No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
Yikes. Coming for that 10+ place drop. Random at Capital. Perhaps it'll give NMSS a little longevity (I'm doubtful). Have they finally dropped 'Touch' then?

Stormzy & Little Mix • TBC
Oo, I know Stormzy has praised them in the past, but this is a collab I never thought would come to fruition. MGK and Sean Paul really elevated their respective songs imo, so I'm pleased about this. I can't imagine it'll be 'Power' -- the music video for that was already filmed, no?

I'm glad this got nowhere near #1, unlike the US. Such a non-event of a song.

Power (Feat. Stormzy) • 4th Single
I am too, but I hope they wait till the end of May at least. Thankfully it'll be starting from a much stronger position than NMSS, with both it and 'Touch' dying down now. Here's hoping it catches on with the public a little better -- it's certainly more memorable.

Skipping NMSS again. :nocheer: Can't see it hanging around much longer either with the discount and R1 playlisting gone.

Petition For NMSS Promo
This is a bit much. I agree with Joe on pretty much all counts; it may not have had promo, but it's had a lot of support elsewhere, and it's clear they've given it a substantial push with the extended discount + prime slot on Hot Hits. It's just not resonating particularly well with the public -- it's hardly a big deal and certainly no cause for a petition.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
It is a bit odd. It definitely sounds like something the GP would latch on to, but the fact it's been 59p for weeks and not progressed past #9 on iTunes (except the brief spell after the MV release) sort of says it all. I think it's one of their best, but perhaps it may be a little 'MOR' in the sense that's neither strictly up-tempo nor a ballad. O well, it's not as if it flopped.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 21st April 2017
Everything beyond 'Pillowtalk' has been a bit of a disaster for Zayn. Even IDWLF didn't do nearly as well as I anticipated, especially with Taylor featuring + the movie association. It's a shame, because his output is actually very strong for most the part -- 'Cruel' is one of the best tracks of 2016 imo!

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
 Continuing their streak of frustrating singles peaks I guess. SOTME aside, they've been really unlucky in that regard ('Oops' stalling at #41 was a bit unfortunate too).

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
I'm pretty certain its chances of top 10 have passed. Regardless, I'd say it's done quite well in general, especially after the shaky start. Not every single release can be a huge smash.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
I wish it'd been the lead single for the 'Salute' era -- it would've been huge imo. On another note, NMSS is back in the iTunes top 10 at #9.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
It's still in the 59p batch too, and it's now #2 on Spotify Hot Hits. A promo slot really could push it top 10, but is there anything even available that'd give it a boost?

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
Hopefully, given that they were one of the first announced Big Weekend acts, and they generally get more exposure. I wouldn't be surprised to see it removed though. I'm surprised it's still climbing on Spotify, definitely thought it had stalled. It's holding up rather well on iTunes too. It's a shame it's so crowded at the moment; they'd be top 10 without all the surprise releases coming out of nowhere.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
Damn. I must say, I'm a little gutted NMSS won't be the megahit it's destined to be. Although I suppose there's worse things in the world than being overshadowed by a huge, previous release. I just hope it doesn't deter them from choosing fan-favourites as singles in the future, as I'm almost certain 'Oops' would've performed better.

Getting a bit sick of the Spotify invasions, but I won't begrudge Kendrick since his album is genuinely fantastic. Good to see NMSS on the up, but I do wish it'd get a move on. It needs to outpeak LMLY on streaming at least.

Good to hear about 'Baby'. I found it generic as hell initially, but it's undeniably infectious.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
Meh, 'I Want You To Know' >>>>> 'Stay' if we're talking generic Zedd songs. Agreed on 'Issues' tho. I doubt it. It's back in the top 10 on iTunes but its streaming is progressing way too slowly. It should at least out-peak HYD I imagine.

I haven't checked kworb in a while - wow at Disciples! So glad they look set to have another hit. 'They Don't Know' was one of my favourite tracks of 2014! Echoing the Clean Bandit for #1. I actually find 'Symphony' hugely underwhelming, but it's still infinitely preferable to Harry/Ed.
-
No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
:cheer: Genuinely surprised it remained discounted. Pls outpeak HYD now. A bit annoying that both 'Issues' and 'Stay' are still in the 59p batch, since they're clogging up the top 10 (plus, y'know, they're both hideous songs).

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
It's the 3rd. :P But I do agree. It's just a little frustrating that it doesn't even look set to climb after initially looking to challenge the top 10 this week. I suppose there's always next week if the discount remains. edit: woops, beaten.

No More Sad Songs (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) • 3rd Single
:nocheer: Not 'Little Me' and HYD out-peaking one their best singles to date.

#10. Official top 10 sorta' seems out of the question now, but oh well -- it'll do fine overall regardless.

Touch • 2nd Single • Part II
Yeah, I'd agree with this. It's been ridiculously resilient on streaming (for a LM single anyway) + is still top 30 on iTunes combined. It would've had a mammoth chart run if it wasn't for Sheeran (and Drake). Plus, it still sounds as fresh as it did upon album release. What a song.

I didn't realise Kygo had fallen as far 12 out of the top 5. It definitely could've been worse then, although NMSS is in 'Hot Songs' which still displays the 59p tag (altho admittedly it's on the third page iirc) so that may be a factor. Regardless, every time I think it's going to go into free-fall it rebounds. :cheer: Shame about Spotify killing their momentum. How odd that it climbed on Fri/Sat but dropped on a Sunday. However unlikely, I'm hoping it remains 59p this week. It does seem their team themselves are pushing for top 10 given that they kept the discount after the video release.
