Glad I've found someone who also likes Anne-Marie's new stuff!
  2. I'm not saying she killed the nun at all, I think that was rubbish. She did however stress others in the process of buying the place and thanks to her silly decisions led another women to file bankruptcy.

Currently "Sports Car" is set to take my most played of 2025.
  4. I said that I don't support the really bad things (such as death threats) being made at Katy, but just because she's getting death threats doesn't mean that I can't speak about her choreography. The reason why I made this (believe it or not) was not because I had hate for Katy; I thought the situation was incredibly funny, and the low quality of things was amusing for a quick write-up, which I like to do. Believe me, if Katy made something truly amazing, then I would write about it, but come on? This is on a new level of bad. I'm not going to hate you or anyone for liking '143' (even though I don't). I actually like a lot of Katy's music, but she can't be defended here. Look at the worse things she's done with the nuns and Justin Bieber... This wasn't meant to be a serious post, but in all seriousness, she's not the greatest person anyway; it's not like I'm taking harmless jokes from a person with a clean record. this was also the first time I've ever spoken about the tours and about the 2nd time I've criticised '143' publicly, it's not like I constantly aim for the same person.
  5. Katy Perry is still overall a successful artist (and she's definitely had many hits) but seeing the peak she hit its sad to see her not live up to half of that.
  6. Global Spotify streams don't really matter anymore, the top songs there are more stagnant then the Billboard charts.
  7. I never even knew about her cut hair or disliked her from Dr. Luke. I'm not saying you said that but I'm just saying from my POV. Incase you or anyone is interested to read my 143 review I've uploaded it on AOTY- I may post it here to.
  8. As a non biased person, I just really didn't like '143.' And I was never a Katy hater before it.
  9. I used to like Katy Perry more. I think that most of this criticism is coming from a humorous point of view, the death threats and extra stuff is obviously terrible, nobody deserves that. I also really don't think she's putting real effort into this anymore, the tour and album hate is deserved, along with other questionable things I've heard about her such as with the nuns and Justin Beiber.
  10. "Katy Perry Thinks She's The Victim" Katy Perry, a name you've heard time after time. Maybe you think she's a pop princess, or maybe you see her as a woman who's fading into the abyss and is soon to be forgotten. Whether or not you think she is or have heard the flop of the, the, erm... let's just say "interesting" album that '143' was, I hope we can both agree that what I'm going to tell you is crazy. And before you ask, no, I'm not mainly going to talk about her album fails again or about her space flight; this is something completely new, her tours. (Although I will throw in a few references to her flight because it's so historic that I can't go without mentioning it.) For anyone wondering, a Katy Perry tour ticket costs around a hundred pounds or sometimes goes for a couple of hundred, and for any foreigner, that's quite a bit of money. So you expect to see top-notch Katy, right? Or at least good, Katy? Yeah, you're about to be so disappointed that you don't even realise. Well, let's start with what you would expect from the tour; surely the choreography can't disappoint, right? I'll let you decide; here are a few of Katy's performances on the '143' tour. 1. Katy runs out onto stage with a lightsabre to fight some Star Wars character and then pulls some moves that the Star Wars characters did while other animated characters are just fighting on stage for no reason. 2. Warms up by doing robotic-like dance moves before being lifted up in the air for some trick; this ultimately ends in her lifting up 2 feet or so before falling over backwards onto the floor. 3. Oh, you thought this tour was over? Nuh-uh, Katy cleverly crafted something in the background filling the whole screen of the concert, AI images of robot cats and her – what a cleverly crafted idea! Congrats to ChatGPT for thinking of it. 4. She fought a tube with steam coming out of it (rumoured to be a malfunction.) But wait… there's more! Katy Perry's tours aren't actually selling well right which results in re-sales. If you're lucky enough, you might get to see the astronaut herself, Katy Perry. For Katy, spending 11 minutes somewhere is a lot of time, so she must value every second she spends with her fans. But after all this and overpricing concerts with low-quality audio and giving performances that you could find in a McDonald's playpark, Katy had enough; how dare she get criticised for everything she's done for the country (and, of course, the fellow space investigators)? Katy spoke about how she felt she's being kicked around like a "human piñata". Katy, the only thing getting hit like a human piñata is you when you fell backwards a whopping two feet on the '143' tour. So, tell me what you think: does Katy deserve the hate? Or are you with me and agree that a Red Bull can give you wings longer than Katy Perry's flight lasted?
