  1. This Christmas chart from 1990 sticks in my head for some bizzare reason....I think my Mum and Dad were eager to know who Christmas #1 was: 1 Cliff Richard Saviour's Day 2 Vanilla Ice Ice Ice Baby 3 The Righteous Brothers You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' {1990} 4 Enigma Sadeness Part 1 5 John Travolta And Olivia Newton-John The Grease Megamix 6 The Farm All Together Now 7 Madonna Justify My Love 8 Snap! 2. TSD (Claire from Steps first band): Only two singles: Heart and Soul #69 1 week Baby I Love You #64 1 week
  3. Amy Winehouse started off with one weekers in the singles chart with the "Frank" album releases. What was the reason behind that? Where they limited? Ahh...Lemonescent, I bought their album off Amazon for 1p! Worst album I ever heard in my life excluding those singles. It was nothing but instrumentals (what was the point of the girls in the group!) and what seemed like demo track cuts!
  4. Get in there JC!
  5. Very well put. I like both tracks, but we know Cowell knows how to manipulate.

Is there anyway we can know chart positions below 200? Going back on topic, gorgeous song but criminally ignored. Sickening that her crap Hurt EP made #8 yet this beauty fails :(
  7. I have to admit "Miseltoe and Wine" isn't THAT bad! Prefer "St Saviour's Day" more. Feel bad for Kylie/Jason duet, Erasure and Angry Anderson - ALL would have been worthier choices imo.
  8. 41-100 are going to be the "Championship" of the singles charts with all these big names :D I had no idea JLS had a single out! The thing is, they're toast anyway....I think they'll disband and release a best of in 2013. Their fanbase has moved on and with the likes of 1D and if UnionJ/District 3 start releasing, There is no place. Robbie, his efforts are on the JFT96 single, Ellie again it hasn't been picked up ditto The Killers. They should have waited until January 1st to release everything....dead time of the year and all that.
  9. GA's "Beautiful Because You Love Me" - I have notice it has disappeared off the offical release list. I take it it's not being released? Too soon after "Something New".
  10. LOVE IT  She will go back to sucking again, as the single and album flopped.
  11. Demi Lovato is too American imo for the UK charts. I detest "Skyscraper". Agree about Jessie Ware and Bat for Lashes - their albums are brilliant! Obviously, it's fanbase r us and who is the flavour of the month who get hits. Will Young's "Echoes" era was ignored bar "Jealousy". Why radio stations insist on that one song I'd love to know, when the likes of Bruno Mars with his drippy love ballads like "I want your dripping wet pussy" get auto pick over a talented artist. "Losing Myself" and "I Just Want A Lover" are gorgeous up-tempo songs with artistic videos, The man is a talent.

I think part of the blame for this is the government with it's 20% VAT, cutting incomes and well bleeding the people dry. If people haven't got it, they won't buy it. Osborne is killing the high street off,
  13. Spice Girls v Teletubbies....it was an interesting race, and to me the right song won. "I am in love with the world".....I know it's a charity for disabled children, but sorry that girl can not sing. How this was a contender, I'd love to know. Even 14th was too high! The song wouldn't look out of place in the Melodifestivalen internet rounds they used to have :D
  14. That's excessive. I think it was a forum somewhere, Madonna fans buying six copies of "Miles Away"!
  15. As a GA fan, I can't see this doing much. #39 and that's if they are VERY lucky. Wrong time of the year to release the single, too soon after "Something New" and too competitive a week.
  16. 10 - Emeli Sande - My Kinda Love 09 - Marina and the Diamonds - Primadonna 08 - Chiddy Bang – Ray Charles 07 - Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso feat. Ryan Tedder – Calling (Lose My Mind) 06 - Misha B - Home Run 05 - Alex Day - Lady Godiva 04 - Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound 03 - Scissor Sisters - Only The Horses 02 - Professor Green ft Ruth Anne - Remedy 01 - Olly Murs - Oh My Goodness (weakest single but I can't stand the rest so this is a filler 1pt) -02 - Beyonce - Love On Top (Hire a new song-writer, get pregnant or reform Destiny's Child)
  17. It's hilarious!
  18. Taken By Trees....my God what an awful cover that was. Souless.
  19. I say 425k.....I think it'll be something like 20k copies seperating James and JFT96 with the latter getting Christmas #1
  20. DOWNLOAD: James Arthur - "Impossible" (First EVER X-Factor winner single I have bought!)
  21. When is the song out on Amazon and when is the physical out (My Mum wants it even though she wanted Jahmene to win)
  22. I still think James won't be #1 December 23rd. Me thinks it's a certain win for the Hillsbrough charity record. Great winner and it keeps Britters off the top.
  23. I do agree there, a #1 on Zain would suit him LOL. You never know, once they get to 28 if still active, they'll start losing their hair LOL Both versions of "No Good" are fab, but Plan B does inject new life into it for the 21st century. I think I like Rihanna doing these ballads...at least she kept her clothes on LOL
  24. "End Credits" is a song I can relate too. "No Good" I was big on this when I first met my bf, as he is in the same type of music.
  25. So do I!! Probably their best song they ever did. Liking Liam with his short hair...making him more grown up ;) James for the win
