UK Top 100 Summary & Review 22.11.24 #8 THE TOP 10: At 10, 'The Emptiness Machine' soars into the top 10 from Linkin Park's new album. 'Wildflower' slips to 9, and on sales for Billie Eilish. at 8 'Two Hands' becomes Tate's highest peak for her upcoming album. 'Bed Chem' slips on sales and down a spot to 7! 'Bad Dreams' gains for Teddy Swims as he's up to 6, and Teddy is also at 5 with 'The Door' which also gains. Sam Fender claims the highest new entry with 'People Watching' at 4 and Rosé and Bruno Mars 'APT.' Gains on the sales but is still stranded at 3. 'Sailor Song' by Gigi Perez loses sales but stays at 2. And losing in almost all categories apart from the streaming is 'That's So True' by Gracie Abrams, which holds its 3rd consecutive week at number one, 4th week top 10 and 5th week total charting! NEW ENTRYS: 93 - WATCHU KNO ABOUT ME - Glorilla (5/10) Previous first listen: It's basically a flex song about how successful they have been and then just a rap about their bodies. This actually wasn't as bad as her other new entries, and I thought it had a memorable hip-hop hook, which I thought was good. I actually did think this had some great lyrics, and it made me chuckle, but overall it's nothing to play again. Added: The sharpness works well on this; it's still a 5 though. 89 - AGATS2 - Juice WRLD/Nicki Minaj (5.5/10) Previous first listen: I felt Nicki was cut out more and they could've bonded better, and also that the beat sounded like a quick mix rather than taking the time into the track; it's still not bad though. Added: 'AGATS2' has backing vocals from Halsey, which add to the song, and the emo side with Nicki Minaj really shows Juice's stronger sides, although this feels like it doesn't show something new or something that brings in new listeners. Juice has 1000s of unreleased songs; his record label could have chosen better. 88 - No One Noticed - Marias (3/10) Previous first listen: Wow , this is boring. The Marias sang a song that's supposed to have feelings and emotion but sang it as if they're a Walmart cashier saying how much you owe them. If this is making it onto the radio, then we are cooked. The extremely painfully plain beat with only a few moments of difference within the song, with lyrics so repetitive, is bound to get a dance remix. Way to suck the fun out of my mood—this is awful. Added: Now the borefest has gone worldwide? Make this stop! You have guitar, drums, and keyboard in the song, and it still sounds boring? 83 - It Can't Be Christmas - Tom Grennan (NR/10) This song is an Amazon exclusive that can only be played on Amazon, and you have to make an account or pay to listen, so I am not going to rate this. 78 - Kese (Dance) - Wizkid (5/10) Previous first listen: Wizkid made zero effort to make this unique from any other release by him. Added: Ive liked this notably more on the second listen, and the drums really give an impact to the afro-R&B song, although this still isn't going to give him another hit, and it appears Wizkid will not get another hit. I don't mind Wizkid going down the route of feel-good songs, though. 64: Sticky - Tyler,The Creator (6/10) Previous first listen: This wasn't as bad as someone who thought this collaboration would be ear-splitting. I'm pleased to find that all artists had their own style infused into the song and their own kick. The song contains two samples from Young Buck and James Brown and is the 8th track of Tyler's 2024 album 'CHROMAKOPIA.' This for me wasn't weak but honestly felt like they had to be kept into their style more to fit Tyler, and as much as it wasn't horrible, this mix of hip-hop artists disappoints and doesn't blend smoothly for me. Added: I still have the same opinion on this. 44 - Dirty Cash (Money Talks) - Pawsa/Adventures Of Stevie V (5/10) This is such a cheap remix; I can't believe all you need to do to get to 44 is add some extra sound effects, and you're there. This is nothing bigger or better than the original, and since I've spoken about my opinion on the original, I don't think I should have to talk about it again. 25: Running Wild - Jin (4/10) Previous first listen: Jin poorly attempts to try and create a song that he thinks will be a western hit; on certain lines he sounds like he's nervous and gives the completely wrong energy. This K pop-rock single is produced by Gary Barlow; I personally don't get how Gary could produce something so Bar-low quality. They add unnecessary autotune to Jin's voice that doesn't even mend the track! Added: Every time I listen to this with the music video, I can't help but think, "How can people actually like this?" 24 - Juno - Sabrina Carpenter (4/10) She is one who never fails to disappoint. I'm already sick of this woman personality-wise, but it's nearly equally as bad in the music. She tries to use the keyboard and bass to an advantage to make a se*y yet slower song, but this is a clear disappointment for anyone who thought the album was going to sound like the first three singles. 22 - Two Faced - Linkin Park (6/10) Previous first listen: This was the last track pushed on their album, and once again it brings an entirely new side and showcases the more 2000s production and the more all over the place screams. This song went for a completely new look where every instrument and mixing choice felt weird but worked. This is the uniqueness of Linkin Park; Emily's loud, unapologetic style goes amazingly for these heavy songs! 8: Two Hands - Tate Mcrae (5/10) Previous first listen: This wasn't bad, but it didn't have the infectious mood that 'It's ok, I'm ok' gave; instead, it fell flat and felt like a weak second song announcement for her upcoming album, which was announced to come out on February 21st, 2025, called 'So close to what,' but '2 Hands' has a beat very similar throughout and lacks the fun, pop era. This is supposed to be bouncy and fun but comes across in a tired way. I don't have much for this; accept that it needs a boost and that this isn't it. It's plain and boring. 4: People Watching - Sam Fender (4.5/10) Previous first listen: The production wasn't good and made Sam hard to hear and understand. I understand that Sam was trying to make a pulse in his music with the alternative rock sound, but to me this felt blurred and unclear. 'Happy' - Jin - Mellope Album Review OVERVIEW: 'Happy' is an album that has very mediocre music and highly lacks anything new. This is a cheap, throwaway album that desperately tries to be something, but the k-pop/rock sounds like something made for children. Multiple times Jin's vocals don't feel connected to the audio, and the production feels incorrect or out of creativity. The most impressive thing here is a feature. As someone who likes a lot of BTS (solo careers and as a group), this very much was a disappointment and makes Jin a weaker link of the group's solo careers. This album is just another K-pop one and has a few compositions that make you feel like you're the only person who attended your own birthday party. It's a low-effort album. Track-by-Tracker Review: 1 - Running Wild (4/10) Jin poorly attempts to try and create a song that he thinks will be a western hit; on certain lines he sounds like he's nervous and gives the completely wrong energy. This K pop-rock single is produced by Gary Barlow; I personally don't get how Gary could produce something so Bar-low quality. They add unnecessary autotune to Jin's voice that doesn't even mend the track! 2: I'll Be There (2/10) Yep, still trash. The music video is cringeworthy and then tries to have a fun edge to it, which isn't fun at all, and this honestly has no spark. I physically still feel the droopy, boring tone after I turned this off. Hearing this has ruined my day. Jin is a member of the famous south Korean k-pop band BTS (Bts members have had my most streamed song of 2022 and 2023), but this is really a miss for Jin; it's a poor attempt at trying to create an anthem that will be remembered as that number 1 moment when this'll be remembered as a flop. This had rock in it, but it still doesn't separate this from being like any other boring K-pop song, and I notice how he sings it like a poor actor; he's like someone in an advert who has to pretend they care about the product. Go on, attack me. BTS Army, what are you going to do? Chuck a purple heart cushion at me. Yeah, skip this and don't listen to this guys fanbase either; there are like Taylor Swift fans. And as much as this tries to make you feel loose and chill, it's honestly something that will make a blind person hurry to hit the off switch. 3 - Another Level (5/10) This went for a more booming atmosphere to make it a strong track, but the production sadly feels slightly off with its choices; the layers feel smudged, and the only thing here that's kind of good is the guitar rock solo. 4 - 네게 닿을 때까지 (falling) (5/10) This sounds very basic and really lacks anything that keeps the Army wanting more, so I'm shocked they do. Jin's melody gets so boring when his voice is the exact same way on every track, and yes, I know he changes up sometimes, but for the most part, I'm sick of this; it lacks energy and sounds like something you'd hear at the cheap children's event. 5: Heart On The Window Ft. Wendy (6/10) I liked the flow on this more; Wendy's female voice really added life to the song, and that's what made my score higher. This is something I wouldn't mind being put on. The background has a small kick to it, and the mixing feels clean and layered well! 6 - 그리움에 (I Will Come To You) (5.5/10) 'I Will Come To You' is a bittersweet piano song that showcases a more lower-pitched side of the album. The lyrics are touching and are delivered well, but I feel it goes nothing outside of Alright; he made all the necessary steps to a song, and this is acceptable, but it doesn't really have anything to make it go above and beyond. BEST: 'Heart On The Window' Ft. Wendy WORST: 'I'll Be There' ALBUM RATING: 3.5/10

'Bad Dreams' by Teddy Swims soars into the top 10, and so does 'Wildflower' at 7. 'Bed Chem' is just above no. 7 on the sales and climbs up a spot to 6, at 5, 'The Door' by Teddy Swims jumps up 3 spots, and 'Hot To Go' at 4 climbs to for Chappell Roan. 'APT.' is way ahead of the competition below as Rosé and Bruno continue their viral surge. At 2, 'Sailor Song' stays put for Gigi Perez, and with a comfortable margin, 'That's So True' by Gracie Abrams grabs 2 consecutive weeks at UK No. 1! RE ENTRYS: 97: Santa Tell Me, Ariane Grande [i really like this!] 90 - Fairytale of New York - Pogues/Kirsty Maccoll [it's a decent song] 76: Rockin Around the Christmas Tree, Brenda Lee [bEST CHRISTMAS SONG EVER!!] 63-365-Charlixcx [Overhyped] 61 - Guess: Charlixcx/Billie Eilish [Pure garbage song] 52: Oscar Winning Tears - RAYE [it's meh, don't get the rehype] NEW ENTRYS: 100: Maybe. - Sienna Spiro (6/10) 'Maybe.' Is an in-depth, emotional song about discovering who somebody is and coming out the dark. Sienna has rawness in her vocals and provides a voice that bonds well with the song. For me, this is a good song, and I can see the effort with the simple piano and poignant lyrics with symbolism, but this isn't a repeat, and it's just not for me. Sienna alone can give a song a kick, though! 94 - No Bad Vibes - Jazzy/Kilimanjaro (6/10) Previous first listen: This was a decent collaboration. I reckon this has the power to get a radio 1 song of the week, seeing what they usually pick. I feel Jazzy blended well with the unusual style (which is different for her typical) and she adapted to it well. I'll respect this. Second listen: I still like the afrobeats and pop-infused songs! 88 - Dreamin - PARTYNEXTDOOR (6/10) I liked this song and the way PND sung it; the R&B was groovy and smooth and reminded me partly of Drake; this wasn't a gem of a song, and it turns out this was made back in 2015 but was cut off his self-titled album and then released due to someone claiming the song is theirs. I'm alright with this being released, and I'm in fact happy with the different sounds. 