The Return of the Spice Girls Tour 2007/2008
I'm not sure if it's because of what we know now but I found the show incredibly cold and quite depressing (Viva Forever & 2 Become 1 aside!) in parts. Thank god for SW19!

Forever - Album Survivor
Weekend Love is their worst song period. I can't believe it's not in last place.

Break Up Song • OUT NOW
Kinda disappointed we were potentially eyeing up a return to the Top 15/10 for next week and now we'll be lucky if it stays Top 20

I'll forever be frustrated by the mid-week release. The original version was doing so well and actually charted so their team panicked and released the song on a Wednesday. If they had held off, it was looking likely to go Top 10. It then just teetered around the low-teens and radio stations stopped supporting it. That snap decision really cost them having their first post-album Top 10.

Spice Girls - 'Forever' (25th Anniversary Vinyl - 7th November)
I definitely think they missed the boat by not releasing in 1999. There was still so much good will towards them and enough time for them to be missed but not overshadowed. In my mind, I envisage a surprise debut performance at 99 VMA's. Imagine a performance a la Fifth Harmony, throwing 'Geri' off the stage. The Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) that would've occurred! I think a campaign from September 99-March 2000 would've been a great way to go out. If they had went out on top, I suppose public perception wouldn't have been as bad and they could've returned some years down the line, but alas we'll never know.

Yeah, they are sales when the album was first released in the US! Their US certifications are due an update. I'm certain Wings, Black Magic & SOTME are Platinum as well as Touch & Woman Like Me being Gold.

What is your favourite Little Mix album artwork?
Slightly O/T but Woman Like Me single cover should've been for LM5. Their best artwork by a mile!

LM5 - How would you have managed it?
I think a summer release would've been too premature for the era to begin, they had just finished their last one in December 2017. 'Only You' was the perfect bridge between 'Glory Days' and 'LM5'. 'Woman Like Me' was the perfect lead single. The feature created interest outside of the fanbase and it became their fastest streaming single. It was also released at the right time. Had the label conflict not began, an X Factor performance should've been slotted 2 days after the release to help their chances at the getting the best debut week sales. I'm confident it would've been a dead cert #1, especially if their team could've secured a Nicki appearance. There was a definite lack of promotion for 'WLM' - both in the UK and internationally, more talk show appearances and performances should've been booked to maximise hype and awareness. On album release week, 'Monster in Me' should've been added to most NMF playlists in place of 'Strip'. The song is more appropriate for Winter and a ballad would've helped get an older demographic on board, especially with their appearances on shows like Strictly & Graham Norton etc. It would've allowed them to showcase their vocal capabilities and help shift 'LM5' over the Christmas period. A dark music video (and vertical Spotify video) with striking visuals a la Billie Eilish's 'Bury a Friend' would've been ideal to give them more of an edge and tap into the mature image they wanted to portray this era. It could've also helped with streaming support internationally. The major concern I have with the album is for how great in quality it is, there is definite lack of single choices. I would've went for 'Wasabi' as single 3 because fan favourite. I do, however, think they are doing the right thing by releasing a new single this summer. Hopefully it will help push the album to platinum. But I do think the era has been handled well, considering the label conflict and transition.

I'm watching an Official Chart Company Little Mix Top 10 and it's listing that 'Move' has sold 550,000, 'Love Me Like You' 560,000, 'Hair' 620,000 & 'Wings' 640,000.- How did you get into the Spice Girls?
I was born in March 1996 so I missed the girls at their peak. However, they were present ever since I can remember. I have two older sisters so of course they were fans. I remember one my siblings getting the Mel B Concert Collection Doll for her birthday in September 1999, that could be where my obsession stemmed from (I still remember the smell of the roll on ). I then started to collect the dolls and any CD I could find (my poor Dad getting dragged by a four year old to HMV every weekend for a Spice Girls CD lol) and even managed to snag old Pepsi posters from my local newsagent. The Forever era was the first time I can remember seeing the Spice Girls active as a group and not just from old VHS/CD's. I recall watching The Box in hopes that the girls would come on and when the music video for 'Holler' came on I praying that Geri would make an appearance haha. My parents also bought me the album for Christmas and I have memories of listening to Tell Me Why before Christmas dinner. I also have a vague memory of reading the newspapers and seeing Mel C on the front cover (at the album launch party) sticking the fingers up to the press. My love for the girls has stayed throughout the years and the impact they've had on my life is undeniable. They were my introduction to pop music and what a group to begin with.- 'Shout Out To My Ex' • 1st single
It's also Platinum in Ireland!- BRIT AWARD WINNERS!!!
Seriously, I'd even take a performance of "Touch - Acoustic". They clearly don't have enough time to rehearse for a full choreographed performance, so showcase your vocals to the general public ladies. - Sales • Part 2