  11. Have a nice day, Jessie. Oh, and I'll keep spreading my honest musical opinion whether it matches what you fancy or not. Thank you very much.
  12. I only critique the music (which is what the website is supposed to be about- discussing music.) You go on a whole new level and critique me as a person just for having a music opinion.
  13. My post was to also give a humour edge alongside to the topic You've responded to me atleast three times on this site and it's always insulting me for my opinion, I've dodged you and made it extremely clear that I don't want to have this conversation with you. Its my opinion and I'm aloud to have that, is that alright?
  14. "Paying critics has just reached a whole new level." I feel that paying critics is one thing we overlook in the music industry, one thing that isn't always easy to notice or just something we pass off as promotion. But in reality it's a cry, a plea, a beg for people to listen to your album, and this time none other than Self Esteem has showcased how not to pay off critics without others knowing. In fact, I would bet good money she paid off the critics to rate her new album high. This whole story started when I was flicking through the new albums on AOTY, and one hated album (user score: 38/100) spotted my eye, that being 'A Complicated Woman' by Self Esteem, where SEVEN critics gave this a one hundred and equalled its critic song to 81. I've never seen such a big user and critic clash in my life. This album had more one hundreds than some of the most prized albums of 2024, and in case you're wondering, "How bad can it be?" Listen to the song "69" from the album; that was the second single released, and no, I'm not nitpicking the worst song because this was literally a single. For anyone who can't be bothered to hear the song, just take my word, the user's word and, basically, nearly everyone who wasn't paid off's word for it. Oh no, but this wasn't over, no, no, no. Let's look at the user score for Self Esteem's last album, shall we? Critic score (91/100) – user score (65/100) – and NINE critics gave it a 100; this album has the same amount of hundreds as the critics' number one album of 2024. Self Esteem is a pretty damn ironic artist name, don't you think? At least have some respect for yourself, or maybe just admit that you knew your music was going to get dumped on by everyone. But one I want to show you just really proves how absolutely fake these reviews are: Laura Dean - God Is In The TV - Score: 100 "With A Complicated Woman, Self Esteem proves once again that nobody else is doing what she’s doing right now – and perhaps nobody ever has." Yeah… Dude, to rate this album high was already a huge leap, BUT TO SAY NOBODY HAS EVER DONE THIS?! WHAT?! Laura has either just had too many drinks at the pub or is getting paid mountains of cash; nobody is taking a critic seriously after saying that. Once again, hearing "69", don't dare tell me nobody has even attempted anything like that. Damn, Laura, if you're reading this, then it's a reminder to get sober before you write your reviews. 😂 Now, I'm a strong believer in letting people choose their music taste and all, but it could not be any clearer what is happening here. Laura is either becoming more mentally insane than Kanye or self-esteem is paying for her college tuition to ruin her name in one review. You thought this was all over, didn't you? Nope. Because I've now got to reveal how this contradicts Self Esteem's whole character, she claims to all be about self-worth and pushing this whole feminist movement of mental health of how powerful and self-accepting people could be. Dude, you look at your lyrics of self-love and think you need to pay a few critics to get this noticed; that's not self-acceptance and makes her look more desperate. Now, I'm not some huge Self Esteem hater; don't get me wrong. But this is INSANE.
