Oh yes, this has far exceeded expectations, for sure! Expecting a very high position in today's industry for an act like Westlife is completely unrealistic if you as me, peaking at #13 is an excellent result. And I'm sure majority expected the song to drop out of top 40 in its 2nd week. Heck, I even saw a comment saying they should be lucky to even reach Top 40.

What is this show Mrs. Brown? Will they perform the single there or is it just an interview?

This really is an amazing result, I never expected that, I doubt they did either. And to think they are achieving this with only 2 TV performances in the first two weeks.

I see media making news out of that Westlife comment about wanting a duet with BTS. I doubt it will happen but any exposure is good.

Ah right, I mixed the info up. That is indeed very consistent, I doubt anyone expected this result. In the end it really doesn't matter they missed Top 10 on the first week because many of their top hits didn't have longevity in the charts, they often dropped out of Top 40 very quickly.

Yes, I'd like to know that too about these UK sales you posted Charis as wasn't it reported they sold 10,441 in the first week? This doesn't sound correct then.

The last time it was posted here, the single was #124 on the UK Spotify and now its #91 so thats why I presume such leap is thanks to the remix.

I am not talking about that remix, the official single is climbing again which could be because of that release. Acoustic version also didn't end up on some high position but it clearly helped the official single as it was #20 that week.

Yeah, its great to see such results. I can’t remember how much did older singles stay within Top 40. Hopefully the remix will help next week.

Yeah, I'm a fan and even I hate so many covers. I think only Uptown Girl and You Raise Me Up really were great for their career, everything else was an overkill. Not many know it was Mariah Carey's wish to duet with the boys though, they just accepted and that was also a great career move as Mariah was still huge back then. As much as Simon helped them a lot, he also ruined their reputation when you think about it.

Consider them one of the worst things that ever happened to music is basically then considering most of the boybands the worst thing that could happen to music. I never quite understand the pure hate Westlife often gets, they are simply singing in harmony, they aren't murdering anybody. I mean, they never ever tried to be something they are not nor did they think they are above anybody else.

Thats amazing to be honest, it means the song is appealing to the public despite any promo, I doubt this is even bought by Westlife fans now, these are are probably casual listeners who simply like the song.
