Yeah, it's far from clear if Germany will be top/second/ or not qualify in Group D. If England qualify(which seems likely) they could play Germany, Ghana or Serbia

Rubbish. Argentina had a run of poor results in the world cup qualifying under Alfio Basile - no Maradona experimenting here - and a final lost to Chile which signaled the acceptance that Argentina was no longer #2 in South America. This resulted in the resignation of Alfio Basile and replacement with Diego Maradona. Argentina hasn't improved much since then, including a 6-1 lose to Bolivia of all countries. In South America, Brazil is #1, while Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay near in ability, although all of them have the problem of being inconsistent with away matches. Don't assume Argentina are the team they used to be based on history or lagging ratings, they are not.

It's not a Spanish crisis but a Euro crisis. The Euro is flawed mechanism that really should not of got off the ground but it made policital sense and politians put short term politicial gain over long term economic well being of a country. The long term reality is starting to hit home. Spain cannot adjust there currency to sort itself out - and politians cannot save money they have already spent. One option is for Spain to leave the Euro and devalue there worth in the same way the UK has partially been able to do. As Spain is not the only country in the mess Portugal, Italy and Ireland have a similar problem. It's possible they can get together and create a Euro-minor currency, so the Euro gets split up. A minor Euro would also be attractive to many eastern European countries. Ultimately though these countries have to stop spending what they don't have. Currency devaluation only goes so far and while a good relief it only buys more time by effectively selling a countries assets. I see the Euro falling to pieces; the dollar collapsing and the long term effect of all this will be to end the imbalance between the western world and the rest of the world.

I don't rate Argentina as they qualified in 4th place amoung South American teams, but they are still playing better then Spain. Why do you say the Dutch will fade? They seem a rather decent and little mentioned team.

Algeria have to win. Remaining goalless is more of a problem for Algeria. I was quite critical over the mass hype over England before the USA game but since then it has become more reasonable. I think England will win this game with some energy left to spare.