  15. US HOT 100 29.04.25 #29 THE TOP TEN: 10. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Down 1/65 weeks in chart) 9. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (Down 2/88 weeks in chart) 8. I Ain't Coming Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (NEW) 7. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Up 3/12 weeks in chart) 6. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 2/45 Weeks in Chart) 5. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (Up 1/54 weeks in chart) 4. Nokia – Drake (Down 1/10 weeks in chart) 3. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Up 2/NEW PEAK/11 weeks in chart) 2. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No Change/36 Weeks in Chart) 1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (No Change/10th consecutive week number one/22nd week in the chart) NEW ENTRIES: 98. House Again – Hudson Westbrook (3/10) Having to describe these insanely tedious American country songs over and over after the Billboard chart shoves them in our faces is insane. From now on, any basic guitar, country song that I've described a million times is just getting a low rating. I'm not putting up with this anymore. 96. Actin Up – Tommy Richman (7/10) This most likely only charted due to the Sexyy Red remix, but I'll only rate the original. It has that old-school funky hip-hop sound that is what Tommy works well on; it's better than 'Million Dollar Baby' and 'Devil Is A Lie' by far. Sure, it's similar to them, but Tommy's fun essence comes out a lot more on this. What we didn't need was a Sexyy Red remix, though. 95. Party 4 U – Charli XCX (2/10) Why is she back AGAIN? And how can people stand minutes of autotuned, repetitive, easily made dance music? It's worse than generic, and it's pretty disturbing how people can find a song at the level of AI anything interesting. Let's hope the resurfacing of the track from 'How I'm Feeling Now' disappears because we don't need this. 92. Whim Whamiee – PLUTO/YKNIECE (0/10) From the title and cover, I expected this to be a one out of ten song, and it was somehow even worse than that expectation. It's gangsta rap that sounds like a mix of Sexyy Red and Bhad Bhabie, as the lead vocals are more irritating than scraping your fingernails on metal. Think of it as a rich gangsta lady with pounds of makeup starting to whine on a song. I don't get how in a million years anything like this ends up charting or reaching public notice; this is diabolical and is easily one of the worst rap songs I've heard in my time alive. 91. Forever To Me – Cole Swindell (5/10) This is about a Christian country song about a boy meeting up with a country girl, as a love song. It uses guitar and drums to really bring out the forgettable American country sound. I'm not denying that there's emotion here, but damn, it isn't built on well – low effort. 87. Headphones On – Addison Rae (4/10) Yay! Yet another female pop act who fails to impress no matter what they release; that's another added to my list of the ones I dislike. I've never been a fan of Addison and wasn't expecting anything good out of this, especially seeing she's been on an insane streak of bad, but this is actually better than her usual; 4/10 is an improvement... but overall this is still just some forgettable pop song. 78. Steve's Lava Chicken - Jack Black (5/10) You've got to be kidding me… a 34-second song of Jack Black singing about Minecraft's Lava Chicken. I knew the movie had a huge first-week breakthrough, but it didn't really bring anything good out of it apart from brain rot, like this. This is like the time 'Man In Finance' charted last year. I'm not even going to take this seriously; it's guitar rock with Jack Black saying words in the strange ways he does. Let's just hope this randomness leaves the chart. 72. You're Ways Better – Forrest Frank (4/10) Oh boy, does this have to be the guy who makes Christian music go viral again? We could at least try to switch up the genre better to accompany more unknown sounds and mix things up, but this is straight up just a social media song where the vocal holds on "together" & "head" and other words make it sound unnecessarily annoying. 71. Happens To Me – Russell Dickenson (4.9/10) Reminds me of that really cringe country song which charted last year (I've forgotten the name of it). This is country combined with modern pop elements to make a more upbeat guitar song which doesn't just focus on the guitar to control the melody; it feels like the production has a lot of layers going on, but all just feel like they equal a really dull song that's a bad attempt to go mainstream. 