87: Messy - Lola Young (5/10) From guitar to bass to percussion, this has a big list of people behind the scenes working on it, and I think this works well. I personally don't like this though and don't see this having a broader appeal to get super high. 82: No Pole - Don Toliver (5/10) Previous first listen: No Pole' is a song by Houston rapper Don Toliver released back in late February of 2023 with Warner Music. It combines R&B with poor quality autotuned rap; at least it has some kind of jam to it, but apart from that, it sounds like a throwaway song, which I'm shocked managed to reach the top 100 in November of 2024. Second listen: I still stand by my statement; this is really middle of the mids. 74 - Push 2 Start - Tyla (4/10) This is sadly extremely basic; Tyla is forever going to be known for her song 'Water,' and this is a short-lived charting appearance; I just know it. The R&B and afrobeat from Tyla add nothing new to the industry, and I would not be surprised if she were an industry plant. 'Push 2 Start' is about situations of a relationship but yet struggles to explore anything new music-related; not even the people behind the scenes can jazz this up, weak song. 73: This World's A Giant - Zach Bryan (4/10) Zach Bryan's music is so bad it makes me need a dopamine boost from Instagram reels. I don't get how one person could listen to the same country borefest for so long where no flavour is added. At least Zach makes his music without a huge team, which I admire, but I'm still sick of the same snooze songs. 66 High Road - Zach Bryan (5/10) Previous first listen: 'High Road' didn't grip my attention and make me want a replay, and seeing Zach's recent drama involving his ex and hush money, I definitely wouldn't want a second play, but hey, I'm here to review music and not people's personal lives! 'High Road' is an emotional country song that speaks about his struggles wanting someone and them not coming and delves deeper into struggles and fear. This song was deep, but to me it sounded like any other Zach song. I think this guy is overrated and meh. Second listen: Update: He deleted the comments about the hush money. You can't hide. Zach, the press is onto you. Anyway, the song is still mid 57 - Last Night's Mascara - Griff (10) Previous first listen: So.. Griff has recently spoken and been on Taylor Swift's eras tour, recently performed on stage on the Sabrina Carpenters tour, and released a whole album, I believe, a month ago or so. So.. why hasn't Griff blown up? Simple answer is because she's making mediocre pop songs like this, but the long answer would be 'Last Night's mascara' was a demo by Griff set to be thrown away and left in the depths (which it should've been), but Griff saved it and made a quick 5-minute meal of a song and served it up. This just sounds so basic and really sounds like you were trying to go for whatever the popular pop songs sound like nowadays. Personally, I don't think any artist could make a number one out of this; it's lacking the energy and bolt the song needs, and any energy in this is scrambled through in the chorus faster than an omelette. This is nothing to be proud of, Griff; you've made better. Second listen: I still agree with my statement about this being something not that special. 12: Nice To Meet You, Myles Smith (6/10) Previous first listen: The swing on this was nice, and the timing between each part was great, but it's not anything super out of the ordinary for Myles, who seems to find anything new from him as an artist. It uses the catchy "woah-oooo-oooo" line, which I'm not surprised he's using, but it does eventually start to feel overused. And down to Myles vocals, they're good, but I don't think they fit a lot of the songs bases well, and even bended does not make it sound amazing. The end of the story is that I don't think he can sing a song that's remembered forever, and FYI, 'Stargazing' is not one of them. Despite me going a little harsh on Myles there, he definitely has potential to make use of a viral push; I'm never saying never! And due to the new EP, this could make a charting appearance. Second listen: I stick to what I say; I should add that I like the instrumentals flavouring the beat, nothing else. NOTEABLE CHANGES: SONGS THAT FELL OVER 10 SPOTS: Embrace it—N. At 9 is 'Taste' by Sabrina Carpenter, which jumps back into the top 10 (up 2). Seeing him another top ten is Teddy Swims, who rises with 'The Door.' Just above that is 'Bed Chem' by Sabrina Carpenter, which sees a rise of two spots just above Teddy by 300 on the sales. 'Thick Of It' achieves a new peak of number 6, but comfortably ahead of it is 'Hot To Go' at 5, which seems stuck between No. 6 and 'I Love You, I'm Sorry' by Gracie Abrams at 4, which could jump, but 'APT.' at 3 by Rosé and Bruno Mars still has enough traction to ease its way through the lower charting competition. Gigi Perez sails away from the top spot with 'Sailor Song' at two, very slightly behind number 1, but it's not too close. All I Want For Christmas Is You, Mariah Carey [*YAWNS LOUDLY* BOOOORING] NEW ENTRYS: 85 - Won't Ever Know, D-Block Europe/9Goddy (4/10) 'Won't Ever Know' is a UK rap/drill song that goes for a high octane delivery. Despite sounding like the average rap song these days, it doesn't sound like D Block Europe cared; it just sounded very basic for any rap and lacked anything new. Anyone could've made this. 81 - Heart of Gold - Shawn Mendes (6/10) My previous first listen: First of all, my utter respect for including the Liam Payne tribute in this Shawn!! And this was a perfect song to give him; it's about Shawn's friend who died of a d*** overdose, and the energy is captured well throughout. It starts catchy and gets you ready to listen more, and the hook fully captivates you and makes you get into what the piece is trying to give you. The guitar is very complementary to the sound. This did well with the faster paced strumming of the guitar and the soulful voice, which supports this as a whole. I can't wait for when 'Shawn' comes out on November 15th (His new album), and gladly this will be on it! Second listen: I still like this, and I think it fits the mood of the released songs from 'Shawn' really well. Glad it made a good entry! 69, One By One, Central Cee (7/10). Previous first listen: One thing I admire about Central Cee's rapping is that you can get lyrics that would barely sound good, and he could make them good just by rapping them. 'One By One' by Central Cee featured on the Colours show and has writers Bryson Tiller and Cash Cobain as well as getting produced by Cash Cobain's well. The song is set to feature on his debut album in 2025 called 'Can't Rush Greatness,' and for me this is the best thing I've heard from Cench; the common theme of success in his music blends really well into this, and it has a pulse that makes you wanna rap along. I think this is catchy and could become a hit, and I respect how he can do so well on freestyle. Second listen: I still think this is highly above expectations for Cench! 47 Casual-CChappell Roan (4/10) 'Casual' is a rock-pop ballad that continues Chapell Roan's LGBTQ music style. I think that a faster or deeper backbeat could've worked better, and for me, this fell weak. I'm not someone to like Chappell. I've heard a lot from her but never anything good. It shows sides of a situation, and she openly spoke about feeling angry when singing this, but I don't think the song matches the energy she speaks about. 33. Like Him - Tyler, The Creator/Lola Young (6/10) My previous first listen: Tyler and Lola experiment with their pop/rap collab, which also features Neo Soul and alternative rhythms and blues. 'Like Him' for me isn't a highlight of Tyler's songs, but the switching in verses and putting artists on a new leaf of music is what I admire. Second listen: I see why this is a favourite for some people and why it made an entry! I still like this. 22. Sao Paulo: The Weeknd/Anitta (3/10) Previous first listen: First of all, I have a strong dislike for whoever made this music video. It started with a woman (Anitta, I presume) walking down the street with a mask on her, which had a connected curly tube to it (I'm describing music, ok?). Not props) and then she pukes up on the street (I have a fear of puke and even seeing it, so no trigger jumpscared me) then a baby bump appeared on the woman and she fell/went into a fountain where she showcased the baby bump, then the baby bump grew a mouth and the weeknd started speaking out of it. In the next scene, the woman was then licking a car while tw*rking, and the camera zoomed into the mouth multiple times (for some reason it had crust all around it's mouth), and then the video ended with the most horrible transition into a baby bump and the mouth. This song was supposed to be scary for Halloween and even teased as a horror music video multiple times, but it was scary as a Tesco manager. The sad thing is The Weeknd sounds like he actually tried to make this scary. This marks the first collaboration between the two artists on a Brazilian funk song, which hopefully doesn't make the album cut as it doesn't fit the first two singles style; in fact, nothing is slotting here, and the lyrics are all about "doing it" rather than giving a spooky mood. Second listen: I'll add a point because it does actually have a bit of a groove, but the song is still unorganised rubbish. Dropping from last week's top spot is 'Love Somebody' by Morgan Wallen; above that is the highest new entry, 'St Chroma' by Tyler, The Creator, featuring Daniel Caeser. Above that, climbing a spot to 6 is 'Lose Control' by Teddy Swims, spending its 64th week charting and 42nd week top 10. Post Malone and Morgan Wallen see a rise up to 5 with 'I Had some help' and also rising one is 'Espresso' up to 4! 'Birds of a Feather' stays put at 3 due to 'Die With A Smile' by Gaga and Mars jumping up 2 spots to 2! It combines R&B with poor quality autotuned rap; at least it has some kind of jam to it, but apart from that, it sounds like a throwaway song, which I'm shocked managed to reach the top 100 in November of 2024. 84: Bigger in Texas, Megan Thee Stallion (5/10) Original first listen: I'm sick of this woman's music. One listen and it's something you find alright, then afterwards it becomes the same thing just with different lyrics. I mostly know this woman for being the one to twist the truth and rap very sharply, but all talent goes out the window when most people would think you sound like any other female rapper and rap about the same thing. Modern rap like this ruines society, and I see why this stuff rarely goes to No. 1. I know her fans are going to call this gritty, hard hitting, and anthemic, but what really makes this stand out? And this is the main track on the album? Please, do better! Second listen: This sounds better second listen, and I'm starting to hear the flow has its own swagger. This was track 1 on her new album 'MEGAN: ACT II' and maybe after all the sharp touches we're better. 65 - I Hope You Find Your Way Home - Tyler, The Creator (6/10) Wow! The production on this was something!! Tyler speaks about the struggles of/and not being ready to become a father with the compositions well timed hip hop, which has its kick and pitch while maintaining the level of the production on his album 'CHROMOKOPIA.' The R&B blends well at the right time to create this. 57, Heart of a Woman, Summer Walker (5.5/10) My previous first listen: This really didn't have much to it for me; I don't mind Summer Walkers music, and this was just her usual. My previous second listen: Heart of a Woman' is the first song from Summer Walker’s third studio album, Finally Over. I respect Summer's soulful R&B tone, and it works well with the song she's going for, but it never really impresses me to a new extent or does anything new. Third listen: I'll add a 0.5 to my score; she has those clear vocals that work with the slow R&B pulse and a soulful voice that works well with meaningful lyrics. This still isn't all that impressive for me though. 