I believe she already did. I don’t have the exact figures but didn’t she move around 3K copies each in week 2 and week 3? So she should be around 30K. Update: Sales week 1: 23,262 Sales week 2: 4,156 Sales week 3: at least 2,897 (that was #50 and she was #49)

So excited I got tickets to see her in Cologne. Queue was remarkably easy. Only 45 people ahead of me.

Is she actually at 17K? I can’t verify that anywhere else. That would be amazing. I though 20K was out of the question but if she’s already at 17 now….

Was hoping she could crack 20K by the end of that week but that might be a bit steep. Fingers crossed though!

This album is an absolute triumph. It’s amazing to see an artist with a distinct vision who manages to execute it perfectly. Self Saboteur and Lip Service are on repeat for me. Slight kiii at Unconditional being #2 on the Spotify playlist when that’s the one song that does absolutely nothing for me.

I truly don’t get the hype around this song. Very middle of the road for me.

44 is painful since that means physicals probably would have eked her into the top 40.

True but I’d argue that was mostly as a result of her releasing 5 albums before Short n’ Sweet. She created a following that way and was able to successfully tour long before Espresso hit number one.

I might be basic but I’m loving CUNTISSIMO. It’s putting up pretty decent streaming numbers too. Would be great if it manages to do something on the lower parts of the chart.

This is lovely. Very different than Jungle but I guess part of the appeal is showing how versatile they are. Hope this steady flow of new music continues and it helps them in the Spotify algorithms.

I posted this somewhere else too but it pretty much sums up how I feel. Labels simply never learn. Part of the reason the likes of Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX and Raye blew up is because they released full bodies of work, promoted them excessively and gave audiences a chance to connect with them. This incessant need of only wanting to release an album when there’s a number one single only leads to a case of diminishing returns. For instance, had Normani released her album right after Wild Side there would have been at least some demand for the album and it surely would have done better than it did (despite still being an amazing album). However, chasing that number one hit completely sucked all momentum out of the campaign and by the time the album came out, people simply stopped caring.

This spends a third week on the charts and is now at #89. Obviously I wish this would have done much better but at least it’s her first song since AOMD to spend several weeks on the charts. Just wish they’d drop the album already.