8. I Ain't Coming Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (7/10) After hearing this and finding out Tate McRae is on the album – I'm hyped! This legit might be a good album... but I'm still scared about there being 37 songs on it. This is a classic country song with a more pop radio hook, which is a good follow-up from the 'I Had Some Help' collab. Post delivered a good verse alongside Morgan, but Morgan did better. The use of drums added to the instrumental effect, which I quite enjoyed. RE-ENTRIES: None. NOTEABLE CHANGES: Songs that fell 10 spots or more: 100. 16. UK TOP 100 SUMMARY AND REVIEW 25.04.25 #30 THE TOP TEN: 10. Bad Dreams – Teddy Swims (Down 1/31 charting weeks) 9. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (Up 1/NEW PEAK/11 weeks in chart) 8. Busy Woman – Sabrina Carpenter (No Change/10 weeks in chart) 7. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (No Change/66 weeks in chart) 6. Sports Car – Tate McRae (Down 1/13 weeks in chart) 5. Pink Pony Club – Chappell (No Change/23 weeks in chart) 1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No Change/6 consecutive weeks number one/11 weeks in the chart) NEW ENTRIES: 90. Spring Into Summer – Lizzy McAlpine (6.9/10) It's been quite a while since I've heard Lizzy – at times she can be boring, but I think she has potential. With this it isn't like she's giving us the 'Ceilings' of 2023; it's not as good as that, but it has a warm and chilled feel that separates it from other charting songs. Lizzy could make this a hit, but I think most likely it won't be. 82. Closer To The Floor – Jazzy/Ankhoi (7/10) Jazzy making sways away from your typical dance music is exciting to see, and it's nice to see her dabble in other genres. This has more of an alternative dance sound as it goes into Afro and house while maintaining a dance feeling. It's not basic nor safe, but it is pretty good music. If you like Jazzy's collab with KILAMANJARO, then very likely you'll like this! 80. Bluebird – Lana Del Rey (8.7/10) Yay! 69. NEW MUSIC FRIDAY 25.04.25 #28 Unshatter – Linkin Park (5/10) Great... we had three songs from their new deluxe, which came down to two after 'Up from the Bottom' was released, and now we're waiting 20 days for one extra song… It's more about the song now instead of a deluxe! What a terrible rollout. To the actual song, it's the most basic rock song from the 'From Zero' era that I've heard so far; the raging expression on the hook is the best part, but even that feels mild like the rest of the song; it just gets you nowhere. LUV? – Aitch/Anne-Marie (7/10) Anne-Marie delivers a fine and fun performance, but yet again Aitch ruins another song with his lyrics that sound so unoriginal; his lyrics are so straightforward it's painful. It's literally straight up; I want to drink, and I'll give you my penis; it's said in the most uninteresting way, with Aitch delivering a more forgettable performance than his 'Psycho' collab with Anne-Marie. It's not all terrible, though, as I can save this; it's club music. Mystical Magical - Benson Boone (7/10) A step up from 'Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else', this has a melody resembling 'Physical', which is shown more in the chorus. Benson gives a tune which makes you want to dance, but in an elegant way; it's Benson's usual, but it feels like it has more class to it. Pretty Ugly – Zara Larsson (1.5/10) So boring!! Reminds me of JADE. If this is the main single for an upcoming album, then I can't imagine what's next. She thinks that the electronic wave with a high vocal sound brings a dance queen energy, but in reality it reminds me of JoJo Siwa's 'Karma'. Pathetic. Stateside - PinkPantheress (8/10) She does it again and even better than last time! This new era by her is looking to be her best yet; the dance-pop has her fun and bouncy feel, which she's known for, and her vocals aren't even annoying to me; I like them. Tyrants – Sam Fender (6.5/10) You can never really understand what Sam's saying, but you just know that it's something emotional. I presume this could be part of People Watching Deluxe; it sounds as good as the collection of songs on that album. Monday – Quadeca (6.9/10) I just don't get the huge high scores for this guy. Yeah, this was pretty impressive still; it partly reminds me of Beabadoobee's newest album with the soft voice and real sound. The guitar always tends to provide Quadeca with a better sound and helps him. COUSINS – Kanye West (1.5/10) This is a song about how Kanye wants and has had s*x with his cousin and how the nitrous isn't really helping him; it