56 - Balloon - Tyler, The Creator/Doechii (6.5/10) My previous first listen: The first time I'm going to say this in my write-ups! Round of applause to a rap/hip-hop song; this is actually good! This includes additional vocals from Daniel Caesar (who featured on Tyler's new album again) and a writing credit for James Brown. Doechii brung the impact, but the way Tyler's songs run always brings a new side to the singers and a lot of the time makes them listenable. Second listen: Still a well done to this song, but I took off a 0.5 because, second listen, this didn't give the same as the first, and Doechii's pitch compared to Tyler's annoyed me a bit. 53 - Tomorrow: Tyler, The Creator (8/10) This is a masterpiece. I'm serious, this has to be one of the best pieces of music I've heard in a while. Tyler spoke a lot of heartfelt stuff here, and it brought a feeling to the heart and brain that made me think and deeply intertwine with the music. This is such a well-mixed and thought-out song. I'm in shock right now. This is genius. The background vocals and bass add to the effects, and the start of the song where it cuts through the mother into Tyler's verses gives a surreal feeling. AND WOW, this is actually so good.. this is a huge leap for music.. congrats to Daniel Caesar behind the scenes to on this and everybody who helped make this. GOODNESS ME, I've been ranting about this for 10 minutes in real life. Give this a listen. It does not disappoint. 46 - I K*lled You - Tyler, The Creator (5.5/10) Tyler really chooses something new to speak about for every song! This is about black people's hairstyles and if they'll go along with societal expectations to change their hairstyle or keep their self-identity. I'm impressed and intrigued about the specific things he mentions and speaks about, as well as him keeping the same production style, which makes each part of the song have its own feel, some parts even going outside of rap. 45 - Like Him - Tyler, The Creator/Lola Young (5.5/10) Tyler and Lola experiment with their pop/rap collab, which also features Neo Soul and alternative rhythms and blues. 'Like Him' for me isn't a highlight of Tyler's songs, but the switching in verses and putting artists on a new leaf of music is what I admire. 42 - Take Your Mask Off - Tyler, The Creator/Daniel Caesar/Latoiya Williams (5/10) This song is all about taking your mask off and just being yourself. It's controversial; one part of the lyrics talks about being religious but having to hide up being gay as a fear that's it's sinful. I'm just going to say Tyler doesn't speak about this topic in the most appropriate way; at least the song means well. The main chorus was a very nice soulful pop transition from Tyler's rap, and that was a key component of the song. 40: Judge Judy, Tyler, The Creator (5/10) With engineering from Childish Gambino and soothing guitar from Steve Lacy, 'Judge Judy' is the story of the fun he had with his friend, who wrote to him informing him she died of cancer. It would have been more emotional and heartfelt if Tyler didn't just talk about s** the whole song, which didn't match the vibe at all but made it awkward. Tyler, your friend passed away from cancer. We do not need to know about the fun you had in bed. Apart from that, the song was mastered and produced well—just not the lyrical freakyness. 33 Hey Jane, Tyler, The Creator (6/10) In 'Hey Jane' Tyler speaks about the struggles and fear of an unexpected pregnancy from both him and his partner's perspective. The guitar and the different clicks throughout the song are what made it different. Tyler is really good at having the same roots on his album while making a clear difference in every track. Another decent hip-hop song. 32 - Thought I Was Dead - Tyler, The Creator/SchoolboyQ/Santigold (6/10) Here Tyler showcases more of his booming rap style, with faster and sharper notes being hit. The lyrics are snappy and quick, grabbing attention. For me, this really showcases another side to Tyler, and that's what I like about this. 27. Disease - Lady Gaga (4.5/10) Previous First listen: Whatever this new era is going to be continued as, I don't think this first pushed single is good. This doesn't have the infectious mood the other Gaga singles give; it feels like something that only sounded like a Gaga song because her voice was on it; it feels like a weak choice to open up the era, and if she continues making these types of songs, then her next album will flop as much as 'Harlequin' did. Previous second listen: I feel the same. Third listen: Hopefully this is the last time I'll have to endure a listen to this song; I still feel the same. Also, the music video is actually scary. 16 - Rah Tah Tah - Tyler, The Creator (6/10) Previous First listen: Teezo Touchdown was a writer on Darling I, a single that features on Tyler's 2024 album 'CHROMAKOPIA.' A lot of people liked this album due to the mixing and producers who made this what it is, and I agree. I don't usually like rap, but Tyler's songs give me hope, and that for me is probably because of his lighter touch instead of gritty, hard-hitting, snappy rap songs. ' Darling, I've got a real message and talk about commitment and love, and the way he speaks and talks about these things gets me emotional; he really is reviving the rap industry with this one. My full respect for this. Tyler kind of gives me Mavi Vibes. Second listen: Tyler showcases more hard-core trap in 'Rah Tah Tah.' The track is supposed to show a more aggressive side to 'CHROMAKOPIA' and the character portrayed, and I think the song does this well. 15 - Darling I - Tyler, The Creator/Teezo Touchdown (6/10) 'Darling I' which uses clicks similar to the ones in Snoop Dogg's 'Drop it like it's hot' was something that was more of a laidback and listen song instead of a punchy, gritty one. The background and structure have an old-school feel with the autotuned hip-hop playing over. It's catchy and works. 14: Sticky: Tyler, The Creator/Glorilla/Sexyy Red/Lil Wayne (/10) Previous first listen: This wasn't as bad as someone who thought this collaboration would be ear-splitting. I'm pleased to find that all artists had their own style infused into the song and their own kick. The song contains two samples from Young Buck and James Brown and is the 8th track of Tyler's 2024 album 'CHROMAKOPIA.' This for me wasn't weak but honestly felt like they had to be kept into their style more to fit Tyler, and as much as it wasn't horrible, this mix of hip-hop artists disappoints and doesn't blend smoothly for me. Second listen: I really started to notice the background sounds and whistles were well chosen for this rumbling energy. 7 - St. Chroma - Tyler, The Creator/Daniel Caeser (6/10) Previous first listen: This is very short; it only stands at 1:25 seconds in length. 'St Choma' is the highest peak from Tyler's new album, and for me, the production once again proved to give me something new, and the marching sounds with their experimental, unique blend worked well. 'St. Chroma' is the leading track on 'CHROMAKOPIA' and starts the story of the album, and to this I respect it; it's definitely a standout reflecting on the character he's portraying with its Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop style. Second listen: Daniel's soulful melody at the end really lifts up the track; I really like this! Yes, it mainly follows the same rap route as Money & Fame, and the lyrics are honestly worse than Tiktok Brainrot to me, but it still is a decent track for how it was made. I guess I could say that he has a really good production and mixing team on a lot of his stuff. 64, 2 AM, BigXthaPlug (4/10) Guess who was a writer on this song? R. Kelly (*cough* the guy who went to jail who did some bad stuff.. some with children) Yeah, so I'm pretty disappointed in Big X to allow him on this and then put it out there. Judging from the lyrics, this song is about killing everything that isn't his, including people. Yeah, the lyrics scream Crazy all over it. And I can't say I'm impressed; it's everything Big X has done before, but over again, that isn't bad, but it's just keeping to the hip-hop gang roots, and it's really nothing special. Raw and emotional? Maybe, but hopefully not relatable. You want more info about the track? Sadly, there's nothing much to say about this. I guess it all works production-wise and with Big X, but there really isn't anything special to this. 58 - Him All Along - Gunna (6/10) I'm flowing with this; the pace and rhythm really keep me interested with the song, although I felt this needed a little spice to it. The lyrics rhymed when I felt it was satisfying and not too much that it's a poem. This does seem like a song that will get boring after a few listens, though; that's why it needs something added into the mix. This can hook in new people and has its catch, but Gunna needs to give more here. 44: That's So True, Gracie Abrams (4/10) REPOSTED REVIEW BY ME: I like the faster moving sound better with Gracie, but I really don't get her hype; this is off the deluxe version of her album 'The Secret of Us,' and once again she sounds like a knockoff of Taylor Swift but slightly worse, in fact noticeably worser. I dislike the way she sings and the way this song is produced, and it just feels like a song teenage girls would listen to and cry with (in a cringe way). Everything about this is giving Taylor copy and paste. The lyrics really round like Taylor to! In fact, this track doesn't really need an introduction. It's literally Taylor Swift. That's it. 43 - Noid - Tyler, The Creator (5/10) REPOSTED REVIEW BY ME: Noid is a psychedelic rock song that features Zambian verses talking about his fear as a celebrity and getting noticed more due to him possibly being a target. Now I get him talking about wanting to be in privacy, but the lyrics feel something that would go well with a rougher, higher pitch, but it's more of a song that gives a lower sense of paranoia rather than a straight-up full freakout. I find the production on this inspiring, and the female Zambian vocals on this actually sounded like they were more memorable than Tyler's actual verse. This is a very real yet gripping track for me that speaks in a lot; the 1970s sample and the music video capture this piece well. I personally only give it a 5 because I wish there was more grip and intensity to this, but it's not a bad track. 23. Tu Boda, Oscar Mayden/Fuerza Regida (5/10) Ehhhh, this lacked a lot of character for me and sounded like your average salsa song or something you would see in a TV advertisement for Mexican food. Well apparently it has a counterversy to it; the song has been accused of promoting f*micide (a man killing a girl due to her gender), as the lyric "I Want to Stain the White Dress Red" was suspected of promoting it. The whole song is supposed to be about a man seeing his loved one marry someone else. This to me has both artists roots, but it really lacks any kick that will propel the song higher other than contreversy and big names. The mass amount of instruments on this, such as guitar, ukelele, piano, and more, is shocking considering how the song still sounds similar to any other Latin charting song. 8 - APT. - ROSÉ/Bruno Mars (6/10) REPOSTED REVIEW BY ME: With each listen, the high energy is starting to reach me, and I think I like this. As mentioned before, I'm shocked ROSÉ (2 million monthly listeners) got a feature from Bruno Mars (110 something million monthly listeners) (stats off of Spotify). This will feature on ROSÉ's upcoming album, which will release on December 6th of this year, and this track I do see as a clear one to push! The fast-paced fun, the big feature, and the drums work really well with both of their energy. I like seeing Bruno's fun side again, and this shows it well! 1: Love Somebody by Morgan Wallen (8/10) REPOSTED REVIEW FROM ME: This was my number one most streamed track of the week and yet another successful single for Morgan Wallen. I didn't think this needed like 7 writers on it (Digital Farm Animals being one of them), but yet this still ended up being great! I really liked the guitar making up the chill pop-country chorus and melody; it was a great fit and really adds something new while keeping to the singer's roots! The song explores themes of heartbreak and wanting someone to love, which is shown in Morgan's raspy yet fitting vocals making up the track. NOTEABLE MOVERS: Rod Wave's album Bomb only sees 5 out of the 17 charting songs surviving. Sympathy Is A Knife crashes from 36 down to 85. 