Rachel Croft ties ABBA and Deafheaven for the most weeks at #1 with three. She holds off Olivia Rodrigo from the top spot with some help from Sawako and Kazehaya from Season 2 of Kimi ni Todoke. But that's not the most important part of the charts. Neither are the huge gains this week from Sabrina Carpenter or the Baby Dolls. Rather, it's Dolly Parton having some chart impact after her unfortunate passing. May she rest well. Oh and Anyma releases a smashing new single to debut high on my charts. You can say it's an Atoma bomb 😉🥁🗣️

I've got some interesting lore on Tie A Yellow Ribbon. It charted because of Ninoy Aquino day, named after one of the most vocal critics against my country's dictatorship back in the 70s to 80s. When Ninoy decided to return from a 3 year political exile in 1983, people used this song's gimmick and tied yellow ribbons near Ninoy's house to symbolize a warm welcome home, which he would have received if he weren't so shamelessly gunned down at the tarmac. He was 50, and the date of his death, August 21, became Ninoy Aquino day in his memory. And the yellow ribbons near his house became a symbol of democracy ever since. That's why a lot of Filipinos like me have a soft spot for this song, even if not a lot of people talk about it. Anyways, that's not one of the songs I expect to carry over next week among the ones you mentioned. Those would be Serena Joy, Don't Leave Me, Wannacry, Here We Go and House Tour. Puppet Show is getting better with time (unfortunately not the case for the Kiikii song), and if Mollie takes a dip in chart positions it will merely be incredibly strong competition. I personally would have loved the song better if Olivia provided a bit more details in fleshing out Serena Joy (apparently a character from The Handmaid's Tale) since she's both the title of the song and the lens in Olivia's tackling of human complacency and/or complicity in societal evils. But the production is lovely, Olivia's delivery sounds tired but angry in the best way possible, and the WHAT YOU GET bit is catchy as all hell. Thanks for commenting :D

Glad to see the olivia songs, kgb and aint in la move up <3 love melatonin and ugly and rotten too Also, stacked throwback! Funny how Lover by Taylor Swift is here when Puppet Show by Mollie Elizabeth, a song that takes inspiration from that 2019 cut, is in my top 10 rn =D

Glad you love those songs <3 Wannacry and DLMOTDF will succeed more in upcoming weeks Carly will rise even higher I love the Lover by Taylor Swift coded song, istg TYSM all for your comments <3

The Katseye and Slowave takeover, although somehow they dodge the need for album recurrency rules at the last minute. Also, the top 10 has a massive shakeup (causing old songs and lower half chart entries to exit en masse) and Ninoy Aquino day warrants the debut of a classic Tony Dawn and Orlando song. Katseye and Slowave prepare for a takeover next week as Rachel Croft bags the #1 with what is quite possibly my favorite non-hit track of the year. Also, some movies like 2025's Superman and 2024's Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F make slight impacts alongside recently binged anime Kimi Ni Todoke. By the way, I made a massive mistake last week: Good Time by Snow Man already charted before! I'd like to make some changes to my recurrency rules, and all of what I put here will be final. I'll be posting which rule set I'll be using for a given week on my charts, but here are the new and updated rules for each circumstance: Normal Recurrency Markers: - Below #30: >= 5 weeks or a Top 10 peak if younger - Below #20: >= 7 weeks or a Top 5 peak if younger - Below #15: >= 10 weeks AND a Top 10 peak, or >= 7 weeks with #1 peak - Below #10: >= 10 weeks AND Top 5 peak - Permanent Recurrence (below #5): >= 15 weeks with Top 10 peak >= 10 weeks with #1 peak >= 20 weeks for anything else Album Recurrency Markers (>10 debuts and re-entries from the same artist or album in the Top 30, or 5-7 debuts and re-entries in the top 10) - Below #40: >= 5 weeks or a Top 10 peak if younger - Below #30: >= 7 weeks or a Top 5 peak if younger - Below #20: >= 10 weeks AND a Top 10 peak, or >= 7 weeks with #1 peak - Below #15: >= 10 weeks AND Top 5 peak - Permanent Recurrence (below #5): >= 15 weeks with Top 10 peak >= 10 weeks with #1 peak >= 20 weeks for anything else Nuke Recurrency Markers (>10 debuts and re-entries from the same artist or album in the Top 20, or 8-10 debuts and re-entries in the top 10) - Below #20: anything older than a month or that reached the Top 10 Now that we got that out of the way, lemme introduce a new concept called the Revivals. A Revival is a song that will re-appear on the charts even after being placed on permanent recurrency. This happens whenever I place a song there and then come to regret putting it there too early. Any song in Permanent Recurrency that has NOT hit #1 yet will only be revived if it manages to re-enter at #1. It'll be labelled as follows: 1 Song by Artist (Nth Week Revival) It will then drop out the next week, never to be seen again. It can still accumulate more traction for my year end and even decade charts, but it will not be allowed on the charts ever again. This week (August 12) will be the first example of such revival: 1 Life Goes On by Kim TaeRi, JIDA and 1of1 [Lost in Starlight OST] (11th Week Revival) That's all for now <3