sounds AI, and Kanye at times sounds like a whining, autotuned baby. Still a big improvement from 'WW3', though. Money On Money – Young Thug/Future (7.8/10) I must admit that I've gotten bored of Future, as many think so too. But this was a big improvement; the song had a more energised feeling with some beat bars that reminded me of the 'Fein' intro but lower in pitch. Poplife – Umru/Underscores (6.5/10) The bass is really there, but this just doesn't do it for me. ILYSMIH – Kali Uchis (8.1/10) This is an improvement from Kali's last song. The slow and soothing feel suits her well. Amen – Shaboozey/Jelly Roll (8/10) Rare Jelly Roll is a good song! I mean, Shaboozey most likely made this happen, but to see an actual improvement from Jelly Roll is nice. The guitar and claps, along with the hold on "Amen", create a good flow and a good hook, catchy country. Whenever – Megan Thee Stallion (9/10) Direct, fast, clean. As a Megan hater, I have to applaud this as one of the best female rap songs I've heard over the past few months. I love her fiery energy, but on this it's danceable and bossy and really comes across as giving us a true taste of her great side. Gripper – Flo Milli/T-Pain (0.5/10) This is T-Pain's third contender for worst song of 2025, and we aren't even four months into the year. I can't believe T-Pain is actually taken seriously by himself, and this vocal change on top of the already painful autotune is a killer. And let's not let Flo Milli off the hook; the country plucks into a rap beat sound like it was HORRIBLY mixed, and Flo's bad lyrics about "stroking it" are in the song, ewwww. The only positive here is that at least Flo can rap… But damn, this is criminally bad. My First Heartbreak – Myles Smith (8/10) Wow… Myles is stepping up to make better music! The emotion is here like always, and the slower ending is the best part because it feels like it leaves time to reflect on the song. It's delivered so well. Falling 4 U – Pola & Bryson/MPH (7.3/10) Simple but sweet. Down To Be Wrong – HAIM (8/10) An improvement from 'Relationships'. Nostalgia – Sammy Virji/Issey Cross (7/10) The song is about what the title suggests, wanting to be taken back in time, supposedly because of nostalgia. This is better than some of Sammy's other loops. Damocles – Sleep Token (3/10) Really tedious with poor vocals, a simple rock pattern and some piano. Sad that this will probably get traction. Roar Of The Lion (The Lions Pit) – Wu-Tang Clan/U-God/Kool G Rap/RZA (8.4/10) I loved 'Mandingo', and this does nearly as good; love to see it! It feels like it has an old edge and uses classic raps which we all know, but this time adds a Wu-Tang twist to it. Tears Dry Tonight – CYRIL/James Blunt (4/10) The only good thing CYRIL ever made was 'Stumblin In'. He needs to retire before he becomes modern-day David Guetta. If Karma Doesn't Get You, I Will – Lauren Spencer Smith (5.7/10) This is a turn in a different direction for Lauren. She takes off the overly expressive and plays this more like a radio pop song, but I prefer her expressive style, and this lightens down on it. A step down. No Secrets – Jessie J (8/10) Why am I not hearing of Jessie anymore? To the song, it has a sweet, lighter sound but also a sound that Muni Long or Coco Jones might give, a light R&B one. Same Sh*t – Murda Beatz (7/10) Partly reminds me of Playboi Carti. Square One – Redveil (8.8/10) Conscious experiential rap like Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, The Creator together – amazing! Cruel – James Arthur (5.7/10) I can tell he really wants to stay the same; 'Embers' is the only good song I've heard from this era so far. Don't Let Me Go - Tom Odell (6.9/10) The drums and piano with Tom's harmony were quite angelic, but overall, Tom still isn't at his full potential. Tell Me Where U Go – Clean Bandit/Tiesto/Peony (5/10) Standard electronic tuned music. Gimme Dat – Ayra Starr/Wizkid (6/10) Standard Afrobeats – I wish Ayra would get better. At The Beach, In Every Life – Gigi Perez (5/10) Hot take here, but Gigi Perez is kind of boring. Her sound isn't always a replica of the last song, but it's still pretty similar, and it's not like the same emotional indie-folk gets me or her anywhere. Dollars And Dimes – Faithless/Bebe Rexha (1.3/10) Wow… the most generic and pointless thing you will hear in a while. Bebe's worst song by far. Vertigo – Sophie Ellis Bextor (7.2/10) We need new Sophie to go viral instead of the 'Murder On The Dancefloor' re-trend. The beat on this reminded me of modern-day Kylie Minogue. Diva - Model/Actriz (7/10) Zoned off but in an enjoyable way.

