Self-titled album Beyonce released in 2013.

Yes, #2 will be nice if Adele actually releases the album. No one can compare to Adele, period. And also, Navid you are my dear friend and you know I love you but just because you hate HML and other singles doesn't mean this will be their worst album. I happen to be very excited for this album. Comparing their success with other comebacks is pointless, can we just enjoy them and not worry about the rest.

For an act as big as her, of course it would make sense. Beyonce also released her album out of the blue and it made a huge impact.

Yeah but Adele is Adele, her 25 album sold 800,307 copies in the 1st week alone in UK, I doubt even Take That's comeback with Robbie wouldn't have been able to beat this. Besides, its not like their every album went #1 so its not a tragedy.

I must say that Shane's joke is pretty funny lol. Even if they end up #2 because of her it would be nice. I mean, she's Adele, her albums sell like candy.

To be fair, Coldplay is also sort of making a comeback after having new singles since 2015 so its not surprising. Westlife also had a hit with HML, this is their 4th single. I am not saying Coldplay's other singles will flop like Westlife's but they just might. Heck, Arabesque is already flopping. Also, Westlife's HML was in Top 10 for a few days and then landed at #13 so they actually did better than how Coldplay is holding up now with Orphans.

I don't know what to think, I do hope they are keeping it all for the album. On one hand, I am glad they are letting them to release singles because that would never happen with Syco but on the other hand, they are too quiet about everything else. I still think guys are better off without Simon though, even their album promos weren't anything spectacular with the last few albums and at least Westlife aren't stuck with 1 lead single, and most likely a cover.

Like I said, I think Louis is talking about the tour here, not TV promo. It looks like they will have just a few gigs, not a big tour. I would like to know though what Universal has in mind for the album release week, hopefully they will actually do something

Louis mentions again about Westlife being scarce, he meant their gigs this time around: "They are just going to Cork next year, I think. Two gigs there and then maybe something in Dublin the year after," "That is why they are making themselves scarce. They are not going to flog themselves and the album is good." https://www.buzz.ie/celebs/louis-walsh-repo...n-oneill-341406

Exactly, no surprise there. Plus, its their 4th single already, there is no buzz for it. I still think the album will be fine though, even Shane as a solo act had a decent 1st week when he released his solo albums.

Its such a shame Radio 1 won't support them, you just know if Harry Styles released it, they would play it 10 times a day. I would understand if Westlife released the same old stuff but their 3 singles were current.

I don't know how is My Blood so terrible. It has heartfelt lyrics and nice melody. Lets be honest, if this was released by Ed, I'm sure it would do much better just because he is Ed.

I think 4 singles before the album dropped is enough, it would be too much if it was more, especially since they have 11 tracks on the album.

I don't see the point in re-releasing a single, I am pretty sure they won't do that. I think they simply know streaming is impossible to deal with for an act like them so they aren't bothered about singles success.

They fell to #6 in UK iTunes chart. Not really surprising with no proper promo, they will only fall even further each day.

I think the boys will always struggle with streaming, even if they release the greatest song of all time. They are an old act, they don't have exposure and their die hard fans are not into streaming, at least not in such capacity that would help the charting.

Was HML this high on Youtube?
  20. zeze88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
    #1 on Irish iTunes.

iTunes: #2 in Ireland #3 in UK Now if only they had some promo in line I am sure it would be even better. I get it if at Universal are saving most for album release but come on, 1-2 performances of My Blood would be very welcome.

Which site are you looking at for this info? Because I am using kworb and it is still #19 there.

Its such a sweet video and its lovely it showed Mark with his Layla at the end :)
  24. zeze88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Hopefully it will hold better considering they are releasing a music video right away. Some promo would be nice but I don't know what the hell are Universal thinking at the moment.

Not a bad start on UK iTunes, they are at #28, they were #40 an hour ago. I am sure it will get higher when they video drops in about 2 hours. iTunes means nothing these days though but still, nice to see them climbing for now.
