New Mark single 'Carnival'
I think the video for S.A.D was just a promotional video, and I'm not sure about Carnival being a single either. Promo CD's have been sent out to radio stations for The One and he did perform an acoustic version of The One last Sunday on radio 2, so I was quite surprised when it was the video for Carnival that was released at midnight. All very confusing... I do love the video though, and it's also one of my favorites from the album. I would love him to have at least some success with whatever single is released next, however sadly I very much doubt that will happen.

Predict: Mark Owen
The interview was done before the circus tour, in 2008. I guess they could be talking about a live performance though, I just didn't read it in that context at all. That's what happens when reading a quote without reading the rest of the interview!

I do believe Rule The World was mostly written by Gary but not all of it. I knew I had read somewhere that Mark was responsible for at least part of the song, and after some googling I found this quote from an interview Gary did in 2008. I do think it's interesting knowing which member wrote which song, although I can see why they credit everyone. You can often tell who was mainly responsible for a song between Mark and Gary. Beautiful World seems like a more 'Gary' album whereas 'The Circus' seems to have more influence from Mark. I agree that Mark was mainly responsible for Up All Night and Hold Up A Light, as Jamie Norton and Ben Mark are also credited for the songwriting.

Predict: Mark Owen
It was predictable that there would be a huge drop. Although I must admit before his album campaign started, I really did think this was going to be a success for him. It was only until around the time that the tour tickets went on sale when I realised that maybe it wouldn't be. It is a brilliant album, and I hope Mark is focusing on the fact that his fans love the album and isn't too disappointed about the sales. I'm more surprised about how much Stars was a flop. It was his lowest charting single to date despite all the promotion it got. Even Hail Mary did better (according to wikipedia) in the charts and I don't think that got much promotion at all.

The album charted at 29. I think it deserved higher however at least it's his highest charting album to date!

Predict: Mark Owen
From his last album he sung Believe in the Boogie and Makin' Out. I would have liked to have seen some album tracks from his previous solo albums, as he only sung the ones he released as singles. I guess he could never win as some people would be coming to see him hoping he would do TT songs, and some only want to see his solo songs.

Predict: Mark Owen
The setlist was... Must say that Heaven's falling is incredible live, I think if he does release another single it should be that one. Wasn't expecting him to sing Rule the World but his version was very good, not as good as the original though. Merchandise wise there was three t-shirts, a tote bag, a mug and two limited edition signed posters for £50 each! I agree with the timing of the tour having an effect, it was announced very close to the actual dates. I think one of the reasons why people may not connect to his music is his voice. It's like marmite - you either love it or hate it. That's what a lot of the reviews seem to be saying - "good songs but his voice isn't strong enough"

I really don't want to see Mark flop. When he first announced this album I had a really good feeling that it would do well but now I'm not sure. Especially as his tour hasn't sold out and with the itunes charts. It's a brilliant album and he deserves so much better. Anyway he's on The One Show tonight, and Breakfast tomorrow so hopefully that will give it a boost. I actually went to see Mark last night in Sheffield and he was incredible! One of the best gig's I have been to since Progress. The place seemed packed (although the venue was tiny), and he almost seemed surprised at how many people had turned up. It really deserves to have sold out. I also managed to meet him before the gig, he's so lovely as he was getting surrounded by everyone yet was still trying to give as many people autographs and pictures as possible.

I thought it was too, Mark seemed to be saying a mixture of the two dates in different interviews. I would have thought it would make more sense releasing it this week. As surely a lot of his fans who would have bought the single won't bother if they are buying the album on the same date.

Out of Interest
I definitely prefer his newer stuff to his older stuff. Shame is brilliant. Out of his older stuff I like Open Road, Love Won't Wait and Forever Love. The rest I'm not as keen on.

Has it been released in Ireland yet though? I know it's not released in the UK until the 10th.

Gary Barlow going solo again?
I'm definitely getting a strong feeling that Gary is doing another solo album. He's been tweeting a lot about being in the studio recently and when someone asked him the other day if he was doing one, he only replied with a kiss. I've never really been that keen on his solo stuff though, so I can't say I would be that excited if he is doing one. I guess it fills the gap where the Take That album was meant to be. I just hope that if he does do one, him and Mark have similar successes. I don't really want to see Mark's album being a total flop and Gary's getting number 1. and I think it's more likely to be that way around than Mark's doing well/Gary's not.

New Take That and Mark Owen
Mark just confirmed on a radio interview that the Take That album won't be until 2014 and probably a tour in 2015. I've kind of been expecting it to be that way, still slightly disappointed though!

Mark's 4th studio album
Brilliant song and video! I really want to see it do well in the charts. Also the previews of the tracks on the album are on itunes, and they all sound very good. I'm really looking forward to this album.

New Take That and Mark Owen
I also don't see how they are going to fit writing an album in along with Mark releasing his album (and potentially a tour?), and Gary doing X Factor/a musical/another solo tour if that news article above is true. Gary did tweet today that he was in the studio writing. I hope it's for Take That stuff but I'm still having doubts whether there will be a TT album this year.

Mark's 4th studio album
Personally I can't wait for his album. I'm a huge fan of solo work, In Your Own Time and How The Mighty Fall are two brilliant albums. I hope it does do well as I would like to see him be recognized more for his songwriting skills, however I'm not expecting it to. It would be nice to see it be his highest charting album to date though.