  19. UK TOP 100 SHORT REVIEW 18.04.25 #29 This week I've had less time, so here's a review of just the new entries! NEW ENTRIES: 96. Angel Of Mine – Tobiahs (5/10) It's 2025; can we drop these glitchy 2000s-type club music songs? It's sickening and as messy as the viral Will Smith AI spaghetti video. Just downright something that you've heard somewhere else. 90. Don't Wake Me Up – James Hype (5/10) It's been a while since James has appeared for me; the last time I remember was with his biggest hit song, 'Ferrari', in 2022, which sampled a Diddy song from the early 2000s. I saw the clips on YouTube where people spoke about which they preferred out of Hype or Diddy. But now he's back, and I'm not sure if this is a sample, but it's pretty basic DJing; it's a looped electronic female voice saying "Don't Wake Me Up", pretty much lazily, and it showcases his over a decade-long career, giving this. 86. Lachryma - Ghost (7/10) Not a fan of the things the band say and promote, but I must admit that the guitar rock and lead vocals are quite impressive; I see why they're going above many rock acts in the UK charts. 48. Blink Twice – Shaboozey/Myles Smith (7/10) This just made it into a 7/10 or green rating; that was incredibly tight. Now, I may not be the biggest fan of Myles, and this collaboration may not be a big or even small step to making anything that's more original, but it's pretty damn catchy. It feels like the whole song hits as a hook with the guitar kicking in and the lively melody, which from the start pulls you into the experience quickly. This is a part of Shaboozey's deluxe version of his country album, which contains his hit song 'A Bar Song (Tipsy).' 30. Henry, Come On – Lana Del Rey (8.3/10) It's Lana's signature; she uses her soft vocals along with slow and expressive instrumentals that help bring across the meaning of the song. It's better than 'Tough' and brings hope for the rest of the album!

NEW MUSIC FRIDAY 18.04.25 #27 (SHORT VERSION – limited time this week) Bluebird – Lana Del Rey (8.7/10) Lana has such a gentle and beautiful voice, and her background is always so lovely and relaxing; the harmonica here, along with the well-composed orchestral-like sound, does a really good job… Dare I say it's better than the main single, 'Henry, Come On'? This is what floating feels like – JVKE/Tori Kelly (8/10). The free-flowing piano melody, along with JVKE's up-and-down vocal melody and Tori's elegant singing, made the song sound magical, as if you're actually floating. This is so amazing! I Ain't Comin Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (7/10) After hearing this and finding out Tate McRae is on the album – I'm hyped! Invincible – OneRepublic (6.8/10) Not as good as their 'Nobody' song from Kaiju, but still is good. This is giving a summer feeling where it's an empowering, strong song. Sure, it could give a little bit more to be more unique, but it's not bad. Proud to be a problem – Tom Macdonald (2/10) Whether it's rap or country, Tom is still crap, and I am one of many who share that opinion. The one thing that separates this guy's music from others is how bad it is; this is repetitive, talking about the same thing Tom always does; it's sad. It's a country where Tom sounds worn out and gives no effort; instead, it's a sad rant about how he's disliked, and I know why he is.