glad to see the ariana songs survive + bonnie tyler's reentry and olivia in the top 10

welp sorry for the reply being 2 weeks late Karma just continued growing on me with every listen since the anniversary. I love Mr Know it All too that Piri album was pretty good ngl i'll check out bella's album some other time but the songs you mentioned are all great not otw out immediately, i imagine it'll be the kind of song that'll stick around in the lower half of the charts TY for your comments <3

really glad you love these songs <3 need to revisit the title track to check if it's one of my favorites. in the meantime, i could see aespa getting the #1 next week te olvido is actually a hennessy recommendation. the ari songs will be stronger if lost in starlight doesnt overwhelm them (especially my favorites off petal).| ty for your comments, i'll try to comment on yours over the weekend <3

interesting... i could check out bodies i think potential is decent and homewrecker is good but my body isnt ready is supreme among his 2026 songs i have mixed feelings on gracie as an artist and a person but this and i love you im sorry are among her best, same with that's so true among the songs you mentions i see the latter four gaining or at least being steady. but the #1 of next week will shock you so much so watch out ty for commenting <3

glad you love those songs! inna, muna, and maybe even gracie and sombr will be stronger next week. gosh i love that doo wop pivot <3 lemonade and morenito are great international songs =D among the other songs u mentioned, mr know it all is aiming for the top 5, the gracie and sombr songs might climb, tous le memes and danza might be stable, and we might even have gimme 3x climb RIP bonnie again tous le memes literally came out of almost nowhere for me, it was viral years ago on youtube but it just suddenly popped in my head. chuck the money, meanwhile, was a song i liked but it suddenly clicked for me, allowing it to jump a whopping 38 spots up to #1 on its second week (this song is on its 8th nonconsecutive week rn). also i havent seen you in any of my chart comments but it's nice to see new faces here =) TY everyone for your comments <3

glad to see the olivia and gracie bombs here, also for morenito and htimylm

Despite the abundance of new/returning entries and the Jolene Lozano impact, the top 20 is surprisingly quiet week, and that's fitting since there's a moment of silence for Bonnie Tyler. Her smash hit makes an absurd jump up the charts, taking Adam Lambert and his phenomenal cover along for the ride. Also, that surprise #1 hit from Deafheaven has now tied ABBA's record for the longest time at #1 on WOW 3.0, with three weeks. They are not the ones at the top, since the #1 is currently anyone's game, but the impact is projected to be so big that I might ease recurrence rules if MUNA and Piri make bombs colliding with it.

yay for the olivia and bonnie songs <3

Sorry I havent been able to comment on your charts last week, will get to your new one soon enough =) anyways, the bonnie tyler songs will be higher and gimme 3x will likely go even higher next week. morenito might enter the top 10 next week hehe ironically enough stupid song is slowly becoming of of my favorites off the album, let along the "girl so in love" disc. it and bonnie will be stronger =) same, honestly this aint even the most deep or nuanced song lyrically but not only is the production phenomenal here, the way it's rising in the canadian charts truly makes me feel happy for it, like it's seriously the Liar by Jelly Roll of 2026: a song I was sad didn't do anything initially then surprised me by being a sleeper hit and getting even better with every listen. <3 my place is a banger, and purple is amazing so it being my least favorite song off the album says more about the album than it does about the song itself intriguing, i'll take note of that. confetti and 99 nights were definitely solid and are better on a lyrical level, but the way we touch i love so much more as her magnum opus production wise iibh sorry for the late replies, expect comments on your charts from me soon enough. take care and ty for the comments <3

Olivia's bomb forced me to take down recurrency rules a few weeks ago. But since there's a whole lot of new songs and varied set of artists this week, I'll instead keep the rules so I can send some old songs into recurrency. At the center of all of this, aside from Olivia still keeping strong and multiple corrections from previous charts being addressed, is a Canadian pop star (publicly praised by Spectrum Pulse on multiple occasions) with her best song yet returning to the top spot after having a World Hit feature on a recent episode of Billboard Breakdown. Indie artist Jolene Lozano gets a minor album bomb despite only 4 out of the dozen songs there wowing me, Olivia Rodrigo and ABBA dominate the charts, the Top 10 is flooded with a few of my birthday playlist songs at once, and several recurrent songs make their returns amidst scattered new releases.

glad you love these <3 party rock anthem will climb higher since this is actually an early debut the teddy songs are for yellow's birthday, although i think most of these wont be the teddy songs that'll chart next week. Thank hennessy for morenito, the world cup for dai dai, my college org for tipsy, lauren bennett for party rock, and the abba fanboy in me for the gimme 3x resurgence (yes, it was a charting hit in my first WOW edition back in 2024 iirc). two of the best songs of a song battling paracosm for my favorite album of 2026 god, thank the heavens, lemonade is such a banger <3 teddy was mostly due to a friend of mine celebrating his birthday TY all for your comments <3
