  1. 37. Frances - Don't Worry About Me Heard this earlier on R1. Wish this replaced 7 Years. Beautiful.
  2. To quote myself from elsewhere on Buzzjack:
  3. See I think there are arguments for and against. Against, streaming means it's now taking forever for songs to exit. In a way the chart is now more similar to the Billboard charts in America which have songs hang around forever. This weeks chart still has Lean On, Where Are U Now, Shut Up and Dance etc, the chart takes forever to refresh. However, streaming allows slow-burners and songs that bubble under to have slow ascensions into the charts. Never Forget You was originally a flop OA/OS, but it slowly climbed thanks to streaming. Now we're seeing songs like When The Bassline Drops, Light It Up, All My Friends make it due to streams.
  4. I didn't think the playlist was updated at all over Xmas so was surprised to see this too. Just a shame that it wasn't already playlisted when it surprisingly climbed into the iTunes Top 40 for a few days or so a few weeks back.
  5. Wouldn't mind Bieber being beaten by The NHS Choir, raising awareness for the NHS is important right now with how the government are treating them. I'm sure Love Yourself can afford to step aside for the week and pull a Happy/Uptown Funk style chart run.
  6. Well that's something I thought I'd never see.
  7. I would be surprised that Love Me is up to #1 on the UK iTunes charts... but then I saw it was up to #2 on the US iTunes chart which shut me up quickly. It may be very shortlived but I'm very excited to see them this high. It's no Chocolate/Girls/Sex but Love Me is still a fine song.

  9. Honestly I think climbing on Spotify's UK chart is more important nowadays than it is being on R1's playlist. Only last week a bunch of my friends heard PBJ for the first time because it started appearing highly on the most popular playlists, and that's the sort of build a song needs for a long chart run nowadays. Appearing on R1 gave the song its original push up the T100 but it's Spotify that will keep it there. Not to mention the fact that Felix Jaehn/Jasmine Thompson charted so highly off the back of Spotify alone despite R1 snubbing the tune. I'm not saying being playlisted on R1 is insignificant anymore, but being playlisted or not is no longer life or death for a song.

  11. Honestly I'm hoping for a slow burn Top 3 that hangs around for ages, I doubt it will pull a Thinking Out Loud but who knows.
  12. For sure, Move Your Feet feels outdated quality wise.
  13. Eh kinda meant in terms of the sheer happiness both that and PBJ exuded, the two aren't really that similar musically
  14. WHAT. Excuse me a minute. http://cdn20.geekinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/JumanjiiMeme_GeekInsider.jpg
  15. VISUALIZE IT  Can't believe PBJ made T10, sounds so different to everything else out at the moment. The happiest song I've heard in a long time, in those terms it's the Move Your Feet of the 2010's.
  16. Felix Jaehn... born 1994. I can feel the need for a walking stick and a bag of Werther's Originals already.
  17. Peanut Butter Jelly made it to the T10  At the expense of Intoxicated <_< Still loving my two faves of the summer/late spring. Absolutely, the version I fell in love with.
  18. 9 Peanut Butter Jelly 10 Watch Me Thank god.
  19. So it's looking like, once again, the highest selling X Factor performance is going to be a lazy carbon copy of someone else's interpretation of a song, with the contestant looking like the genius who came up with the cover. Last week we had a copy of Foxes cover of Happy/Teardrop, and now this week we have a copy of Sleeping At Last's cover of I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles). And people ask wonder why I hate the X Factor...

  21. Hopefully Rude will get it, Crazy Stupid Love is dire. Dire. That trumpet(?) bit is the worst part of a shingle-inducing song.

Alex Stockley - Satellites Now this is great. (and I'm not at all pointing it out because I used to go to school with this guy. The song itself is actually really good.)