'Thick Of It' slips to 81 and 'Guess' to 80. Charlixcx continues her bad luck as 360 falls from 41 to 77. Glorilla and T-Pain bounce up 22 spots to 70. Shake Dat A** (T**** Song) continues its rise to 54 Peso Pluma sees climbs to 52 and 51. UK TOP 100 Summary & Review 25.10.24 #4 THE TOP 10: Slipping 2 spots to 10 due to one direction is 'Thick Of It.' By Ksi and Trippie Redd, at 9, we see 'Story of My Life' by One Direction re-enter due to Liam Payne's death. 'Hot To Go' is managing to stabilise on sales despite slipping to 8, 'Somedays' is scheduled at 7, and One Directions highest entry, 'Night Changes,' is at 6. At 5, 'I Love You, I'm Sorry' by Gracie Abrams gets knocked by 'APT.' By Rosé and Bruno Mars, which is a tad behind sales compared to 'Die With a Smile', which is creeping behind number 2, but as long as Gigi Perez at 2 keeps up this virality, then 'Salor Song' is fixed there (for now) and getting its 9th week consecutive at no. 1 with 'Taste' and her 21st week at number 1 this year is Sabrina Carpenter, who is miles ahead of competition but is losing traction fast. It's a race between who's going to catch her when/if she goes on ACR and who's getting the virality weeks later! RE ENTRYS: 100 Down Bad - Taylor Swift [Decent song] 84: Lights Camera Action - Kylie Minogue This was one of the worst songs on the album. 69: Careless Whisper, George Michael [The starting melody has been used in so many kissing videos it's gotten cringe to listen to] 43 - For You (Fifty Shades Release) - Liam Payne/Rita Ora This is alright. 41: Strip that down, Liam Payne/Quavo [i would've preferred this without Quavo]. 23. What makes you beautiful? One Direction [LEGENDARY SONG] 9: Story of My Life: One Direction [Love this! This song gives me memories. 6: Night Changes—One Direction [This shouldn't have been the highest entry from them; this song is meh]. NEW ENTRYS: 89: Best Time, Brent Faiyaz (6/10) Brent Faiyaz is a R&B singer who rose to fame in 2016 with 'Crew' and then in 2023 released 'Best Time,' which sampled Kelis's song 'Caught Out There.' It recreates classic 90s and 2000s R&B and features lines from Tommy Richman. For me, the Tommy Richman Verses really stood out to me; his delivery can work well with a lot of R&B music of that time, and that's why 'Million Dollar Baby' did so well. I wasn't so impressed with Tommy's newer works, and I think he works better with the vintage, laid-back R&B rather than trying to give a faster pulse to his music. on 'Best Time' This didn't do the world for me, and due to it being so short, there wasn't enough for me to really feel the energy and develop a character; this should be longer and have more creativity for me. 85 Teardrops, Liam Payne (6/10) This was Liam Payne's last released single before he died, which was released on the 1st of March in 2024 and was set to be the 2nd single on an upcoming album, which he postponed. I really like the percussion and guitar touches and the deep emotional feeling of heartbreak being resembled really well throughout. This has purpose to be a main track, and I see why it was pushed as one; it's catchy, it's not repetitive, and it has an autotune on his voice that works really well with the higher-pitched parts of the song. 75: Oscar Winning Tears - RAYE (6/10) Released in 2023, 'Oscar Winning Tears' featured on her 2023 album '21st century blues' and became the 5th song from the album to hit the top 100. Raye lets her true emotions break free as she tells the story of heartbreak in a pop/R&B composition. This to me works really well and showcases Raye as an artist, but what's missing for me is a chorus and a hook that grabs attention. Yes, it did land in at number 75, but I think adding some more style instead of keeping it as one of the low-key tracks on the album would help it reach a wider audience. It fits inside of the genre as a song but doesn't really stretch to anything else or really have a memorable moment that separates this as a favourite. Overall, I have to admit this does have qualities such as clear production, lyrics that fit the mood, and sounds like something that would fit their fanbase but not something that would reach a wider audience. 61: Piece of My Heart - Wizkid/Brent Faiyaz (5/10) This is set to feature on Wizkid's upcoming album Morayo, and I don't get why this was pushed before the album. Yeah, it has a feature and isn't a bad song; in fact, it has Wizkid's afrobeat energy and keeps that up with getting a feature, which could attract more people to his fanbase, but this ultimately feels weak and lacks any umph to give the song a higher charting position. It all feels very much like what we have already heard before; I would prefer more of Brent's style on the track. This is pretty average; skip. 52: Fantasy—JADE (3/10) I'm forever going to dislike this song. This is the second song off of Jade's upcoming album, and my, oh my, this is going to be a horrible album, isn't it? This was designed to bring out character, but yet still sounds boring! 50 - Noid - Tyler, The Creator (5/10) Noid is a psychedelic rock song that features Zambian verses talking about his fear as a celebrity and getting noticed more due to him possibly being a target. Now I get him talking about wanting to be in privacy, but the lyrics feel something that would go well with a rougher, higher pitch, but it's more of a song that gives a lower sense of paranoia rather than a straight-up full freakout. I find the production on this inspiring, and the female Zambian vocals on this actually sounded like they were more memorable than Tyler's actual verse. This is a very real yet gripping track for me that speaks in a lot; the 1970s sample and the music video capture this piece well. I personally only give it a 5 because I wish there was more grip and intensity to this, but it's not a bad track. 40: Love Somebody, Morgan Wallen (7/10) This was my number one most streamed track of the week and yet another successful single for Morgan Wallen. I didn't think this needed like 7 writers on it (Digital Farm Animals being one of them), but yet this still ended up being great! I really liked the guitar making up the chill pop-country chorus and melody; it was a great fit and really adds something new while keeping to the singer's roots! The song explores themes of heartbreak and wanting someone to love, which is shown in Morgan's raspy yet fitting vocals making up the track. 19—That's So True—Gracie Abrams (4/10) I like the faster moving sound better with Gracie, but I really don't get her hype; this is off the deluxe version of her album 'The Secret of Us,' and once again she sounds like a knockoff of Taylor Swift but slightly worse, in fact noticeably worser. I dislike the way she sings and the way this song is produced, and it just feels like a song teenage girls would listen to and cry with (in a cringe way). Everything about this is giving Taylor copy and paste. The lyrics really round like Taylor to! In fact, this track doesn't really need an introduction. It's literally Taylor Swift. That's it. 4 - APT. - ROSÉ & Bruno Mars (6/10) With each listen, the high energy is starting to reach me, and I think I like this. As mentioned before, I'm shocked ROSÉ (2 million monthly listeners) got a feature from Bruno Mars (110 something million monthly listeners) (stats off of Spotify). This will feature on ROSÉ's upcoming album, which will release on December 6th of this year, and this track I do see as a clear one to push! The fast-paced fun, the big feature, and the drums work really well with both of their energy. I like seeing Bruno's fun side again, and this shows it well! Noteable Chart Moves and Changes: The Cranberries drop from 82 to 99 with 'Linger.' Eminem's 'Houdini' slips 15 spots to 97 Taylor Swift loses 18 spots for 'I can do it with a broken heart' as it falls to 96. Calvin Harris and Ellie Gouldings 'Free' falls from 48 to 95. Asap's 'I smoked my brain away' dips down 10 spots to 94. - 'N O C H I L L' 'I Adore You' 'Pretty Slowly and 'Viva La Vida' both see drops of over 10 spots falling below number 80. Milli Vanilli falls from 50 to 79 with 'I blame it on the rain.' - 'Keep Up' and 'Bye Bye Bye' both drop over 10 spots past 70. - 'Iris', 'Kehlani', 'Cruel Summer', and 'Burning Down' all drop over 10 spots and fall past 60. NEW MUSIC FRIDAY RANKING 25.10.24 #4 This is more me saying what I think about the track than a full description review. I'm working on other projects in and outside of my write-ups, so this week will be shorter. Thank you to everyone who reads my opinion. I'm aiming to make my write-ups better; from now on I'll try and be much more descriptive. I'm not good at grasping stuff immediately, but I'll tell you this: consider this my worst write-up because I'm trying to make everything better; this was more of a quick note down. Disease: Lady Gaga (4/10) Whatever this new era is going to be continued as, I don't think this first pushed single is good. This doesn't have the infectious mood the other Gaga singles give; it feels like something that only sounded like a Gaga song because her voice was on it; it feels like a weak choice to open up the era, and if she continues making these types of songs, then her next album will flop as much as 'Harlequin' did. Over each other: Linkin Park (5.5/10) The first two singles were much better from their album; this doesn't give the impact and is more of a sad song, and as much as I respect them trying out calmer things than just full on metal, this isn't a repeat for me; stick to the first two types of songs. Presidente: Gabito Ballesteros/Natanael Cano/Luis R. Conrique/Neton Vega (5/10) Wow, these Spanish songs are getting so boring; they all use the same trumpet sounds and a similar backbeat, but just changing one thing; this feels like any other Mexican/Spanish song. Panic Attack, Halsey (5/10): I didn't really like the way she sang the song; she took pauses that didn't feel right and sang it in a way that sounded like it shouldn't have been like that. Noid - Tyler, The Creator (5/10) - this sounds like parts of something you would hear out of a show like Star Trek if it had a theme tune, and then you hear a female rapper despite Tyler being male. This was a very unique track for me, but not as much in a good way; it all felt very mixed apart and jumbled in a strange way. The feeling: Rudimental/1991/PNAU/AR-CO (5/10) For four people, this is a very basic track, and it lacked the energy I wished to see. I feel that Rudimental is slipping up as an artist, and songs are getting blander with each release; maybe he should stick to being a chef. Bigger in Texas: Megan Thee Stallion (3/10) I'm sick of this woman's music. One listen and it's something you find alright, then afterwards it becomes the same thing just with different lyrics. I mostly know this woman for being the one to twist the truth and rap very sharply, but all talent goes out the window when most people would