This may be overly optimistic, but the amount of teasing they're doing on Twitter is making me think that something may be in the works.

I actually really like this, in spite of Bebe. It's insanely catchy. 'Ring Ring' is still far and away the worst thing he's put his name to.

This is brilliant and all, but it's clear that they're capitalising on the fact the song's gone viral on Tik Tok. I'm really not convinced it'll get the single treatment, unfortunately.

Well, this day took a turn for the better. I'll be elated if this is indeed the case. Genuinely a career highlight. They're performing on the Voice Kids tomorrow... is there even the slightest chance it could be this? I don't think I could stomach another Bounce Back performance, especially since it's already dead in the water.

‘Wasabi’ would smash imo. It’s very telling that the public (well, TikTok users) have been so receptive to it with 0 prompting. Compare it to ‘Bounce Back’, which they literally couldn’t give away. Doubt it’ll be made a single with the whole Syco mess, but it really does seem like they’re throwing away an easy hit at this point.

Yeah, they really need to accept this song's fate and stop pushing it so relentlessly. The public obviously aren't here for it in any capacity. On to the next (sooner rather than later).

Only just had the misfortune of being exposed to 'Beautiful People'. The lyrics... I genuinely loathe him.

Only just getting around to hearing this, but this might eclipse ‘I Would Like’ as my favourite song from her. A BOP. The run of songs from RML to this has made me a pseudo-stan. Shame she’s flopping kinda horribly.

:lol: :lol: :lol: I absolutely hate being so negative about any of the girls’ releases, but I just cannot warm to this song in any capacity. The verses and sample are decent enough, but the entire package is limp, and the breakdown is so juvenile and abrasive that it destroys any goodwill I have towards the song by the time the middle 8 hits. It’s not even a TAU scenario, which I still bop to massively despite its relative flopiness. Relistening to LM5 and hearing the likes of ‘Wasabi’, ‘Monster In Me’ and ‘Forget You Not’ just puts into perspective what a colossal misfire this was.

In what world is ‘Bounce Back’ adult mix? A few lyrics aside, it would easily slot in with their DNA-era singles. Apparently ‘Wasabi’ has gone ‘viral’ on Tik Tok? Can they please take cue from ‘Truth Hurts’, release it as an official single and save us from this current campaign? It’s... disheartening to say the least.

Bounce Back will (rightly) be known as the single that squandered all their momentum going into their sixth era. The song's the opposite of a grower.

Yeah, they're not really comparable at all since TAU wasn't leading a new 'era', and the remix was thrown out with 0 hype and very little support. (Plus TAU >>>>> Bounce Back).

Yeah, I’ve actually been incredibly impressed with how RCA have handled this campaign. I just hope the song’s underperformance doesn’t deter them from giving the next single a similar push.

2 weeks top 40 would be hilariously awful. Surely one of the shortest-lived ‘hits’ in the streaming era? Record-breaking queens. But seriously, I’d just rush release a better song and hope everyone forgets this mess. I knew it wasn’t going to do fantastically when I seen its Spotify debut, but I don’t think anyone forseen this.

The disdain for WLM is odd. It’s inoffensive at worst. It’s a solid 8/10 for me. ‘Bounce Back’ is probably a 6/10 on a good day, but I do hate-bop to it.
