Agreed, it's definitely reaffirmed how integral they are to the music scene at the moment. I do feel like they've lost a lot of their casual fans this era, so hopefully this will help get them back on board.

I'm not even that fussed that they didn't perform TAU. It's a shame that it's been put on the back-burner so much in favour of a 5 month old song, but one TV slot is hardly going to be make or break in turning it into a hit. I'm confident it'll do well now that it's making big gains on Spotify.

Poor TAU, it has got to be their most neglected single in years. :lol: Enjoyed the performance nonetheless, but WLM really doesn't lend itself to live performances.

The climb for TAU the past two days just shows how vital a high Hot Hits placement is. Hoping it'll crack the top 50 before Friday. Lizzo languishing towards the lower end of the top 200 is annoying. I was hoping the Capital/R1 airplay would help more.

Yeah, I reckon The 1975 are pretty much guaranteed to receive Best Group, which sucks but at least their material has been strong this era. If Arctic Monkeys win I'll FUME. Their album was legitimately one of the worst I've ever heard, and I'm saying that as someone who was formerly a fan (of the music, at least. Alex Turner can rot). Least they've got a good chance of nabbing Best Video! Especially if they're performing WLM.

With any luck. I can’t see this video having a huge effect and no Capital airplay is going to hurt. Speaking of, I was hoping they’d give it a few spins now that the video is out but nothing so far. I think the comments calling for them to can the era entirely are a bit short-sighted. Granted, the whole TAU release has been a disaster, but at least give something like ‘Wasabi’ a shot. It’s my pet peeve when artists abandon a campaign due to one underperforming single (and even then, it still has time to take off).

Oh c'mon now. The video's uneventful, but nowhere near their worst. Not when 'Little Me', 'Change Your Life', 'Secret Love Song' and even 'Touch' exist.

It's nice but unspectacular. Perrie and Jade's set-ups are stunning. Honestly, I'd probably be more inclined to like it if it weren't for the 2 week delay. It's a bit underwhelming after the long wait.

That list is... questionable to say the least. :lol: WLM, Hair, SOTME, Power, HYD and LMLY are their best imo. 'Black Magic' is ruined by the horrific fart gag. I do think 'Touch' falls into the category of 'so bad it's good' though. It's certainly watchable if nothing else.

Rita posted something on IG about voting for her/Liam so that '1D get another award'. Kinda' shitty tactic but hey ho. I can't see them winning now, which would sting even more than last year since WLM is actually deserving of the award this time around. Plus it would be ANOTHER 1D-related loss. Saying that, I really don't see why they/their team are gunning so hard for the win. 'Best Video' is hardly that great an accolade given that it's fan-voted. The fact that 'Touch' was even in contention last year over the likes of 'New Rules' says it all. :lol: Edit: It was actually Liam that posted it, not Rita. Woops.

I actually really like the look of the video from Perrie's teaser. I was kind of expecting a disaster of 'Touch' proportions, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Congrats! Although I think top 20 for this would be a triumph at the moment. :lol:

Seems like they didn't want the fanbase pre-occupied. :lol: Seems like they're not playing them at all now, which is odd since WLM was still in regular rotation and their GD singles were getting the ocassional spin up until this week. They even played TAU on the day it was released, so the whole situation is a bit confusing. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I can't imagine they'll just outright stop playing them. Didn't One Direction get blacklisted a few years back? I'm sure that only lasted a few weeks or so.

Oh yikes, that doesn't bode well for it eventually being playlisted, does it? Capital have always been notoriously fickle, but it's a bit of a joke that an act as big as them are struggling to get commerical airplay. Especially given how they always seemed to be on good terms with Capital.

Yeah, its figure seems way too high to me, especially since it's one of their more 'forgotten' hits. Could video streaming play a part? It's their second most viewed MV behind BM.

I really hope they have no say in future singles for this era, because all the songs they've cited as their favourites are among the worst on the album. Imagine preferring 'Told You So' and 'Notice' to 'Wasabi'.

I can't at them being bombared daily by TAU video questions during their Twitter 'Q&As', yet still not acknowledging any of them. :lol: Really hoping for an announcement tomorrow.

I actually really like it, but it's essentially a Bruno Mars track. Lizzo has faaaarr superior songs. They still have the video release and their boosts are usually pretty big. I'm sure it'll be fine in the long run -- Capital haven't even started playing it yet.
