New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 8 February
Do why list it for the 22nd physical?

iTunes Chart: February 2010 Pt. II
Rihanna has no physical. Alicia Keys has no video yet. Timbaland and Keys yet to peak IMO. I doubt if Rihanna will past them both. What happened to the US Haiti single? If it don't happen soon it won't be #1 on iTunes.

UK singles charts......in a sorry state?
It's not just radio. It's the whole media. The gossip in the papers, TV time. Generally these things are a function of popularity or interest not of music talent. That interest is many times from the viewing figures of X-Factor. So someone like Jedward wins out on being interviewed over Ellie Goulding, thus compounding the problem.

UK singles charts......in a sorry state?
Agree about TOTP. Such a program is in much need now, but I think it should be more like a video chart countdown. Not a live act show. Radio 1 has become The Sun newspaper of the Radio airwaves, popular, mildly entertaining, but really $hit content when you think about it. Time to scrap the snorelist playlist, bring in more DJ's like Scott Miles and Live lounge type features.

This. No radical rule changes needed. The OCC(or whoever it is doing the rules) do a great job. The problem is elsewhere.

UK singles charts......in a sorry state?
Easy solution ban X-Factor c) Media to promote British acts The issue here is X-Factor artists take the TV airplay, the newspaper inches, the Jonathan Ross time(think Jedward), radio airplay and don't allow british artists to get off the ground. Been a problem since Pop Idol startered but the combined effect over years is taking it's toll. X-Factor is unlikely to produce any longer term talent, so it's not good replacing long term career with instant 'stardom'.

Helping Haiti has gone up a lot. 5 times Owl city. Still not at the level of RATM did on downloads at Xmas, but with physicals it seems likely it will.
