oh damn that is QUICK to pull Livvy Rod. Beyoncé out already also shocks me. sad to see slayyyter go tho. surprised wink wink is still going strong with Camera now here, and petal debuted yay. Animal up to a list makes me happy cos i’m one of the few that likes it. Indifferent on Jazzy. Boston now on 11 weeks is a shock tho. loving to see Chase & Status, kwn, Laroi x Kehlani and Tove Lo be the b list climbs, Role Model did not need a 6th b list week tho. Sad Girls on the C List! hopefully they don’t do Bebe dirty this time. Love those Lime Garden and Carlita songs. Disappointed there’s no ADÉLA. Would’ve preferred Infinity over Us Against The World.

playlist uploaded early by @jbpr007 on Instagram again. KATSEYE make their first ever Radio 2 appearance if i’m not mistaken. other than that very boring update with a good Sam Smith add too.

SPEED DEMON is seemingly an accidental removal. Sonny Jay just played it an hour ago and it’s back on My Capital.

i love it when all the adds are good also they’re playing the new MNEK one on Buzz iirc.

omg preach it plus isn’t sales weighed a bit more than streaming to begin with. like what is there to change it’s not a flawed system.

sami just stop with the JBB talk until at least october, it’d do us ALL a favour. Anyways i’m kinda shocked they aren’t snubbing Katseye this time around, Sienna was obviously coming but this surprised me.

Ah now albums. My first ever like devoted interest from when i was 5 😭. Me being younger ofc makes this only 11 years ago but thats besides the point. These albums gave me the songs I grew up with. It basically developed my own music interest that I could then expand upon. While I fear it’s getting worse as time goes on, I love to see that it’s not giving up and still releasing 3 times a year. Most things from your childhood eventually end so it’s nice to be able to see one thing still thriving

And it’s finally done! My NOW 02 is now up! Here’s a little fun description brief (everything would be personal here not actual) NOW 02 contains 47 of the biggest hits right now! CD1 starts off with chart-topping hits like ‘Closer’ by Ne-Yo, ‘Radar’ by Britney Spears, ‘Dance Wiv Me’ by Dizzee Rascal, ‘Sex On Fire’. by Kings of Leon and ‘Disturbia’ by Rihanna. Those are followed by a blend of huge hits from Dave Spoon, Jordin Sparks and will.i.am, closely followed by newcomer Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed A Girl’ and more no.1’s by Chris Brown and The Pussycat Dolls. Madcon and Taylor Swift then follow that with their top 10 hits ‘Beggin’ and ‘I Heart?’ respectively. We then go into a small indie blend to discover grittier hits from The Fratellis, The Ting Tings, Miley Cyrus and Biffy Clyro. We then go into another appearance by Rihanna for her single ‘Take A Bow’, which is followed by Mariah Carey, an FP remix of Usher, Duffy, Adele, Taio Cruz and the cast of Mamma Mia! closing off CD1 with ‘Lay All Your Love On Me’. CD2 contains a huge chunk of indie hits, starting off with the chart topping hit ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay, who’s followed by the second appearance of Duffy, The Verve, Noah And The Whale, Stiff Dylans, The Kooks and Florence + The Machine. We then start to sprinkle in some other genres while still focusing on the Indie hits, seeing Reggae represented by ‘July’ from Natty who’s followed by Ida Maria and new pop girl-group The Saturdays with ‘If This Is Love’. The Automatic, Jonas Brothers, another appearance from The Ting Tings, Keane, Little Jackie and another appearance of Coldplay round off the indie chunk of this CD. It ends with a dance portion, containing a Freemasons remix of Solange’s newest hit ‘I Decided’, new dance legends like Eric Prydz and Cascada, Basshunter, the latest floorfillers from Ultrabeat and Pendulum before closing the album off with High Contrast’s remix of ‘Hometown Glory’ by Adele. stream now! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0mloMYjCHpUSiZseL7qg6D?si=p6nfy0GjTiaabDTZ0fyUxA&utm_source=copy-link&pi=banAyD8ZSEO46 (I Heart? isn’t globally available on streaming so i used a cover version, ignore some of the spelling mistakes on the artwork too “The Tings Tings” and “Discolight”

yea probably.

i think adéla also has us citizenship too cos she went to a music school there. Its citizenship or a work visa idk

unrelated to the playlist but 80 hours of dance kicks off at 6pm on Thursday (the only shows unaffected are the chart, 10-11 anthems from James and Nat/Vicky, and 00’s/10’s/20’s). First Look probably won’t happen this week as its not being listed.

Tune of the Weeks: Dean: Katy B x Jax Jones - Last Day of Summer Greg: Chase & Status x J Hus x IRAH - Disgruntled Rickie, Melvin & Charlie: ANOTR x Emily Warren - Silver Lines Matt & Jerry: Good Neighbours - Superstar Going Home: FISHER x Florence Arman - What A Life

and not to mention how this era has been so weirdly branded, i think its meant to just display her insecurities being in the limelight but rock music, ss26 and wink wink didnt convey that at all. It’s just been a messy cycle that could easily be fixed too and thats the annoying part

the way none of the above is comfortably winning for week 30 😭

yea i noticed this too. Opalite’s not been played since friday.

kiss dance is literally the best station out there im convinced. Literal peak playlist there with very few bad songs.

voted every non ai song for week 20 cos that was a STRONG week, none of the above for week 30 tho :/

clock app 😂. Glad they developed taste for once tho

+5 the cure +4 hate that i made you love me +3 stupid song +2 Free Your Mind +1 Rein Me In -1 Choosin Texas -2 Talk To You -3 I Knew It, I Knew You -4 Wonderwall -5 Dai Dai

my first thought is that it comes down to airplay not being a factor mainly, you’d think its truly the only thing that could balance out streams and sales being stagnant, but I still think charts would still be stale in a way. I don’t know if it’s a problem that can be fixed and occ have to accept that.

all the songs i’m familiar with whilst i’d be a fine age of -11 years old, emphasis on the minus