think you sound like any other female rapper and rap about the same thing. Modern rap like this ruines society, and I see why this stuff rarely goes to No. 1. I know her fans are going to call this gritty, hard-hitting, and anthemic, but what really makes this stand out? And this is the main track on the album? Please, do better! Aquamarine - Addison Rae (4/10) I never really liked Addison's music; it all sounds like something else should've been added, and throughout the song there are no good parts or surprises; she just bores you throughout. Be Alright, Joel Corry (5/10) I don't think the vocals were a good choice for this. Know you like that—Jordan Davis (4.5/10) - There needs to be more style on this; it sounds very basic. Closure: Kyle Ricch/Cash Cobain (3.5/10) This song is like the male version of Ice Spice. In the morning, Hunxho/Ty Dolla Sign (5/10) Next to you: JVKE (6.5/10) This showcased the singer's music really well while adding touches to attract new people to his music. I thought this was a smart song choice, and I enjoyed it! Love the way you lie. Jax Jones/Azteck/Norma Jean Martine (3.5/10) Honestly, I could've done better without the remix of the classic Eminem and Rihanna song; this is as cheap as a David Guetta remix. Tell me why 3 people came together to make a remix, and it's just the same song with a new high-pitched backbeat. This is so low effort and boring it's insane; Joel has lost his spark as a DJ. One eye open, Mimi Webb (5/10). NEVER FIND - Glorilla/K Carbon (3/10) If this wasn't for the bearable sound, I would be rating it lower, but I actually found the production and quality OK. What I find cringeworthy is not just that she's rapping about your average rap cr*p, but she mentioned lunchables in her rap. No way are you bragging about getting millions; then you have to include a sponsor, and there's no way you actually just like them to include them in there. Glorilla is such a fake rapper. Heart of a Woman by Summer Walker (5/10) - This really didn't have much to it for me; I don't mind Summer Walker's music, and this was just her usual. Fable by Gigi Perez (4/10): This bored me so much; the songs are too long, and the structure has no real hook to it but just feels like this was made to be a flop song, which is impossible, but it does sound like a flop song. As Good As It Gets, Katie Gavin/Mitski (10) Eeeeh, the vocal flow could've given more here, and I know Mitski can do better; this just felt very low effort and disappointing. This didn't have a catchy or memorable moment. You don't love me—Gucci Mane/Sexxy Redd (3/10) Absolute brainrot of a song; it's what you can guess a flex song about getting money, and t******, of course a lot of rappers will only make music about that these days, sadly. Baggage: Kelsie Ballerini (5.5/10): I think this does have the potential to get noticed because the melody is something that's going to get fixed into your brain easily, but I feel that Kelsie should include more style. I get that she goes for something simple a lot of the time, but that's really what this single needs. Rebel Soul - Michael Kiwunuka (5/10) Good Enough - Michael Marcagi (6/10) Cherish (My Love) - ILLIT (4/10) It's just the same K-pop sound used. I like K-pop, but I don't understand this specific group's hype. Say what: Rampa/Adam Port/&Me/Chuala/Keinemusik (4/10) This is such a weak and bland song; this shouldn't take 5 artists to make. Is This Love To You? - Bryant Barnes (6/10) Born With A Broken Heart - Damiano David (7/10) What a powerful track! Damiano's voice is infused with the hard-hitting rock while talking about not being able to have his broken heart fixed in a relationship; this is the first song I've heard from his solo career (even though it's not his first solo song), and I love this! I could tell from his voice he was passionate and singing about something that felt very personal to his heart! Keep up with this real stuff! I'll be there - Jin (4/10).

Hot 100 Summary & Review 22.10.24 #3 *Please note I will not be reviewing the Rod Wave album due to me already having listened to it; instead, I will give a simple rating and a mention. If you are interested in seeing my opinion on them, it has been posted before in my Last Lap album review. THE TOP 10: 'Please, please, please' slips a spot to 10 as it's declining and moving faster; this very well is likely to be its last week in the top 10 unless we see 'Beautiful Things' at 9 dip, at 8 'Taste' by Sabrina Carpenter slips a spot, and so does 'Good luck, babe!' At 7, which got pushed down due to 'Lose Control' by Teddy Swims jumping 2 spots, giving the song its 40th week top 10, at 5, 'I Had Some Help' by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen slips 2 spots, it doesn't matter for Morgan since he'll be number 1 next week anyway (most likely). Gaga and Mars climb closer to the songs peak up a spot to 4 with 'Die With A Smile' and repeaking at 3 is 'Espresso' by Sabrina Carpenter, Yet another week of Sabrina having 3 songs in the top 10. at 2 is 'Birds of a Feather' holding at 2 for its third week. I didn't think the music video boost would go nearly as well! And holding at number 1 for the 15th week, tieing Harry Styles for the 2nd longest running no.1 of this decade, is A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey! RE ENTRYS: There's no re-entry this week, but there's a heck load of new ones. NEW ENTRYS: 100 - Karma - Rod wave (5.5/10) 99 - Leave Me Alone - BigXthaPlug (6/10) I really like Xtha's rough vocals, and it works well on the raw and intense thumping beat. I feel like this could have worked better if he had less of a gritty composition and more of a catchy one fit for the radios. 98: Mantra, Jenny (4/10) She's really trying to push that big icon character with this, and it falls short of being called memorable. She tries to capture you with a hypnotic pulse, which in reality sounds like your usual social media song. Trust me, this'll do the rounds on TikTok, and then the only chance of a retrend will be decades later when she dies. Trust me, people, there are much better R&B-Dance Pop songs out there than this cringefest "Girl Power" song. 🙄 96: Scared Love, Rod Wave (5/10) 95 - D.A.R.E. - Rod Wave (5/10) 94 - Mike - Rod Wave (5.5/10) 93 - Waited 2 Late - Rod Wave (5/10) 92: I Luv Her, Glorilla/T-Pain (2/10) Some of the verses in this song are so bad. Actually, all the verses in this song are bad! I don't know who thought the playful wordplay would go along well with a serious tone; in fact, I can't even say the lyrics here there that bad. I will also never be a fan of T Pain's autotune; it puts me in T Pain; anyone who likes those types of vocals would dance to an autotuned newborn baby crying. Glorilla tries to give a fiery kick to this but makes it sound even more stupid when you know what she's singing. This song isn't for TikTok; it's for deletion. 90 - How I Look - Glorilla/Megan Thee Stallion (2/10) The shots fired in this song are laughable, Megan adresses with her unapologetic vocals that she won't bother engaging in arguements with people who can't even get up to her level, well you have been rumour to have dissed 5 people on one track, some who I've never even heard Diss you and you took Tory to court before dropping 'HISS' which was a "i'm gonna cry to my mommy" track, You certainly Diss people above your level and then act like your the mature one here, even if Nicki lost the beef she's still a much more successful rapper than you and so is Drake, Glorilla followed up by saying the same (She has 1 top 10 and has only been charting a few times since 2022, don't get cocky) also she only charts majority of the time due to collaborations 🙄 the only other thing this woman can flex about is her body count which I'm sure I would be disgusted to hear how high it is. To the actual track sound, I'm not surprised that this gritty track really missed the spot and didn't have much to it apart from the spicy, controversial lyrics. If this lasts three weeks, I'll be gobsmacked. The only chance of this climbing is because of the lyrics. The back and forth by both female rappers is quick-paced and high-pitched but really fails to deliver a feel. 89 - Change Me, BigXthaPlug (5/10) Xtha is one person who can rap about nonsense, and yet I can still stand him, and sometimes even like him; he doesn't hold back and has a really heavyweight hip hop style, and his dark undertones could be why people see him as a favourite. I feel like I should dislike this guy because he makes a lot of music I would perceive as rap cr*p, but something is stopping me from calling it that. It actually has work; this only charted higher than 'Leave Me Alone' due to the lyrical lemonade drop of it. 87 - Lost in Love - Rod Wave/Be Charlotte (5/10) 82 - Even Love - Rod Wave (5/10) 75 - The Best - Rod Wave (5.5/10) 63: Apply Pressure-Rod Wave (5.5/10) 57 - Turtle Race - Rod Wave (5/10) 54 - Never Mind - Rod Wave (6/10) 50 - F*** Fame - Rod Wave/Lil Yachty/Lil Baby (4/10) 46 - Angel With A Attitude - Rod Wave (4/10) 44, Federal Nightmare, Rod Wave (4/10) 36. Sympathy Is A Knife, Charlixcx Ft. Ariane Grande (3/10) Still terrible on the second listen, someone commented, "Sounds like me on the toilet." I totally agree, this glitchy Electropop song did not need Ariane Grande on; this doesn't match well, and I don't get why the Internet seems to love this; the same songs spat out and mixed up again with production that's just overproduced and lacks anything that will keep it known. Also, Brat Summer is dead; stop pumping out these remixes for the sake of "I don't want to go back to being forgotten." 35 - Last Lap - Rod Wave (6/10) 31. Watchu Kno About Me, Glorilla/Sexyy Red (5/10) It's basically a flex song about how successful they have been and then just a rap about their bodies. This actually wasn't as bad as her other new entries, and I thought it had a memorable hip-hop hook, which I thought was good. I actually did think this had some great lyrics, and it made me chuckle, but overall it's nothing to play again. 16- 25 (5/10) NOTEABLE CHANGES: Multiple songs have big drops due to the amount of new entries, mainly from Rod Wave's new album. Jelly Roll climbs 12 spots to 74 with 'Liar.' Good Graces drops from 44 to 70 for Sabrina Carpenter. Ksi and Trippie Redd's 'Thick Of It' jumps 20 spots to 84. 28 by Zach Bryan has a noteable drop from 42 to 59. Rod Wave soars up from 100 to 51 with 'Passport Junkie' due to his new album. Rod Wave also climbs from 97 to 49 with 'Full Fast In Love' once again from the new album. Hollon by Glorilla leaps up from 85 to 48 from her new album. Glorilla climbs up 10 spots to 22 with 'TGIF.' Gracie Abrams climbs from 31 to 19 with 'I Love You, I'm Sorry.' Jelly Roll is up 3 spots to a new peak with 'I'm Not Okay' now at 14. HOT 100 Summary & Review 15.10.24 #2 This week we have zero (yes, zero) new entries or re-entries in the top 82. Woopy doo, what a fun week! At least there's some top-10 movement. THE TOP 10: At 10, we have Beautiful Things by Benson Boone gaining 2. After a good week in the digital sales and an overall gain, it's enough to push back, not enough to push Pash. Please Please Please at 9 though, which sees a gain of 1 mainly because Of The Weeknd and Carti's flop of Timeless exiting the top 10 after a week; at 8 we have Lose Control spending its 39th week in the top 10; and now being the 5th song that's spent the longest in the top 10, easing past the competition is Taste at 7, which is up 2 despite its quick fall off in the recent weeks; Chapell Roan is climbing up to 6, which Good luck, babe, after a shook week, and Gaga and Mars are up to 5, including Die With A Smile, which is still picking up traction. Espresso heads up to no. 4, giving Carpenter her 7th week with all songs in the in the top 10, and I Had Some Help is up to 3 spending its 22nd week charting. Surprising Billie Eilish's music video is still gaining traction after a week, leading her to stick at 2. It'll be interesting to see if she can continue this longer, and of course at no. 1 for its 14th week is a bar song Tipsy by Shaboozey, which, in no surprise, is still no. 1 on multiple categories. RE ENTRYS: 98: Holy Smokes, Bailey Zimmerman [Who still cares about this?] 93 - Worst Way - Riley Green [Take out way and just keep this as worst.] NEW: 95: New Drop: Don Toliver I don't know what to call this song; it isn't fixated on one genre unless I'm just stupid (which I am). I feel Don could've put more effort into this; the song is called New Drop but feels really low effort and not like a new drop at all; it's repeated lyrics make it sound like a TikTok song, and it's low, awkward energy does not match any mood; maybe just not drop at all? 88: Fix What You Didn't Break—Nate Smith I really like this; Nate's vocal structure held up the base of the song, and the production didn't weaken any of the work out; the song did what it was meant to do! 87. We Pray: Coldplay/Little Simz/Burna Boy/Elyanna/TINI I already reviewed this, so I'll repost it: First of all, I appreciate that artists from completely different genres can come together and make something that works. As much as this is a decent song and something that works, it isn't amazing for me; it doesn't necessarily feel incomplete or glitchy; it just feels like there could've been more style showcased from each artist or just a little more spice. 