TBSCITW...E! vol.11 - foreign languages RESULTS
Hey everyone! Honestly, I had no idea what to expect here or what kind of music you’re into, so I decided to send something upbeat that could get you moving but still has that retro vibe. As for YouTube, I picked the version with the only video I could find because it just seemed funny and kind of cute to me. I’m really happy with the results, the winning song was actually the one I gave my 12 points to! I also have to say this whole edition was great, there are quite a few songs I’ll keep listening to that I didn’t even know about before. I’m really glad I joined in!! Congrats to everyone on both your results and your song choices! ❤️ And since I’m new to this forum, if someone could let me know when the next spin-off comes around, because there are a million subforums here and I’m not sure I can manage to catch it on my own when a new one starts. Thanks to everyone who voted for Zdravko Čolić.

Although there are still some well-known ones I’d call safe choices.

I was thinking about this song, but I figured everyone already knows it, so I didn’t pick it, even though it’s one of my favorites. Song

@blacksquare Haha, Alice in Chains stuck with me from high school — I used to write them down in those slam books all the time, so it kind of came out on autopilot. 😄 But since I’m more of a poetic soul (and didn’t want it to sound too dark and creepy), I added Nick Cave to balance it out. 😂 But he’s pretty dark too… I guess I just can’t escape it 🙈

I am thrilled with this forum, no kidding!! It’s truly a treasure trove of music. From what I’ve seen so far, your contests and rules are very thoughtfully organized, and each one seems to have its own purpose, while everything aims for fairness and balance among the songs, which I really like.

I’ve submitted a song for this spin-off competition because and I really enjoy themed contests. 😄 Are the topics open-ended in the regular BJSC?

I’ve mostly been active on the national Eurovision forum, so if there’s no one here from my country, there’s a pretty good chance I don’t know you. 😅

I’ve read the rules in the meantime, so that’s not a problem. Retro non-English songs sound cool to me. I might give it a try. 😇

Hi there, I was looking for a forum with music competitions and ChatGPT suggested yours to me, today. I had a quick look around and noticed that one of your members mentioned that no one had joined since September last year, which I took as a sign to create an account and join in. I’ve got some experience with forum competitions, mostly on Eurovision forums, but I’m looking for something a bit different and more general right now. I’m not a huge Eurovision fan—I just enjoyed sharing songs there. I also noticed that you have a Eurovision subforum, which is definitely cool, but it’s not really my focus. Just so you know, I’m interested in joining for now.
