And thst is my point, if they took a longer break, this new average album would have been their comeback. In terms of quality, Spectrum is already now better than BSB latest album "Who are the sex police, my sex has no rules" this lyric makes me cringe.

We can talk how BSB were great but their new album is also trying to be modern in 2019, its nowhere near Never Gone.

They didn't chicken out, Simon forced them. Its really disgusting how Simon manipulated Shane to agree, he talked about it in his autobiography. Its such a shame the ONLY single from that album was the only damn cover on it.

There is nothing wrong with certain change, I really don't see they are losing their identity with the songs they released. Comparing anything with Take That's success is not right because a huge shift happened since then. The whole music industry changed so much. Also, who the hell knows what kind of music Brian would even make, the last 2 of his albums are cover albums, not sure what sound would he even have so its not 100% sure he would help Westlife in some way.

I don't know, this song doesn't sound that different for them, How To Break A Heart and Close were more modern as well.

Simon Cowell? No way! If Simon was around, there sure wouldn't have been a 4th single and they would have probably released a cover by now.

I miss the days when 19 tracks was normal. We should be thankful I guess, The Script's new album has only 9 tracks!

I posted in the wrong thread, here: Mark's lyrics: Oh I was 22 years old My mother told me that you learn more as you go But I've spent many nights alone Do I need more than me to make this house a home 'Cause sometimes there's more to the story They don't know what's going on My life behind closed doors Maybe there is nothing wrong And I will keep holding on I know I can be strong 'Cause I am just like my mom

Length of the tracks don't matter. When you judge the song If for example that is only 2:45 in length, you can think its short at first glance, but when you listen to it, it is the right amount, it would drag on if it was longer

Don't get me wrong, I agree Kian is not the best singer, I shudder whenever I hear him sing Queen of My Heart on concerts  I do think he is better than Nicky though. However, it would be nice to at least hear them in the chorus, that they harmonize together just so it doesn't sound like a duo.

Cool that you love it, considering you hated the teaser :D the only thing that I mind is that it sounds like Shane/Mark duo, that you can't even hear Kian and Nicky in the chorus. I do like the gospel feel it has with the choir though.

It is out in New Zealand. As I don't have Spotify in my country, I just use VPN and I have Spotify set to NZ so I can listen to all the releases earlier.

I listened to the song. You can definitely hear Ed wrote it but I like it. It is a ballad but a modern one, if that makes sense. You can only hear Shane and Mark this time around, it sucks that they can't be heard in the chorus though. I am sure the lyrics Mark has speak to him considering he was not happy while he was hiding his sexuality.

Not now but you kept mentioning before it hasn't sold out thousand upon thousand tickets left available etc. The gigs aren't a week away or something, they still have time to sell it and this promo won't be about it, it will be about the album so it wouldn't matter anyway. Anyway...Louis can say stupid things, we are talking about the guy who described Shane's sound as the next Michael Buble which is ridiculous. As long as he actually books those so called right tv shows, it should be fine.

Again with the tour not being sold out, you make it sound like they only sold 50% of it, when in reality it is 80% and they still have 10 months time to actually sell it. As for Louis saying this, I haven't seen that anywhere but even if he said it, it all depends what he actually meant by it. He does have a point, not every show helps and who says they would all even want them. They are not Harry Styles who can have a full week on James Corden for example (yes, I know it is an american show, I just used it as an example).

I think you are being a bit harsh Lomadz :D just because it isn't a souring ballad, it doesn't mean its fake and not Westlife. Its not like they didn't have midtempos before, Gravity had a lot of them. Better Man was more of a typical Westlife ballad and it didn't do much so maybe that is why they chose this song.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the sound, I thought this will be a big dramatic Westlife ballad but the chorus sounds like it is more midtempo. I like it a lot.

I just mean, media have been wrong plenty of times so its not surprising if they jumped the gun by giving 18th as the date, simply judging by the fact they stated it will be out in October. Anyway, it was reported recently Ed wrote 5 songs for them so that leaves only 1 that hasn't been released. So we will definitely have singles not written by him. If the video for My Blood is good and it is meaningful as they say, maybe it will have some impact. However, I will keep low expectations considering this is their 4th single.
  21. zeze88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
It doesn't mean they moved it, only the media wrote that date, they never actually said it will be out on the 18th. I didn't mind Dynamite at all, its a nice midtempo song, there is nothing embarrassing or comical about it if you ask me. I didn't like Better Man though, I think it is a nice album track but not single worthy.

I meant the fact that Dynamite didn't do great with teasers doesn't seem surprise single would be a good idea. Shane did it with Send Me The Moon and nothing happened. What I mean is that they aren't Beyonce that can pull it off with huge success.
  24. zeze88 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
I don't think Westlife can afford to make a surprise single, Dynamite didn't do much. They need to tell the fans.

Is it possible that Mirror got it wrong about Westlife's new single being released this Friday? Because it is strange the boys themselves haven't even posted 1 tweet about it.