  22. UK TOP 100 11.04.25 #28 THE TOP TEN: Sleep Token lands their first top ten new at 10 as Chappell continues her fall to 9 with 'The Giver'. WizTheMC jumps from ten to 8 with 'Show Me Love', as Sabrina has a big sales spike with 'Busy Woman' at 7. Also climbing on sales are Tate McRae at 6 and Benson Boone at 5. Doechii also climbs on sales with 'Anxiety' at 4, which is just under this week's highest new entry, 'Azizam', at 3. 'Pink Pony Club' sees a large spike in sales, but it is nowhere near 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren, which continues its already mammoth lead. NEW ENTRIES: 99. Catch These Fists – Wet Leg (6.7/10) It shocks me to see so many songs charting that I've never heard of before. The name Wet Leg is familiar in the back of my mind, though. The song has a messy yet controlled feeling where the energy tends to be careless and free; it sounds like something you would hear on a more niche Radio 1 show. 97. Passo Bem Solto – Atlxs (4/10) I know we've had a genre rush into the charts recently, but foreign phonk music is pretty unexpected. And this totally Seems like its purpose is for TikTok edits, seeing its 1:40 second length and the fast-paced beat switch, which really don't indicate much work; you can tell it's for the socials. At best this'll make it onto an IShowSpeed fan page edit. 93. Chest Pain (I Love) – Malcom Todd (4/10) This was a 6.8/10, but now it's a 4/10. The way he says love just makes me want to smash my phone; it's so irritating. What even is "I LUH HU HU HUV? Yeah, no... at least the guitar solo at the end was decent, but what even was that crackling? Nah, I'm not doing this. 78. All I Ever Asked – Rachel Chinouriri (8/10) Funny enough, I recently listened to her whole 2024 album, and this was in it. The song brings out the emotional feeling of a breakup, which Rachel sings about from someone else's point of view. She does that well due to the use of the straightforward lyrics and the instrumentals hitting the feeling well. 77. Steve's Lava Chicken – Jack Black (5/10) You've got to be kidding me… a 34-second song of Jack Black singing about Minecraft's Lava Chicken. 58. All I Know – Rudimental/Khalid (6/10) I skipped listening to this for New Music Friday; I should've known that it'll pop up later in the week anyway. It's Rudimental's classic electronic style; it's about putting faith in someone, and Khalid plays the lead role differently than his usual lead role, not like he really adds anything amazing, though. Pretty generic; can't say there's anything worth delving into. 35. Tonight – Pinkpantheress (7/10) My previous listen: It has her signature style while still maintaining an enjoyable sound! Added: I adore her dreamy vocals on top of the bubblegum pop; it loops, but it's also a catchy loop. 23. End Of The World – Miley Cyrus (7/10) You know I'm happy to see Miley taking a new path in music and all, but this still just isn't the crème de la crème like people say it is. Sure, she's got some nice raspy vocals along with the more polished pop-rock sound, but this isn't exactly anything never seen before. 10. Caramel – Sleep Token (7/10) Previous listen: Better than their previous single, it brings more hope for what's to come. Added: Yeah, there was quite a bit of hate behind this, and I do agree there are some straight choices; on second listen, the vocals are sounding like poor AI. I do think the general quality of the beat saves the song, though; the drums that bring flavour go into a more raging rock high, which sounds like if The Weeknd and Linkin Park did a collaboration. 3. Azizam – Ed Sheeran (4.5/10) Previous listen: This is Ed's weakest lead single ever, and now I've just lost hope in him entirely... He's not going to go out of his comfort zone, and he's still going to try and push bland radio pop that sounds like it's made for a children's costume party. I really regret having hope in this because I should've known that he was going to continue getting worse! This as a main single is laughable, and the worst part is radio will probably eat it up and make it go number one. Oh, and for anyone thinking, "Maybe the next singles will be better," he's actually already revealed three other song titles and performed one live. The live song is called 'Old Phone', and it's a standard sad guitar song! So it's official; we get a hyped-up hook, which is really Ed singing louder, and some low-effort dance-pop melody. Thanks a lot. RE-ENTRIES: 96. Conceited – Lola Young [Glad this is back!] 94. Back It Up – Josh Baker & Omar+ [I've already forgotton this...] 90.
