  1. Still wonder how many copies an album like this can sell because of a. Gary's fanbase, b. general public, c. quality. Are there indications how many copies are pre-ordered? Do you expect more than 40,000 copies in the first week?
  2. I don't know, Gary swing(ish)? A good song for SCD though
  3. it is time for 'something else'. He had been commercially successful so many years. He can afford to do something near his heart. I also remember that he wanted to do something as 'Francis..." 2003 before he met or while he had met Stephan Duffy. Then he did Intensive Care. At least that is what was written in 'Feel'. He is spreading his wings: LME, Port Vale (somehow), this streaming platform. I am wondering how the platform is doing/will do. He can make the money there to support his projects
  4. Do I miss something? I just read that 'Candy' is a tiktok trend? Must be a misunderstanding I assume...
  5. I really like the song and while twitter is harsh youtube comments are far more positive. Great analysis. Alex. I wonder if he will be in Wetten Dass this year. The show has been stopped but this year there will be a one off in memoriam and he always went there :-). Well, this year it will be virtual then.
  6. I like the tempo of the song and do not mind the lyrics. When you look at twitter it will not do well
  7. For my opinion it is irresponsible to announce a tour while countries go into total lock down. Therefore there must be a reason behind it and what else than selling the album? Only to delay the tour 6 weeks afterwards. I doubt that many people bought the tickets and neither would they for 2022 in these times and that is independent of Gary, TT, Robbie or even Taylor Swift. At least in Europe, USA maybe different. Fortunately this does not have an influence on the quality of the album. It will also sell without these tricks as Gary is a great song writer.
  8. It was irresponsible to schedule the tour from the beginning. They did it to sell the records, not a style I like
  9. Colette and BB in the double trolly?
  10. Still my favourite even compared to solo Rob
  11. I saw an advert by Robbie about LME which has opened in Liverpool and London. I wonder about this and how this will work out under the Corona impact
  12. Hadn't he done well last year?...aside of the horrible Christmas show? I understand that tomorrow a CiN charity single is out with Rob's involvement. I think that the week after he will announce the e-release. There had been pictures shown on Ayda's insta when Rob we with his make up team (the one when Colette sings Taylor Swift). I assume this was for pre-recorded interviews. The fact that we do not see something does not meen he is doing nothing (I hope)...still wonder about Switzerland though :-)
  13. I also think it will be a fan album. Either there will be a 'normal' Robbie album end of the year 21 or in 2022 and the next tour in 23 :-(
  14. What sales figures do you expect? I read somewhere that Sam Smith sold 20k in one week and the no 1 Adriana Grande not so much more. What do you expect from Gary?
  15. This is indeed well done by Niall. I like him and his music too
  16. I agree in many of your thoughts, Milly. However artist want to be successful. Fans want their artists to be successful, at least this is what I want with the few I really like. Artists need to earn money, they do not earn money with album sales if they are not Adele. So it is about tours. I see that tours of Gary or TT did never sell somewhere outside UK or Ireland at least not to their standards. I wonder if this will be different because I do a song which sounds like a certain target group. Will he sell in Russia if he sings Russian? There had been lots of Russian comments underneath Party like a Russian of Robbie. This did not make the song a success. Do Gary, TT or Rob still want success? I am sure. I think the success of Gary's album will show after the ITV special and I think this will pay off for him
  17. Milly, I am not following it in that detail, but when you say Elita opens a new market for Gary....does it pay off? Does Elita chart in these new markets? I think it is a question in what you want: sell records or sell music. When artists like Gary, TT or Robbie have reached the almost legend status rarely a new kind of music outside of their core fans comfort zone pay off in records sell. The last time it happened was Candy which most Rob fans hated but the general public loved. Only being interested and not buying is not really helpful in reference of success. Then it is only about a different style of music.
