  1. The results aren't done by 2pm - they're working on it right up until 21.45 - Curtice just said they normally have an idea of who's winning by 2pm not that the final results are done by then. The Tories will just put their X in the box and keep quiet about, given how much vitriol is being directed at anyone who openly says they support them. That's why I'm fearful of a shy Tory effect.
  2. Does anyone else have this irrational fear that the exit poll is going to come out with absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to the recent opinion polls and MRPS? Mainly with the Tories being significantly higher. So used to seeing the Tories as the largest party it almost feels unbelievably that they might possibly come 3rd.
  3. These guys came closest in 2019 so worth paying attention to: @1808785084054454560
  4. For once in my life I'm in agreement with The Sun - every party except Labour are either lunatics or a joke so the vote has to go to Labour.
  5. So what leaflets have you had through this time round? Considering I live in a safe seat I've been surprised to get a leaflet from each of Reform, the Greens, the Lib Dems and Labour through the campaign. Labour also knocked on the door. Nothing for the Tories - but that's to be expected in an area they've absolutely no chance of winning - the final YouGov MRP poll has them 5th behind Labour, Reform, the Lib Dems and the Greens. I'd imagine people in more marginal seats will have had more election leaflets or door-knocking?
  6. Just over 24 hours to go until we get the exit poll. Will be interesting to see if it reflects the polls this time round or if there's any surprises in store.
  7. Final Prediction - lets see how this goes. Labour - 450 Conservatives - 100 Liberal Democrats - 54 SNP - 20 Plaid Cymru - 4 Green - 2 Reform - 1 Speaker - 1 N.I - 18
  8. wrong thread
  9. It's definitely a possibility. I see Starmer has completely ruled out joining the EU. That will surely give many confidence to vote for him but I'm sure many like myself might be less inclined to vote for him on that basis. Anyway with less than 12 hours to go until polling stations open I'm not sure it'll move the needle much in either direction.
  10. I was hoping to catch my seat then go to bed as I figured it would be an early declaration being in the north east. Just seen on the declaration times list it's set for 2.30am. announcement, guess it's an all nighter.
  11. Labour being far more measured with their attempts to motivate their voter base. Genuine concern that Reform could win seats in areas where Labour would be expected to win. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/articl...-midlands-seats
  12. Spain 3 v2 Germany Portugal 1 v 1 France England 0 v 0 Switzerland Netherlands 2 v 1 Turkey
  13. That last minute Labour to Reform swing is something that we need to take seriously.
  14. Mel Stride has been wheeled out this morning and says the polls 'are pointing to the largest Labour majority ever seen.' That's a rather self-serving analysis of the polls from the Tories. You can see the groundwork for their election night narrative already being put into place 'it's not the biggest landslide ever, Labour aren't living up to expectations and we've done better than expected by curtailing the size of their majority.' It's desperate stuff from the Tories as always.. Hopefully Labour get 500 seats and make them utterly irrelevant.
  15. Whilst it shouldn't happen, they're not going to get hurt by a plastic cup. At least there'll presumably be no drinking in the stands at Euro 2028.
  16. That might be the earliest a PM has ever conceded defeat in an election campaign. They normally at least act like they're going to at least be competitive until the polls close. Not to mention there's no such thing as a supermajority. If the PM himself has already conceded he isn't going to win what motive is their for the few left to support him to go out and vote for him? It's pissing against the wind.
  17. Brighton, Bristol Central and Waveney Valley and North Herefordshire are the ones they've got down as possible wins as per this article.
  18. Ronaldo has confirmed this will be his last euros? Retiring at the next World Cup?
  19. Reckon that Austria will win this.
  20. As much as I'd love to see these polls coming true, the Conservatives on just 64 seats (or even less than 100) just doesn't seem plausible at all.
  21. Security's been completely naff at this euros. So many pitch invaders. And 3-0 Netherlands.
  22. Thought Jonny Mercer attacking his opponents military record was low? How about canvassers in Torbay suggesting Lib Dem candidate isn't blind an uses his guide dog for political purposes? Can't wait to see this lot decimated on Thursday night.
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only who made this mistake.
  24. Only one vote for Pendulum and Madness? Damn. Although then again I didn't vote for either so can only complain so much.
  25. The Netherlands score a goal against the run of play from Gakpo.
