Delta Goodrem - Heart Hypnotic
I am loving what I'm hearing from that teaser video  It sounds as though it will have it's appeal beyond Australian shores which is a very good thing. This did come abit out of nowhere didn't it - we hear about it on a Friday, released in Australia on the Monday! I wonder if we will get a COTU re-release or a new album, if its the latter I will be amazed, it takes years not months for new music usually. That said she wrote/released MI about 18/19 months after IE so who knows. I think her music's better when she doesn't have years to over analyse and re-invent the wheel over and over if you know what I mean.

Delta Goodrem - Child Of The Universe
Top 5 for me at the moment... 1. The Speed of Life 2. Hunters and the Wolves 3. Knocked Out 4. Child of the Universe 5. Alcohol (shame this is only an iTunes bonus track) Close behind are Touch, War On Love and When My Stars Come Out. But really there isn't one song that I'd skip so full marks from me.

Delta Goodrem - Child Of The Universe
Here's my initial thoughts on first listen... Child of the Universe - Fantastic intro to the album, love the piano at the beginning and indeed throughout. Love the lyrics too. Very instant song, its got a great beat and I really like the way the song flows! Touch - Sounds different to the way she's performed it recently both in the way she sings it and the background music. Having said that I love it just as much and I like that she's performing it with a real acoustic twist. Wish You Were Here - Classic Delta piano ballad - what she excels at! But its got something fresh that updates the "classic Deltaness" if you get me. Knocked Out - Wow got goosebumps when this started. SERIOUSLY AMAZING SONG! Country flare but poppy enough. Like a grownup Taylor Swift but 1000 times better. Love the guitar, catchy, relatable lyrics - this could be a hit anywhere but can especially see this doing well in the US. Sitting on Top of the World - Having listened to this quite a few times since April - there's not much I can add here but it flows well with the tracks I've just heard and is still a great pop song. I'm Not Ready - More stripped back than the duet version she released with Michael Bolton. I prefer this version. Made me a little teary, the way she's singing you can tell she's pouring her heart out. Hunters and The Wolves - My ears are delighted! Story telling lyrics like the Delta of old but with a Kate Bush like twist. Amazing, love it! Dancing With A Broken Heart - Album version of this song sounds more like a remix of the single version - I do like it though. Hypnotized - "Seven Years without love made it clearer" ... little dagger there Delta lol. Good little song which I think she wrote for a certain Jonas Brother! Not particularly wowed by this on first play, I like it but it will probably take a few listens to really appreciate it. Safe to Believe - Adore the piano in this... its reminiscent of a 90's ballad but sounds up to date too if that makes sense at all. Like something Mariah could have sung of old - Delta even tries such a high note it could be Carey herself. Great song. The Speed of Life - Fabulous lyrics. Loved this one instantly. This is the kind of song I wanted Delta to deliver with this album and she's done it. War on Love - Love the storyline of this song. Can already picture an amazing music video for this. Another instant favourite. I Lost All Love 4 You - It's not difficult to work out who she's singing about. I love the way she hasn't held back what she really feels but as a listener you can still relate to it. Another brilliant song - nothing sounds like a filler track thus far. When My Stars Come Out - So upbeat and anthemic - "I smile when it’s the hardest time to smile, I climb when it’s the highest mountain to climb". My head was bopping all the way through this - its very catchy. Control - Love the way she sings this. Gone is innocent Delta. Alcohol - Love the rocky chorus and the lyrics are again to the point! No Communication - This reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on what it is. OVERALL FIRST IMPRESSION - I like that she isn't talking in riddles like the Delta of old - I am loving this Delta - she means business and isn't scared of what you read into the lyrics! That makes the songs more relatable and probably more commercial - but the album doesn't sound it - it's a modern sound but still retains a sense of what made her so different in the past. I am so happy with the album - in a way I wasn't sure what direction she'd head in but I couldn't be more pleased with the path she's taken - I love it, alot! I'm really proud of her - what a lunatic that makes me sound but who cares. I love this girl - she speaks to me in a way that no other artist does. Come on pay day - I need to order this asap and get the acoustic disc in my life.

Delta Goodrem - Wish You Were Here
Loving the studio version of Wish You Were Here, absolutely beautiful  I've just seen that the B-sides have been uploaded on Tumblr so shall give those a sneaky listen this evening. I can't believe the album is being released this month, 5 years of waiting is nearly over!

