy. Mira Craig - "I'll Take You High" (SF 2010) - Soul ballad, very powerful voice. Top 5 easily on home soil. Sichelle - "Left, Right" (SF 2009) - Think Alesha Dixon....great song, memorable chorus. This could have won too! Tone Damli - "Butterflies" (2nd 2009) - LOVE this. This could have won too!

Samantha Mumba - "Gotta Tell You" - was shocked this was #2 Dido - "White Flag" - Considering it's her most known song, it's a shock this was not #1 Tina Turner - "The Best", "Private Dancer" and "What's Love Got To Do With It" - I thought these were all huge #1s - shocked "Private Dancer" did not make top 20 :(

"Boys and Girls" was a surprise indeed. I didn't expect Pixie to start her career with 2 #1s. I also found "All About Tonight" a shocker as I thought The Saturdays or even Leona had it sewn. Iyaz with "Replay" - then yet again January is a REALLY weird month. "Run This Town" by Jay Z/Rihanna/Kayne - I thought "Get Sexy" had it in the bag. Guess the fanbase of the three artists helped A LOT. "Crossroads" by Blazin Squad - I thought "oh it's just a bit of hype, they'd be forgotten come the singles".....how wrong was I. Some of the forgettable ones could be seen as surprises. "Gym and Tonic" is more of a club track...guess it must have been a low scoring week?

Justin Beiber - Boyfriend - Considering the hype, I was shocked it didn't make the summit. Another vote for Rihanna ft Eninem and Maroon 5 ft Christina Aguilera - shame they were long running #2s :( Samantha Mumba - Gotta Tell You - this was EVERYWHERE! Another one which is very lesser known: Preeya Kalidas - Shakalaka Baby - Limped into about #37 - had potential to be a huge summer hit.

Would NEVER happen. The BBC would rather chuck it's money at failed Saturday evening shows such as "Britain's Brightest". Let's face it..they are not interested in Eurovision. I think there is a deliberate reason for the bad results. They don't want us to win/host and are probably slowly pulling us out of it.

"Samo Shampioni" all the way for Bulgaria. I prefer this to "Voda" anyday. Judging how weak 2013 is, Elisa and Stoyan could better their 2007 result with this song. "Kismet"...sorry this would not work in ESC. I seem to have a Krazymir vibe with this. "Dzupaj, Libe Boso"....ballad version of "Voda" almost, the addition of the male vocalists and rapper does enhance it, but what is with the Jamaican accent? Will qualify, but could see 6 or 7 from the UK if they send this one!

Kim Wilde - In 1993 yes, in fact she was asked to do it in 1994....she said no. I think she'd have beaten "Rock N Roll Kids" easily. However, now would not be right. She's a bit old. Ditto Bonnie Tyler. Her voice is not as a good as it was back in the 80s and 90s. If it is a power ballad....we came 5th last time round with one so it could be good news. Why not someone semi-famous? Birdy maybe? or that one who sang the KFC song two years ago "We are one big family"? Gabrielle Climi is a possibility - something like "Defender" could go top 5 in Eurovision.

Have there been any artists who have had 100% non top 75/100 singles and album chart careers. Natalia Kills does spring to mind, but her previous guise as Verbalicious gave her top 15.
