yeah he's been distinctly average pretty much all season but was 10/10 today in my book - did exactly what was expected of him and made countless crucial tackles/had Doku in his pocket. certainly not saying he *is* world class though :lol:

unbelievable achievement for ten Hag & United - thoroughly deserved. seeing a lot of people say City's performance was poor, but I think it was more a case of United performing spectacularly in defence. Wan-Bissaka was world class.

as are the very vast majority of Chelsea fans, I’m gutted to see Poch go - and despite it being portrayed as a mutual agreement, it’s quite evident that Boehly and co have wanted him out for months. the lack of patience from the new ownership is getting exhausting - towards the end of this season it genuinely felt as though we were getting somewhere as a side, in no small part down to Poch and the strong relationships he’d built with our younger players. have seen multiple of our squad voice their disapproval at his departure on social media. cue the inevitable hiring of a manager with zero Premier League experience + influx of more young players to replace the first team players considered ‘not good enough’ by the ownership. FFS

although swapping out the Tories for Labour feels like getting kicked in the balls as opposed to being punched in the face, I’m pleased that the shitshow under Sunak is inevitably drawing to a close. certainly wasn’t expecting an election before autumn!

I finally got round to listening to ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess’ and I’m floored, one of the most consistent pop albums in recent memory. obsessed with ‘Femininomenon’ right now <3

I wouldn't think City's reign of complete dominance will continue for much longer (not that it's totally one sided, Arsenal were very unfortunate not to come away with the title this season..) - the likes of De Bruyne, Silva & Walker will inevitably start to decline in a few years, and others such as Kovacic, Doku & Grealish don't strike me as the type to have 10+ year tenures at the club like many end up with at City. I think next year's title race will be much more open - this has very much been a transitional season for Liverpool/Spurs/Chelsea/United... all will mount a much stronger challenge next season without doubt.

pleased to see Chels end the season in 6th, I’m sure we would have comfortably been 4th had we not had the unprecedented injury crisis. hoping for a stable squad over the summer (though if anyone wouldn’t mind seeing Enzo & Chilwell depart), I’ve high hopes for next season. & of course another well-deserved title for City. if Palace can keep Mitchell, Wharton, Eze & Mateta (which I think is more likely than most think) I could see them mounting a challenge for Europe next season.

Joost freefalling is heartbreaking, I can’t help but feel like it would have really took off had he been allowed to perform :(
