I haven't seen negative press apart from this, where? I read that a few Irish celebrities backed him up and that 1 where Nicky said Louis Walsh told him it is a good song but that he won't win. I think this last criticism is justified, I really thought he would do tons of promo since he revealed his song so early but no. I doubt this is his fault though, the team nehind him should have made an effort. No matter what happens though, he is releasing his debut album in early May which is a smart move.

It is a shame that he at least didn't perform in the UK. If his job is really an issue they should habe thought about that before RTE select him to do this.

All he can do is do a great performance, that is it. Even if he just qualifies, it will be nice. And just like Nicky said, they can always get back to the public choosing the act next year, it obviously wasn't working since Ireland hasn't even qualified for a while. I think poor Nicky is getting too much heat for no reason. No one is saying this is a winner song or that he is a perfect singer. But come on, the song is harmless and catchy, just what Eurovision is all about. And it is not like amazing singers ALWAYS go to Eurovision, this show is more than just the voice. To be perfectly honest, Swedish entry to me sounds worse than Irish one, Frans voice is also very average and yet Sweden is considered one of the favorites to win while people blast Nicky's vocal. The thing is, it is all subjective really, what songs you like and don't like. But again, Nicky is criticized way too much. He is so happy and proud to do this, most with his fame would be embarrassed to do this. But he is genuinely so honored to do this.

I hope Nicky will attend Eurovision In Concert on 9th of April, that is a good opportunity to present his song. Even if he just qualifies, it will have a positive reaction since that didn't happen in recent years. Also, regardless of his Eurovision part, he still has an album coming out. I don't expect anything, not after I see how Shane and Mark are struggling. But as long as he is happy with it, that is the most important thing.

I hope you are right. So far he has only been in Ukraine so I'm a bit skeptical but maybe it will happen, there is still time. I think Sunlight is too underrated. I mean, it is not wow but it is good catchy pop tune that grows on you. A few days ago I heard entry for Sweden - in my opinion, the song is weaker than Sunlight and Frans vocals are not anything spectacular - and yet Sweden is 2nd favorite to win. People seem to always point out Nicky isn't a great singer - well Frans isn't either but he is still doing it, so what? Nicky improved a lot from his first live performance on D'arcy Show to Ukrainian final and that was just in 1 week time so I think he will be just fine.

I'm happy she is representing my country, this is a good comeback. The production of the song is great. The only small issue that I have with it is that the melody reminds me more of something Irish, rather than Croatian.

Just yesterday I checked the views on Sanctuary and it was around 18K. Today is at 46K. I don't know what caused such a increase but I am glad it is getting more attention.

Bit shaky at first but it got better as the song went by. Hopefully he will get more comfortable til May, I think nerves hit him. I think he can be better.

The single will be out 11th of March

Nicky has radio edit and a single version of Sunlight. Single version is a bit longer 3:30 - it has one extra line "we wanna live it like the sun never will go down" in the 2nd verse and towards the end arrangement is a little different.

He is really doing a proper worldwide release - he said on Twitter that Sunlight will be available in USA, Canada and Mexico on February 26th

Nicky revealed that the single is out next Friday and that he will do a few performances next week as well. So we will see how good is this live.

Glad to see people are giving this a chance and liking it. He needs more promo but I'm afraid he will always struggle like this as long as he is an independent artist. It would be great if major label supported him in the future.

Sadly it is not doing well, on Youtube it just has 6 000 views and that is after 3 days :unsure: I really don't know what he could possibly do to get more recognition, it is so sad to see he is so ignored. See, there it is... I wish there were more people like you who would just give him a chance. Because honestly, whoever hears him, says his music is great. I have not read one bad review or a comment so far. I am also still puzzled by why the music critics haven't reviewed his album, I could barely find 3 reviews. It is like no one cares which is truly a shame. Even bad reviews/comments would be better than this dead silence...