84: Thick Of It—KSI/Trippie Redd Reposted review that I already did: At least he got something after his whole album got leaked. (Also, please take Lunchly out of stores and answer to the crypto allegations, KSI—we haven't forgotten.) ADDED NOTES: The songs have grown on me. UK chart Summary & Review 11.10.24 Hey guys!! I hope your having an amazing day. Am I? Well, hopefully this week will be better than the last. THIS WEEKS TOP 10: Sabrina dominates no. 1 this week with taste keeping a clear 7-week run at no. 1. She's keeping clear in the category's and looks stable, while wobbling at no. 2 is "Good luck, babe!" If it doesn't get an ACR hit, there's a likely chance that it could get jumped by a few spots. Gaga and Mars just jump to three with a tight gap between that and "Espresso" at 4, and Sabrina's third song, "Please Please Please," is sandwiched in sales between No. 4 and "Sailor Song" at 5. Seeing the jump of 5 spots, I would en't shocked if it covered more ground in the coming weeks (Sabrina watch out). "BACKBONE" is slipping to 7 for Chase & Status and Stormzy. It's not all bad, but if the sales have a drastic slip in the next few weeks, then we might be saying cheerio, Somedays is making ground to 8, but as much as the categories are showing green flags, I'm not convinced a song that sounds made to summer will hold up; we'll have to see! "Kisses" is still holding on to the lower end of the top 10 at 9, which has potential to last a week or more but could easily fail to do so, and finally "HOT TO GO" is a 10, which may seem in danger of leaving the top 10, but the only real person who could knock her out is Gracie Abrams at 11, with her climb of 8 spots. It really depends if her viral climb continues. NEW ENTRYS: 96: L'amour de Ma Vie, Billie Eilish Yeah, this is definitely better than "Lunch" 100%, but if someone told me this was from an album set to win possibly album of the year, I wouldn't believe you. Now it's not bad, but honestly? Is this a work of art? Lyrically, you can have points from there to there, but the backbeat and the vocals are seen before and just feel dull; it feels like any other light sounding. Billie Eilish song re-used, Not every song needs to have so many parts; that's insane. I love simple songs like just guitar and voice, but this is plain simple and not memorable. 85: Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me? - Taylor Swift Yeah, this is honestly decent. A highlight from TTPD? I wouldn't blame you for saying so, but for me I can feel her in the lyrics and the story's she's telling, and I think the production and vocals capture this well. At the end of the day, though it's Taylor Swift and this is like any one of her songs, it's gotten boring. Show us something new!! 80 - I Smoked My Brain Away - ASAP Rocky/Heap/Clams Casino I got so bored while listening to this I needed a dopamine boost from YouTube Shorts. Wow, could you make your vocal and the and the backbeat Any more boring? This is spelling another rap song yet again with a floppy, flimsy lifespan to anyone. 52. You Go Your Way, Perrie I dislike the inconsistencies in this. With the time the main verses kick in, the time of the upkick, and the way she sings this, it started off okay, but this derailed quickly, and the charts show that every member of Little Mix going solo is flopping, and I can't say I'm sad. 43: All My Love, Coldplay ALREADY REVIEWED, SO I'LL REPOST MY REVIEW HERE: This wasn't a gem, but there definitely was something special about this track. For me, it was the soft background with a warm, soothing voice that made this above any usual Coldplay love song. Good song! 40: I'm Gonna Miss You, Milli Vanilli Alright song. Very simple, but I don't have a dislike for it; it's not a perfect match. Between the vocals and production (the vocals were definitely done, my Milli *COUGH COUGH* lie.) It fits in well with its era and what it's doing, but it won't be a fan favorite for me. 14 - Thick Of It, Ksi/Trippie Redd Alright.. I'm going to get ready for the "You made fun of other people, but you like this 😂" replies. I like the song; it's actually good, and I don't get the hate over it. KSI's verses are catchy, and Trippie blends into all of it pretty well. Their energy matches the lyrics, and I think they put in that extra effort. I really enjoyed this! NOTEABLE CHANGES: "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield slides down 15 spots to 98. Hozier is down from 76 to 93 with "Nobody's Soldier." - Marcagi is down 18 spots to 90 with "Scared To Start"; "Tony Soprano 3" is down 32 spots to 76. "Riptide" is up 20 spots to 75. - 'N O C H I L L' Climbs 22 spots, 74 - Benson Boone weirdly continues climbing up (up 13 spots to 71) after stable traction and then a big drop. Nines exits the top 40 from 39 to 62 with "Going Crazy." "I Only Drink When I Smoke" Climbs up 13 to 61 "Heavy Is The Crown" drops 20 spots to 38. After 8 weeks outside the top 40, Jimin jumps back in at 31 (up 10). "The Emptiness Machine" is down 10 spots to 24. - Coldplay's album sees "WE PRAY" rise to 20 and "feels like falling in love" rise to 18 - The Weeknd and Carti's collab "Timeless" drops out of the top 10 on the second week (If this keeps dropping, The Weeknd might have to get a weekend job). NEW MUSIC FRIDAY REVIEW: 11.10.24 [DUE TO A ERROR SOME TRACK REVIEWS MAY BE REPEATED NEAR THE END, MY BAD, this took around 7 hours, enjoy!] Sympathy is a knife—Charli Xcx/Ariane Grande (2.5/10) I will never get BRAT summer, poorly produced repetitive rubbish. I don't get this new era of Charli and why she is continuing it outside of summer when it is known as BRAT summer!! It's sloppy and extremely overrated; just delete this. I Might Say Something Stupid - Charli XCX/The 1975/Jon Hopkins (5.5/10) The first BRAT song I really thought was at least ok, that's a change! It was surprisingly peaceful too. Hopefully it only gets better from here. The Karate Kid: Coldplay (5/10) THIS SONG IS ALREADY REVIEWED BY ME, SO I'LL REPOST WHAT I Wrote: Finally something new This one was interesting because I wasn’t expecting them to actually make a song for the movie "The Karate Kid" and even mention the main character's name in the older versions of the movie. Now I'm sitting here wondering why they made a song about some movie where a kid’s trying to become a karate master. I presume it's because the movie is about overcoming fears and being the best, so they thought using it for a song would be a good idea. Either that or they’re just begging to get featured in a Karate Kid movie. Think of it as Coldplay's usual; it sounds like something out of a heartfelt emotional movie scene, using a soft tune and voice to make the lyrics represent that specific thing. I'm good at music reviewing, but it's hard to describe the same song over and over and over again. To be fair, I'm learning still and don't know every piece of vocabulary, but wow, this is like when there's dry food in your mouth and you can't chew it down enough to swallow it. OTRO CAPITULO - Becky G (5/10) This is basic for an artist this big. Becky has made some great songs in the past (even my no. 1 most streamed in the past year), but the main structure of the song is built around the same beat that you can hear any foreign artist use—not bad, just meh. VIRGINIA Boy: Pharell Williams/Tyler/The Creator (5/10) This is ok but not amazing; more could've been done without overcomplicating this. I Never Loved You - Halsey (5/10) I'm not the biggest fan of the way Halsey sings the verses with the pauses and the fast stops, but this song isn’t honestly bad. Nothing is pointing out for me here as good or really amazing, but I don't have a hatred for this song. If it went viral and I heard it too much, I could get very sick of this easily though. I doubt it's going viral though. Late checkout: Lil Durk/Hunxho (0/10) Oh no... THIS IS HORRIBLE. Lil Durk starts by talking about how he's doing (Yk what) to a girl, and some of the verses are just gross and EWWW. He then shouts Mr. Beast. FEEL DISGUSTED FOR MENTIONING MRBEAST IN A NON NEGATIVE WAY. For people who don't know, MrBeast is known to have some controversy around him for a while involving minors, crypto and lotteries that aren't legal, promoting unhealthy products, faking videos that are about serious kids in need getting help for view count, mistreating staff, making rude jokes that I can't say, scamming, wasting people's time by putting them in rigged game shows, hiring bad people, hiding evidence, and a lot more . And Lil Durk thought, "What a great guy; let's shout him out." DURK NO, DON’T SHOUT HIM OUT!! Too late, and we've got this poorly produced, cheap, rotten piece of music that burns the ears and equates to gang brain rot. Feel ashamed for making this; I'm actually disgusted. WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME: GLORILLA/Sexyy Red (3/10) Both these people are in hot water with the public, and they deserve it. Their bland, overused songs and style contribute nothing to society and never will. Aperol Spritz, The Kid Laroi (3/10) Wow, I wasn’t aware it was going to be this bad. It's literally rap-style lyrics in a non-rap song with the same backbeat sticking with us the whole way throughout. The production and lyrics disappointed, and no vocals could even match this vibe. PUSH 2 START, Tyla (5/10) Tyla's songs are getting noticeably less unique with every release by her. Winning Streak: Jelly Roll (6/10) Emotional and from the heart, Jelly Roll matches the rock groove really well and carries the track to the end, one of his best songs in a while. CAVE: Dom Dolla/Tove Lo (6/10) This is good drum and bass; I think Dom and Tove really communicated well on this, and I wouldn’t mind hearing it again! How could you love somebody like me? - Artemas (4/10) The viral surge this guy is over. The new songs don't hit the same, and he was honestly never anything massively out of the ordinary. Good riddance to this music trending. Never letting go—Alok/Gryffin/Julia Church (5/10) Just your average electronic music; I thought it repeated a bit too much for my liking, and the 3 could've made something better. Next: Xavi (4/10) It sounds like your average Mexican traditional song, and judging by the cover, he's probably singing about rubbish too. Xavi's trend surprises me; what has he really given to the music scene? Backseat Driver: Kane