Yeah I agree it's proving much harder than I thought it would be. In the first 2 weeks of the season, I had a 3-0 deficit to make up in 1 game by half time. I'm hoping things settle down in the coming weeks though, I'm hoping it'll be a bit easier to predict once we get to October/November....

Thought i'd use this old topic rather than starting a new one.... During the World Cup I placed my first ever bets, and it made the games more interesting to watch, so now i'm getting into it for the domestic season, and I had the idea to do a weekly £1 10 game accumulator. Stupidly I went into it thinking it wouldn't be too hard, but i've not got close so far :lol: Done it 3 weeks so far and got 4/10 every week. I seem to do well predicting League 1 results though, so I might just tone it down a bit and go for 5/6 league 1 games in future weeks :D Anyone else doing any football betting this season?

(*) Layla (10) (SD) NXT Season 1 has proved to be a success for me, with 2 people entering my top 10 from it . Layla also enters, liking her atm (although I can't stand Michelle McCool :lol:). 4 people dropped out, CM Punk and the SES has been boring for a fair while now, so he drops out from #3, Orton also drops out, my opinion on him seems to change all the time, he's great sometimes and then I don't like him other times. Big Show and Dolph also fall out, but only by a few places.

Decent PPV, was nothing special though. Was great to see Kane get the upper hand over Taker, although we all know Taker will end up taking the belt off Kane <_<

Not long to join the BJ league now.............. only 3 people in it at the moment :o Hopefully at least 3/4 more join in the next 48 hours...

Yeah it is a bit expensive, prices went up this summer as they were frozen last summer. I'm guessing the club expected to stay up and thus thought they'd be able to get away with a price rise, but the relegation happened. Agreed about Langmead getting MOTM, was a weird one for me aswell. Actually think the centre back pair looked a bit dodgy at times, should improve when Zakuani is back from injury though. Was great to see Tomlin get on for a bit, looks like he could be a key player for us this season from the bench, just needs to work on his fitness as I said in the transfer topic. Good start!

Peterborough have signed Lee Tomlin from Rushden, exciting signing! Saw him play a few times last season because I have a mate who supports Rushden, so I went along with him. If he can improve on his fitness a bit, he will have all the tools to go far in football. Really looking forward to this season :w00t:

Opening a new topic for the opening weekend of fixtures, although i'm not sure if it's going to get many replies, so maybe it can become a general new football topic? Anyone here off to any games this weekend? I'm going to Peterborough v Bristol Rovers, feeling very optimistic about the season ahead, we haven't had to sell anyone we didn't want to sell, and seem to have a much stronger squad than our Championship squad last season. Grant McCann has already been looking like a brilliant signing, great left foot, very capable of taking free kicks and corners. Can see him dominating the central midfield in plenty of games this season!

Yeah teams don't seem to have the money anymore, even the 3 promoted sides haven't spent much between them (and right now I think the 3 promoted sides look the weakest), but I guess if the money isn't there, it can't really be spent. Will be interesting to see what happens with Burnley this season I reckon, they didn't overspend to stay up last season, so i'm interested to see if they can get back up this season. In other news, Al Fayed seems very bitter about Roy Hodgson, claiming Hodgson isn't a good manager and saying Fulham will easily beat Liverpool next season :lol:

Seems a bit slow on the transfer front, in the top flight anyway. Even Man City have spent less than I thought they would. Guess there's still time, but I guess not many teams have money to throw away anymore :o

Won't mean anything really, as far as I can tell no-one needs to buy any English players this summer to fit the criteria. Arsenal for instance have Bendtner, Clichy, Fabregas, Denilson, Song, Djourou and more that all count as homegrown.

Really hope Undertaker doesn't return to reveal Kane was his attacker, but it's going to happen isn't it? :( Hopefully Kane can keep the title for a while longer though, deserves it after so long in the company.

Well this has re-started for the new season, we gonna be having a BuzzJack league again this year? I'm probably gonna pay more attention to it this year, so hopefully I should perform better than last season :D

I'd probably have posted more last season but I got a bit bored of the game during last season. It was actually quite good, Kofi v Drew was a good match, Jericho v Evan Bourne was also very good. The WHC title match wasn't great though imo, the WWE title match was better (although the result probably made it seem better than it was :lol: )

The big drop out is Drew McIntyre, was my #2 back in December, but he just annoys me now, the fans don't care about him yet he's still IC champion? Should think Daniel Bryan will be in my top 10 when I next do it, but I don't watch NXT enough to put him in it atm.
