This has properly hit me over the last few weeks. Honestly, song of the year.

So chaotic. I love it.

Zara was my first thought. She was literally one of the most successful females her first era and then released Ruin My Life… Whilst it did go top 10, I don’t think it had the punch she needed. Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Cheryl are probably the ones who had strong fan bases and have now fallen flat (bar Ellie charting high with her album). Hopefully some of these awful rappers lose their popularity too. Drake does not seem as popular these days after getting to #1 with some shocking releases. Jess Glynn to FLOP too.

Okay I’ve listened in full and have some thoughts: First off, it’s not as strong as debut and I feel the latter half is better than the first? Can’t believe they’ve put a Rose solo on an 8 track album (poor Jisoo… JUSTICE). Happiest Girl In The World, Tally, Hard To Love (Obviously Ready For Love and Pink Venom) are my favourites. Yeah Yeah Yeah is awful. It is as if they’ve tried to jump on the 80s trend but it doesn’t sound finished? Very choppy. Typa Girl is pretty Meh in general. I am enjoying Shut Down more after a few listens though.

In all honesty, I think the whole Between Us era was very meh, Obviously two of the girls were pregnant, but the music videos have 0 replay value. I am in the minority who prefers Love Sweet Love to No - but both could do with a revamp. I think they girls wanted to try The Saturdays’ approach to an album release.