Brown (6/10) Kane's voice is so fake and put on for these country songs; how do I know? Because he didn’t have this voice on 'Miles on it,' didn’t he? Exactly. I get matching the correct vocalization on each different type of song, but this is straight up pretending to sound like this. The song is actually good and didn’t overuse country slang, thankfully, but this shouldn’t become a hit. In the Living Room, Maggie Rogers (7.5/10) Heck yeah! The instrumentals on this rocked, and I love this style of Maggie Rogers—a perfectly timed, amazing song that matches in so many aspects. This is a gem! Mantra: Jenny (3/10) What even is this? This is a new level of "could've done better." Such a weak track. Why Lie? Skepta/Flo Milli (3/10) Your average "in the hood" song with a back and forth between Skepta and Flo talking about the obvious dodgy stuff I cannot mention and basically flexing. Keep living your dream, but this song is nothing to flex. 25: Rod Wave (6/10) This one wasn’t that bad; I actually liked it compared to his last 2 tracks. It sounds similar, but this definitely has a better vibe and style to it. Stupid Dumb: Mabel/Ty Dolla Sign (5/10) Sounds like Camila Cabello's new C XOXO stuff but without high pitch. Not entirely sure you should have picked Ty for this song, as he didn’t match the energy well for me and kind of took it his way more despite being the 2nd artist on the song. Gaslight - Boywithuke (5/10) I will never understand Boy Withuke's massive hype. Cupid's Bow, Olly Alexander (5/10) He entered Eurovision for the UK for the fame; he tried to make a ton of remixes and still failed at chart success, and now he's back with this. It’s like tea without milk. You have lost the fun main component of your music. This is not it. When I Grow Up, Alan Walker/Flo Rida (5.5/10) A fragile thing—The Cure (5/10) Levitating: RÜFÜS DU SOL (6.5/10) RÜFÜS always brings something new to music for me, something unheard, and I'm starting to like him more. Unique creation RÜFÜS. Keep this up! Leave Me Alone - BigXthaPlug (6/10) The swearing on this was a bit OTT, but it wasn’t all gangsta rap, and it's actually enjoyable. Decent from Xtha, I'll give this song a pass on negativity. People Like Us - Tim McGraw (3/10) Wow, this is terrible. I see why it's at the bottom of the new Music Friday playlist Putting autotune on an old country singer's voice fixed nothing. He's out of his prime. Tree Birds - Dylan Gossett (5/10) RICOCHET - Chase Atlantic (5/10) Smile Boy - Niklas Dee/A7S (6.5/10) I feel this would be really good with a Joel Corry or Jax Jones remix, but this is actually really good! The dance beat blends well with both their voices. The pace isn’t perfect, but it still works for what it is. Yeah, this is partly a basic dance song, and I wouldn’t blame people for saying that, but I really like this beat compared to the others! Magic: Jacob Collier/Emily King (6/10) It fascinates me how so many weird sounds that you thought would never make it into a song can be in one and still sound good! How Do You Sleep At Night? Cody Johnson (5.5/10) Cody's music is a mixed bag for me; he releases one unique song and then something basic as hell. This is alright for me. The drums and rock sound do create a good base, and Cody shows off a rougher side of his voice, which I think fits this song well. October Moon: Ricky Mitch & The Coal Miners (5.5/10) Brand New: The Blessed Madonna/James Vincent McMorrow/A-Trak (4/10) Of course, this was Radio 1’s track of the week because they love basic music with some upbeat moves that sound similar to any other. Balance: Strandz/Boj (5/10) This isn’t bottom of the barrel, but it’s pretty average. Nothing about this was memorable, and I also don’t think Strandz and Boj work well together. Right Now: Darkoo/Davido (5/10) This is nothing amazing; it's like I hired an African musician out of Dollar Tree. When It Runs Out - Vibe Chemistry/Felix Samuel (5/10) Sorry I'm Late, I Didn't Want to Come - The Wombats (4/10) I don’t like the childish, squeaky voice with those instrumentals nearer to the end of the song. Temptress-OOdeal (4/10) It's like original crisps; it lacks flavor. 15% - Victoria Canal (5/10) Shocked she’s in the NMF playlist and has nearly 18k subscribers on YouTube, but after an hour, she has 1 view and 1 like (Let's be real, she probably viewed and liked her own video). REGGAETON MALANDRO, Yandel/Tego Calderón (5/10) Really Jimmy? Babytron (4/10) I thought Babytron was Big Sean, and Big Sean was Babytron... The Mandela effect is kicking in, just like how I found out to say it's spelled "Sexyy Red" and not Sexyy Redd. Just My Luck, Obongjayar (6/10) After the Fred Again collab, he's gone back to being barely anything, and that’s sad because this is actually good! The style is very different but sounds like it could work on radio. Push this to the radio!! Aggressive: Jim Legxcy (5.5/10) I loved Nothing’s Changed by Jim. Despite this being a very changing next single, I still like this. It's not achieving by a ton, but it’s still fairly good. It’s more of a lighter single than aggressive. S D**** Whatever** - Vienna Vienna (5/10) IYKYK-XXG (5/10) If Blackpink had a "Made in China" version. On a serious note, it’s not bad. It’s just your average K-pop with a bit of rapping. Dizzy - Anna Graves (5/10) It's nothing new but not a recently trending sound either. This song has potential to be a lot more and be leveled up with more spice and a louder string of guitar plucks, but I feel this is a "Let's be like everyone else" song. Limbo-AAqyila (4/10) The singer didn’t even try. ARE YOU SERIOUS? flowerovlove (5/10) Just your average pop song. Put You First - Alexander Stewart (5/10) Habits (Stay High) - Spotify Singles - Yaegar (5.5/10) Distance: Tori Kelly (5/10) She starts off singing the love song with no passion in her voice. At least sound like you want to be there. It gets better as the song reaches the minute mark, thankfully. Thought of You: Sam Barber (5.5/10) I like the kicks and boosts in his voice when it’s needed. Catatonic-NNeoni (6/10) The changes of volume and sound in her voice using production were actually added to this track. Fair play; this is nice. A-Frame: Jeremy Zucker/Chelsea Cutler (5.5/10) This is alright and not poorly made, but there aren’t any bonuses here compared to your average country song. BITXH PLEASE - Lah Pat (2/10) What is this production and autotune? Oh, I beg, at least try. The amount of monotonous verses in this is a joke. Get a new team or at least get a real job other than making songs that could classify as kid songs if there were no swearing in them. Ur Gangsta - JAVVI ELIAS/Angel Dior (5/10) I can't even be bothered to translate the lyrics for a song with a title and cover like this. Not bad though. We Both S** Again** - 2AM-DM (6/10) Prayer: Äyanna (5.5/10) The fast speed on this was very complementing to the track. As much as Äyanna hasn’t chosen the best lyrical pick, I think this is a solid song. Little Town, Wyatt Flores (6/10) Laid-back country with meaning. I wouldn’t blame country radios for giving this a go. The different parts of the song are pieced together nicely by production, and the instrumentals are in no way lacking. They feel just right! The Aftermath: Carter Faith (6/10) This is Red Leader, a deeper sleeper (5/10). Deadbeat - Wallice (6/10) In the Shadow: Jersey (3.5/10) The type of basic, overproduced song that club DJs love. BUTTERFLIES: Isaih Falls/Joyce Wrice (6/10) The pitch change on this was timed correctly. No Genius: Raissa/Christine and the Queens/Rahim Redcar (6/10) This had a very strange production choice, but I actually liked this. The funky electronic beat doesn’t take over the track but just adds to it. She Wants To Go Dancing—Mt. Joy (6/10) The older tone on this is something that I like. Free Fallin' - Amaria (6/10) It's peaceful and puts me in a good state of mind. I enjoyed this. Nobody Move - Major Lazer/Vybz Kartel (2/10) What... why did you get a song about someone trying to shoot someone else and turn it into this style of song? It’s like putting death into a fun dance song.. what.. no.. it’s just weird and really doesn’t work. Sinner: Samara Cyn (1/10) Exact replica of Doja Cat, blasphemous, bad girl energy, same voice, puts on a similar music energy. This is horrible, and more rap rubbish too. At least try and make something different instead of rapping about rubbish while using a beat that sounds as if it was purchased on SoundCloud for 99p. Is this experimental music?? I can’t name one person who would play this... This is so bad I would change my name and move house after this. He honestly sounds like one of those men who goes on podcasts and tells young men they're nothing and should have some 6-pack. Quit the yapping and delete this garbage. This is so bad. It’s like if Charcoal was a song. Also, I can’t believe this is 5 minutes 43 seconds.. blooming heck! Cheers To Good Friends - Penny and Sparrow (5/10) Black Sheep - Ben Fuller (6.5/10) - Never heard of you before Ben but this is a good first song from you I heard, keep this up. Selfish - Solya (5/10) - Mid and bland. Broken Hearted A** B**** - Elaine (5/10) I promise - ISOxo (3/10) - Great were back to the "Let's repeat the same thing until the song is over" type track effortless. Nothing Would Change - The Linda Lindas (2.5/10) - Putting multiple children nursery games in the main verses of your song and repeating them just makes the song cringeworthy, if your lucky than your song might feature on Cbeebies. Reincarnation Of A Lovebird - Samara Joy (5/10) - Is not as magical as you think, it never has been and it never will be. magic 8 ball - Cavetown/Frankie Cosmos (4/10) Rain - mxmtoon (5/10) Chi girl - Dua Saleh (4.5/10) New York - Junior Varsity (5/10) My Beautiful Girl - Youth Lagoon (6.5/10) - Emotional and in depth and this captures a moment really well, This is more than music it's art. Mad as f*** - Cordae (4/10) - "I'm a big tuff boy" Aaaah song Wildflowers- Nao (4.5/10) - Let's be real here, any artist could've made this. Missing You - October London (5/10) - Reminds me of Khalid Friends In High Places - Zach Williams (6/10) - The harmonica and the small instrumental snippers worked well in this song, Zach's voice was an amazing pick for this type of song. Trouble Symphony - Carlita/DJ Tennis (5/10) - Forgettable production mashup A Thousand Years - Fazerdaze (5.5/10) - Liked the sound of this Sexy Goodbye - Chloe Qisha (5/10) - There's nothing diffrent comparing this to the average girl pop song, Chloe Qisha is a name I am getting more familiar with by every song but I think she's getting further away in terms of what I like, the production just did what they had to and didint push the extra and who's idea was it to have you rolling around in trash with banana skins in the music video??

