  1. Noppon Saengkham knocks out Andy Hicks 10-5 including a 147 break.
  2. Interestingly a couple of the pundits on Dave Hendon's Snooker Scene plumped for Trump as well. When asked for their outside shot, one picked Brecel and the other two Gary Wilson. Elsewhere O'Sullivan's in the press bashing the crucible as a venue again.
  3. Is there any new songs out that don't sample anything? What happened to original music. That Shaboozey song is dreadful.
  4. On who do you think will when - I reckon it's Ronnie's year - after the season he had it would only be appropriate to cap it off with an 8th world championship win. But I went with Selby last year and he lost in the final so we'll see.
  5. Whilst the poster might be looking for a reaction I do think we need to revaluate what we conder a success in light of how long songs spend on average in the Top 10 - both Houdini and Training Season dropped out the top 10 quite quickly. Maintaining - rather than just obtaining - a Top 10 spot is going to be the mark of true success in the future.
  6. That's not a great start for Dua.
  7. Reckon Dua will do around 500,000.
  8. Indeed - the real fun starts tomorrow morning when the higher ranked seeds join in the race.
  9. I don't know what the stats are including qualifiers. However for the 'main draw' (including the challenge era) Fred Davis appeared in 31 tournaments, as O'Sullivan has qualified for this years tournament via Top 16 seeding he'll break that record with a 32nd appearance. Jimmy White has 25 appearances. Including the 2024 tournament for the 16 seeds in this years tournament it stands at Ronnie O'Sullivan - 32 Fred Davis - 31 John Higgins - 30 Steve Davis - 30 John Pulman - 28 Stephen Hendry - 27 Mark Williams - 26 Jimmy White - 25 Peter Ebdon - 24 John Parrot - 23 Eddie Charlton - 22 Rex Williams - 22 Shaun Murphy - 22 Alan McManus - 21 Dennis Taylor - 21 Ali Carter - 20 Graeme Dott - 20 Mark Selby - 20 Stephen Maguire - 20 I'll update this once we know the 16 qualifiers as some of those on that list are in the qualifiers.
  10. The amount of vinyl variants she announces is completely unimportant to how many streams she'll do. She'll get the No 1 album on pure sales but think her streaming numbers could go either way.
  11. After getting a bye through the first qualifying Jimmy White will be starting his campaign to reach the world championship for the first time since 2006 at 14:30 this afternoon - against Liu Hungyo - a 19 year old on his first year on tour - he reached the Semi Final of English Open earlier this season.
  12. It won't be No 1 in the US but looks quite likely he'll finally get a UK No 1 this week.
  13. Following on from the discussion around possible spotify numbers for Taylor's Swift's new album I thought a poll of how we think it might do would be a good idea. Number is streams on first day in the UK obviously
  14. Exactly. the public have probably reached saturation point at this stage. 850k-950k for her is probably the best she can hope for.
  15. Reminder that Easy On Me is the only non-Christmas track to do over 2m on Spotify - and that was a single release not an album one - so I think we can pretty confidently say there's no way Taylor is doing 2m from a non-Christmas song - I wouldn't be surprised if it's whatever the focus track is it's under a million tbh. I can still see her getting a #1 with it.
  16. Are we even sure Taylor's album will have a song that does 1m on Day 1? Her rerecords never do a million and only 2 songs off Midnights did 1m. Could see hear doing under 900k quite realistically. Especially with no lead single.
  17. The Qualifiers are on Discovery+ - a months pass is 6.99 - just cancel after the tournament.
  18. Something wrong with Spotify? Still hasn't updated?
  19. Flipping beyond laughable this one. Releasing to try and get attention and suddenly realising Drake isn't kingpin anymore and trying to belatedly suck up to Lamar by taking it off streaming platforms. Rappers apologising for dissing eachother? Come off it.
  20. And so the yearly festival of snooker begins at 10am today at the English Institute for Sport. Anyone got a favourites to watch. Was gonna watch Jimmy's match but he's got a walkover now.
  21. DoBelieveTheHype posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
It's from the album The Show. Heaven's the single - it charted at #16 last year.
  22. If Shinoda and the rest of the gang want to do a project with somebody else stepping in as singer on new music they should be all means do it. They absolutely shouldn't be using the Linkin Park brand for it. I'd say that if it were a male singer.
  23. Only one J.Cole track (the Central Cee collab) holding up in spotify top 50. Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers at 49 for some reason.
  24. You do realise that's never going to happen. Friday being an international release day is a worldwide record industry standard now. There certainly not going to delay the chart by two days just to suit people who think things were better in the old days (and I liked it being on a Sunday)
  25. Good for you? Some of us are still interested. Personally I think actually giving songs time in the spotlight beats them being in for a week or two and disappearing though there is a balance.
