Hi Herbs, nice to see Toyah featured. She is one of my favourite singers from the 1980's. Did not not know that she has released new stuff in the last years. Have to check that out.

1991 is a great year of music. Unfortunately, this is not mirrored by its #1's. There are only three great #1's for me, of which one is also an older song like Bohemian Rhapsody. I have to say in that respect that Color Me Badd has one of the better #1's of 1991 for me, which I would rank at 5. It is not a very big favourite of mine, but the beats are quite good and if you don't care too much for the content of the vocals they are quite catchy too.

Summer is ending but Petal still holding strong keeping the top position for the 4th week. Another long-standing hit is Nessa Barrett's "Too Fast To Live" and with "Bad Girls Never Die" she has now two Top 10 hits in parallel, which is quite rare for me. The Polish Pop invasion continues with 3 songs in the Top 10 and a further song at #11. Sphrot scored the first Armenien Top 10 hit ever in my charts. I like the refrain of this song too much to put it that low. Overall, I also like Eminem's performance here. A good catchy song for me. This is my #8. 08. Eminem Feat. Rihanna - The Monster (24) 10. Jason Derulo Feat. 2 Chainz - Talk Dirty (28) 24. Robin Thicke feat. T.I. & Pharrell Williams – Blurred Lines (31) 25. Will.I.Am Featuring Britney Spears - Scream & Shout (26) 27. Sam Bailey - Skyscraper (27) 28. One Direction – One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) (30) 29. PJ & Duncan – Let's Get Ready to Rhumble (29) 30. James Arthur - Impossible (25)

Let's go Petal - I know you can do it!

Votes are in.

I know only one song + my song. This will be interesting.

Hi Adam, nice to see all these Ariana along with Marina, Lily and Felicia.

Hi Rep, nice to see another Ella Langley song charting. Good to see also Marianne and Sombr entering.

nice to give Nessa two votes + Petal, Carly Rae and La Roux.

Hi Nick, great gain for Petal. DNH is a real grower for me, so nice to see it here.

Hi Adele, from Max McNown I have heard a nice new sng this friday - need to check out more from him. Nice male pop.

Hi K, what a run for Clean Bandit. The Philip George song is a nice house song - played that a lot in 2015. Nice to see Maranne entering.

I made the decision it has to be something from Poland as this is my favourite pop country recently. More difficult it is the song choice. Which polish songs should I send? I narrowed it down to 5 choices. Overall, I find Syren very good but hate the Youtube visualiser of it. The other 4 are also big current favourites of mine and have a proper visual representation. Please vote your favourite and give some impressions here.

It is so difficult this contest. Should I send cheesy party-pop, conscious female pop, polish or finnish pop music. I don't know anymore what works and what not. At least that Atmos Bloom disaster makes me confident that I don't understand the ALT-Block and that I should send pop.

looking forward to it - one of my favourite albums of the year so far.

This was already quite low for 2012 and does not get much better for 2013 - second-last place for me. 10. Jason Derulo Feat. 2 Chainz - Talk Dirty (28) 24. Robin Thicke feat. T.I. & Pharrell Williams – Blurred Lines (31) 25. Will.I.Am Featuring Britney Spears - Scream & Shout (26) 27. Sam Bailey - Skyscraper (27) 28. One Direction – One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) (30) 29. PJ & Duncan – Let's Get Ready to Rhumble (29) 30. James Arthur - Impossible (25) So we share a lot of dislikes ;). Now bring on that uninspired dance song I have on 31. 🙂

I am still stuck between 4-5 songs after my #1 choice has gone.

This is really a long registration phase 😉

Congratualtions to @jimwatts - this song was really one which stood out for me. Thanks to @dandy* for the great presentation of the results - this was really beautiful. Thanks to all voters for PJ Harvey. Well, the topic was really not so much for me as I am no big fan of singer-songwriter music aka a man with his acoustic guitar. So it was not that easy for me to find something fitting. PJ Harvey came quicly to my mind as she is one of my favourite artists of the 90's. I initially submitted "Down By The Water", which would have fir perfectly to the topic. It reached only #38 in the UK charts and was initially eligible. Later on it became ineligible because it had too much streams in comparison to the other songs submitted. So I could keep PJ Harvey but had to choose another song. My choice was "50 ft Queenie", but I was unaware that this was from the time where PJ Harvey was a group and not PJ alone. So if I could turn back time I would have gone for another artist - the french chansonnier George Brassens.

Hi Sergej, great bounceback from Canto D'Amore. Slayyyter, Adéla Top is great - hope to see Katseye there soon too.

Hi Juranamo, nice new entry from Muna. I got the whole album on CD and it is very good. Four favourites of mine in your Top 10: "The Times", "Animal", "Brand New Chanel$" and "Guillotine".

Hi John, great #1 from Jungle. A bit of stagnation for Lily this week, but maybe there will be a boost next week. Nice to see Katseye entering as well as some classics from Dolly.

Hi Sven, I must be the only one, who does not feel Movin' To The Sun. I like 2-6, 8 and 10 from your Top 10 a lot. Nice to see Adéla entering - hope it will gain next week.

Hi bGood, strangely have not heard any of your new entries except #2, which I quite like.