Delta Goodrem - Dancing With A Broken Heart
Don't you just love that a fan has to upload the video to tumblr because Sony/Vevo have made the official one only available in Australia <_< Great video though. Delta looks stunning. The video defo adds something to the song that I can't quite put my finger on.

Delta Goodrem - Child Of The Universe
Another batch of acoustic performances with better audio quality. Touch is quite possibly one of my favourite Delta songs ever - I'm seriously loving it. I better not play these too much before the album comes out - save myself a bit :P Medley of I Will Always Love You, Don't Speak and Wannabee (Amazing covers, she could totally record these!! ) FJDUGTqT2F8 Sitting on Top of the World (she fluffs the lyrics but I like this nonetheless) tLpKP1EbG2E Touch PFMHIN0q4JY Wish You Were Here 5a15fSY-06k Dancing With a Broken Heart I7gj6P0tsyw

Delta Goodrem - Child Of The Universe
Loving Dancing With a Broken Heart, was on holiday last week and it was just about all I played on my iPod. Delta performed an Up Close and Personal concert today and debuted some new songs. I really love the direction she is heading with this album, can't wait for the whole thing  Touch in particular is amazing  Wish You Were Here is a lovely ballad to a lost friend - a real tearjerker. Enjoy people! :D Child of The Universe (Chorus) uldztazWQ4s Touch l2TIU9g0M6Y Wish You Were Here dfI620K8EYE Dancing With a Broken Heart (Acoustic Live Version) NQQlnrqJDZc

Can't remember the last time I listened to IE (great as ever though) ... so thanks for posting that.

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Yes, The Voice has premiered. It was on before the Logies were televised. I've seen a few videos on youtube and she seems like a good judge of talent so far. Nobody picked her as a coach though. She's also got a good chemistry with her fellow coaches. There's a girl that sung Samson by Regina Spektor who was really good. ZhtwkTc326A

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
#4 on the iTunes chart :D A spot above One Direction who are being promoted like crazy it seems in Australia. I've spent most of my day on the internet watching or reading about Delta :P This takes me right back to my teen self being absolutely obcessed lol.

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Great performance. Loved that :D She so needs to do a show in Europe!!!

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Promo includes a Logies performance tommorow (Sunday in Australia) and The Voice starts tommorow as well so hopefully that should help get the song climbing the charts. Just checked the Aussie iTunes again and its still at #12, which to be honest after 4-5 years out of the charts is respectable but of course it'd be great to see it go all the way to #1. Have you guys heard the b-side "Uncovered"?... its great! If the album is similar to this I'm gonna be a very happy camper! http://soundcloud.com/deltadaily/delta-goodrem-uncovered

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Simple but effective video, it serves its purpose but of course like always they could have done lots more with it. I love her various looks in the video - simple but beautiful but I hate that last outfit on her, that didn't suit her at all. She went from floaty pretty dresses to biker trashy girl standing awkwardly at a piano. Bit of a strange styling choice there.

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Playing it over and over already  I never think of myself as a stan kind of person but it all comes racing to the surface with new music from Delta. And yep major Delta pedestal - I think thats because we all know with the right song she could be a MAJOR star so we're always willing her to push the limits.

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
It's not the kind of song that makes you think "this is the best song thats ever been written" but I love it ... it's full of joy and just makes me feel very happy and summery. :D It's catchy and something I can see normal radio listeners enjoying so hopefully that will translate into sales/charts etc.

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Gorgeous! Would love the album shoot to be similar to this shot. Been listening to all 3 albums and lots of b-sides today (in full for the first time in a very long time). I'm so ready for some new music but I have loved my trip down Delta memory lane today, having a good listen to the oldies and reconnecting with them as such. :)

An actual tear formed in my eye upon playing that preview  How pathetic. I can't believe everything's starting to happen, the wait is finally nearing completion.

Have emailed loads of the Delta fans I knew and nothing :( Unfortunately I think we're in trouble, Delta Daily is going to obviously have more pulling potential. I don't want to give up but it does seem like our efforts might ultimately be in vain.

Blimey! The end of an era indeed. This news makes me very sad I have to admit. I have a lot of great memories and have met some great people because of it so yeah its shame :( Classic Sony though, no chance to save personal messages or anything like that! <_<

SAVE THE DELTA FORUM!!!
I'm a little gutted but hey ho :( Maybe one day we'll get it back but it was good while it lasted! Thanks everyone, it's been fun!

Delta & Nick Jonas
I cannot for the life of me get my head around this. It's just such a wacky pairing  Delta's been trending worldwide on Twitter all day so hopefully a few people have looked up her music because of that!