A Modern Day Distraction Album Review – Jake Bugg This is my first full album review of Jake, so I'm excited 😊 And I still am after... OVERVIEW: This album explores multiple themes throughout its 12 songs, emotionally and lyrically. This album made me feel thoughts of happiness and uplifting while giving me scary realities of how fast time is moving and that I need to push on in life. This album definitely has repeats, and honestly, nothing hurt my ears. Jake has experience, and this album shows it. Shout out to the producers too on this. I think it's a pretty good sound, and wow! This time I do have a lot more to add in my... TRACK BY TRACK REVIEW: Song 1 - Zombieland (6/10) Jake's voice combined with the guitars works really well, and the production measures the correct pitch for every part too. Jake's voice is merged well for indie and soft rock, but this doesn’t give me any extras. As much as this is good, it's like a pop singer hitting the same high note – we know you can do it, and we want to hear something fresher to your sound. Song 2 - ALL Kinds Of People (6/10) This was definitely good, but once again, it's not making me feel anything amazing. It's just "fair play, that’s a good song." The lyrics were just recurring and played in a loop over and over again with the same noise, and Jake's voice already sounds like it’s going to get tiring after 12 songs. I’m only at song 2! This ain’t bad, but it’s not something I would play again either. Song 3 - Breakout (7/10) Spoke too soon – this is an amazing song! The positive message actually inspired me to push through, and this song is all about breaking out and feeling inspired! Because it won’t always hurt this bad. Jake sings it with a higher pitch in his voice than the first two songs, and it sounds like there’s some passion in the vocals too. Call this a breakout song! Look this up! Song 4 - Never Said Goodbye (7/10) I rated this before on one of my New Music Friday reviews, but listening to it a second time, it honestly felt harder. This is supposed to be about death – that they never said goodbye – but it hurts me from other ways too. It’s the kind of song where everything matches and can be perceived in many different ways. Wow, I went from having a boost of motivation to almost crying. Song 5 - I Wrote The Book (6/10) This is like "Breakout" but with slightly less of the cheerful high beat, while still remaining cheerful. I do think we are back to the kind of Jake which is average. As much as the song has a good purpose and is made well, having a positive song does not make me automatically give it a pass. This isn’t "meh"; it's actually decent, but I feel something could have been added to give it that extra needed hint. Song 6 - Waiting For The World (6/10) This had the same message as the past songs – grind because the world won’t just save you. This is a reasonable track that I didn’t mind. It was produced well and was thankfully put into the correct hands, but I do feel that Jake Bugg needs to try a more unique style to his voice or tone because at this point, anything different will refresh the mood. Song 7 - Instant Satisfaction (6/10) I feel this song has the ability to grow on me as time goes by, but judging by first listen, this isn’t a favorite. I do have to give credit though, Jake still manages to capture the moment of each feeling and emotion really well in his music and blends his sound with it really well even with this track too. It's not a memorable song personally, but I definitely see effort made on this. Song 8 - Got To Let You Go (6/10) This album is really one for ups and downs! This song follows the same format as the rest of the songs, but Jake's voice has more of a gentle ease at parts, which compliments the energy of this track well. Song 9 - All That I Needed Was You (6/10) This was the complete opposite of "Got To Let You Go" in meaning and lyrics. This time it’s more of a calming, light love song. This felt different from the previous 8 songs on the album but followed the format of it well. This is the type of gentle music we need. Song 10 - Keep On Moving (6/10) Follows the album's themes well and speaks the truth about keeping moving and not stopping. There is no specific memorable moment in this for me. The whole thing continues its same vocal and melody to the end. Song 11 - Beyond The Horizon (6.5/10) This had a really pleasant length, and the runtime being longer for this was a good choice too. In some parts of the song, I heard Jake's notable sound fade, which isn’t bad, it’s just different for the song, and it sounded refreshing as well. Overall, this song was made from the heart, and that’s what I love about it. Song 12 - Still Got Time (7/10) He really added in extra effort for the final push! The instrumental jam and the strong clear message that you still got time and it’s never too late to dream – wow, this felt deep in the heart, and I felt this message a lot. Jake meant what he said with passion and honestly finished off the album with a positive bang. Love it! BEST: Still Got Time WORST: Instant Satisfaction FULL ALBUM RATING: 7/10 Thanks for reading! Welcome to my first edition of the Billboard Hot 100 summary & review. This week is very mixed between the new and the re-entries, the top 10, and the good and evils of the charts. Some overstaying their welcome, and speaking of songs overstaying past their limit, we look at the top 10... THIS WEEK'S TOP 10: We see Sabrina Carpenter slip 2 with Please Please Please. It's honestly a fight between that and Taste at #9 with which one will exit the top 10 first. At #8 we see Lose Control drop a spot due to the debut. It's standing its ground but it's not climbing noticeably in any categories. Looking at #7 we see Chapell Roan having some bad luck as she drops 4 spots, that did comfort the fall for Die with a Smile, which only saw a loss of one spot. Then our usual drop due to the 2 newest pieces of promo, Espresso at #5 and I Had Some Help at #4. The recent collab between The Weeknd and Playboi Carti landed a top 3 spot at #3, but the new music video for Birds of a Feather saw it surpass Timeless to #2. And holding on for a goliath 13th week at the top is A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey, which could contend for the longest-running #1 of all time. What a change from when it first entered the charts!! RE-ENTRIES: 100. Slim Pickins - Sabrina Carpenter No surprise this re-entered; if it was a surprise, it would be a bad one though. 99. Close To You - Gracie Abrams Not a fan of Gracie, but this track isn't bad. 93. Liar - Jelly Roll Not massive on this, but don't care that it re-entered. 89. Baby I'm Back - The Kid Laroi Don't get how The Kid Laroi's hype is still lasting. 80. Chihiro - Billie Eilish Sighs... A bad single from a bad album. 78. I Never Lie - Zach Top If you ever promoted this as a good song, then you definitely lied. NEW ENTRIES: 98. This is My Dirt - Justin Moore I like this; the traditional twangy country sound with Justin's vocals worked well, and I can see American country radios working on this. Decent track, and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't like country slang in music. 96. Keep Up - Odetari As much as this was made for TikTok edits, I really like this. Can't lie, I was walking while listening to this, and it felt like I was in a cool edit switching positions. Nice groove as well, and the slowing down and change of voice near the end was smooth. This is BRAT but actually good! 92. El Lokeron - Tito Double P A party song that certainly gives me a boost. The fast-paced instrumentals with the traditional Mexican sound blended with no issues. I'm not the biggest fan of these types of artists' music, but I have to say this one actually impressed me, and the music video captured the lyrics well too! That's 3 good songs in a row so far. 91. Or What? - NLE Choppa/41 If you know me, you know that I don't like traditional rap rubbish because it's all flex, money, and a horrible thing to be a part of. They all pump out the same songs but with a different beat. Today it got worse. Some things said in this song, I don't even know if I can write in a review because it might break the community guidelines of some places I post. Even a lot of comments were hating on this. The cheap beat and lack of enthusiasm in the actual rap, Choppa and 41 don't work well together either, and for me, their vocals don't match. So what was the song mentioning that I can't mention here? I'll give you a hint—it was promoting a certain thing that's... you know what? I'm not risking my place on these platforms. Just check the lyrics for yourself. 90. No One Noticed - The Marias Wow 🙄, this is boring. The Marias sung a song that's supposed to have feelings and emotion but sung it as if they're a Walmart cashier saying how much you owe them. If this is making it onto the radio, then we are cooked. The extremely painfully plain beat with only a few moments of difference within the song, with lyrics so repetitive, it's bound to get a dance remix. Way to suck the fun out of my mood—this is awful. 88. Blow for Blow - Tee Grizzley/J Cole There is no way J Cole's last song was a demon with a black cross on the front cover, and now we have him praising Jesus in this song... like no way you just switched in a few weeks. This is either a troll or a crazy moment for 2024. To the actual track, I found Tee's verse more memorable and liked his fast style, where his voice is rough but not too rough. J Cole is a good choice as his vocals flow well with Tee's and make the song work. I'm not a massive fan that you're flexing money while promoting Jesus, but I guess rappers' lack of sense is just a thing these days. Oh, and one final jab at this song—don't seriously put a line of Tee Grizzley saying that he doesn't judge on the song with J Cole. Yes, J Cole didn't say the line, but he's on a song with it... and, well... he definitely judges people. 79. Heavy Is the Crown - Linkin Park I really liked their first single more, The Emptiness Machine. I still prefer it more, but Heavy Is the Crown is still really good. Emily Armstrong's vocals holding out as usual with the same power and consistency! As a fan of Mike Shinoda before he even joined Linkin Park, I am so glad that he's making even better bangers. Thanks to that legend, I've really got into rock a lot more! This song has style, the needed pace and push, and a legendary production team behind this! 68. Full Fast in Love - Rod Wave What a cringe, effortless song. And wow, the music video is enough to make anyone cringe. No way you picked a kid who looks 7 to pass a letter to a girl in class, and then love hearts pop up around the kid to be in the music video. What the cringe?! For the song itself, Rod Wave is rapping so bland for this song you can almost class it as talking. Yeah, and neither did I think a music video where a ton of kids featured would have a certain word being played while showing the kids. This is so disappointing that the one artist who probably would feature on this is MC Baba. 42. I'm Gonna Love You - Cody Johnson/Carrie Underwood Why do these basic country songs debut so high? There's always one, and sometimes for weeks on end. America needs to stop slobbering over this! The song's not bad; it's just meh. The vocals are timed correctly, and I have no problem with the lyrics or production, but on the other hand, this didn't do anything amazing for me either. 3. Timeless - The Weeknd/Playboi Carti I reviewed this last time on my UK chart summary & review, so I will repost my review here: This song isn't Timeless at all. In fact, I had my first listen to this the day it came out, but I don't even want to listen to this again. It was just glitchy to me and didn't sound like it was made right. But as long as Carti fans will shove Not Carti related pls don't send in our faces, it'll always give him relevance. If this makes The Weeknd's cut for his new album, then I'm sure the new album will suck. The first song did, but this is even worse. NOTEABLE CHANGES: Sabrina has a rise of 13 spots up to #87 with Sharpest Tool. Coincidence by Sabrina Carpenter rises 14 spots to #83. Billie Eilish has a re-entry at #80 and a big boost for Lunch. Addison Rae is up a mammoth 26 spots to #70. Dos Dias is up 27 spots to #61 for Tito Double P and Peso Pluma. Stealing the show with a ginormous climb of 38 is Beautiful as You by Thomas Rhett. Lil Demon is now the highest entry currently from Mixtape Pluto at #49. Juno by Sabrina Carpenter is up from #74 to #47. Good Graces jumps 14 spots to #41 from Carpenter's Short'N'Sweet. Luke Bryan roars up the charts from #73 to #39, breaking into the top 40 for the first week. Billie Eilish continues her chart success with Wildflower jumping 10 spots to #35. Chapell Roan spends half a year in the Billboard Hot 100 with Good Luck, Babe! dropping 3 spots to #7. The Weeknd and Carti grab this week’s highest new entry at #3.
