I have always said that Kiss was a rhythmic station, and I'm actually surprised that in America it gets the youngest audience (I'm 19 but for as long as I have been following American radio charts I would definitely seek out the rhythmic stations). Those songs respectively reached #17 (Taylor's highest but Blank Space might take that crown), #8 and #6 on America's rhythmic chart. Katy frequently crosses over and has notched two #1s on the format (albeit in the form of the bouncey, "stomp-stomp-clap" songs of Dark Horse and E.T.) Also, it's very interesting to see Country radio having nearly three times as many stations as Top 40 CHR stations despite having around half the audience (based on the #1 song each week).

I don't tend to watch YouTubers that much anymore but whenever Joe Sugg jokingly sang in his videos he actually had quite a good voice..! I believe Zoe does to, but I agree in that it seems wrong with them being there!

If by "charts" you mean the playlist then it's quite simple and I am feeling productive today so I shall attempt to explain (to save you potentially asking again/quizzing why we have mentioned certain songs). Songs are scheduled for release/impact and Radio 1 will add them accordingly (or not.. poor Avicii). Most songs get added 3 weeks before the week release date (I like to say they get added 4 weeks before to include the week that it's actually released on). Songs sometimes get added late at 2 weeks before release date (or 3 in my case), like Klaxons' 'There is no Other Time'. Incidentally, they pushed the release date back a week to coincide with the 3-week-build-up (4 in my case). On the other hand some songs get added very early ('Love Me Harder', 'Sing', 'My Love') at six or seven weeks (in my terms(!)) before release week. Therefore, the release schedule is used and we predict according to the weeks before its release; hence why I'd love to see Echosmith playlisted today as when that playlist kicks in this coming Monday it shall be 3 weeks (4 for me) before its release. Of course, songs like 'Blame' and 'Shake It Off' were released OA/OS and added straight to the B-List because they like the artist; this even happens for held back singles on rare occasions such as 'Trampoline'. However, it may be a while before Radio 1 jump on board with an semi-underperforming OA/OS single to turn it into a seller (a la Mariah's 'Beautiful'). It all depends on how Radio 1 act upon it though, I certainly didn't expect Ariana to be added 6 weeks before (in my terms)! I hope I haven't wasted my breath here!

Will be interesting to see how this holds up in the coming weeks as Capital have only just started to spin it more and Radio 1 airplay kicked in today. It should move up to the A-List in either 2 or 3 weeks so I hope it does a "Wild Ones" of some sort!

Well, if this is anything to go by, it looks like Jessie J feat. 2 Chainz is actually going to happen. It is however helmed by Max Martin again so we should be in for a good chorus, but I'm a bit sceptical so far! She's releasing it just less than 2 months after Bang Bang however which seems a dud move considering it's just peaked and re-peaked in America and Australia respectively! 1. Yes! They were very guitar/piano-led with their early productions and then moved swiftly to synths. I think there's a third ~production pathway~ from them in the uptempo, more dance-pop-orientated, Party All Night (Sleep All Day), Let Me Love You (UYLTLY), Only Girl, S&M, Radioactive, Happiness etc. Letting Go (Dutty Love) and Got 2 Luv U are my favourites by them though! --- 22. Kid Ink - Body Language (feat. Usher & Tinashe). Tinashe coming for that top 100 entry :cry:, 2 On is one of my favourite songs, if not my favourite, this year and it's such an injustice it didn't take off here.

Stargate?! This sounds more like a Mustard production! Then again, Black Widow didn't sound like Stargate to me at first ("What's My Name?" remains the ~signature~ Stargate sound for me), I'm liking this song anyway!

Going by Lillywood & Robin Schulz, I'm wondering if this will even touch 100k first-week sales :( Great to see Jeremih there, hopefully he'll get some video play if a video ever appears! I wonder if he'll get any substantial airplay as he wasn't added to this week's Radio 1 playlist, it's just hit #1 on the Rhythmic format in America and is closing in on the top 20 of pop radio, hopefully that can translate over here [/wishful thinking]. This is my favourite DJ Mustard-helmed song (alongside 2 On), even if it does sound identical to TeeFLii's '24 Hours' and Jason Derulo's 'Kama Sutra'!
