  1. Don't even get me started. It was such a huge album yet It could have touched much higher heights, having 'Bad Idea' as a spring single and 'Bloodline' as a Summer single would have seen the album multi-Platinum and two of the best selling singles of her career. I'm sure of it.
  2. I went June with a 2nd single with Album in Autumn.
  3. This sounds promising! I haven't majorly enjoyed a release by either them in some time.
  4. Why do I feel like this is going to become a hit and I'm not going to like it very much.
  5. Same. Though that performance of it made it grow on me more, I'm still obsessed with the whole thing ngl. I'd do anything to feel those fake gems scratching my back whilst rolling around serving face to a major bop like this. hxq3B_Fk4uk
  6. Not having any streaming hits hasn't helped this, tacking 'The Motto' onto a deluxe might help it maintain some stability marginally. But it's a shame, it's one of my favourite pop albums for a good while.
  7. The drive from my exs house to my new apartment is exactly the length of this album, hauling endless boxes and furniture down the M25 has never been more tolerable. There isn't one song I dislike, 'One of Us' finally clicked with me and 'Dancing's Done' has become my favourite. Probably now I'd say the weakest (which I still bop and sing along to) is 'