#89 ^_^ Who do people think will take the Christmas #1 next week then? :o

In the last chart before the Christmas one, Britney keeps hold of the #1 spot for a 5th week, and is now only 2 weeks away from equalling the record of 7 weeks at the top. Britney faces a challenge to secure the Christmas #1 though, with Leona closing the gap to under 200 points, will be close next week. No-one else is expected to challenge for the Christmas #1, as the likes of Sugababes and Girls Aloud look too far behind, although both may rise into the top 10 next week. The Christmas songs seem to be failing badly this year, with only 2 of the classics in the top 75, and also Gabriella Cilmi's effort, which looks on course to be BJ's Biggest Christmas Hit of the Year. Next week's chart is going to be a live countdown, i'm not sure which day it will be on though, probably the Saturday :P See you all there!

I do agree this chart follows the UK Chart a bit much at times, but not much can be done about that tbh, people just seem to prefer songs that did/do well :unsure: The points system could be changed easily, but I dunno, i'm not too keen tbh, it's been the same for a couple of years now, and such a big change in points will look a bit weird imo :lol: Also I don't think it will change much, songs that only appear in one chart, however high they chart, will still be at a disadvantage to a current song that appears in 5/6 charts, can't see it changing the overall chart much :unsure: As for the Christmas odds, I might leave it now :lol: This is the last week before the Christmas chart, so it looks like an interesting battle between Britney and Leona, will Britney drop enough points to be overtaken, or will she do it? :o
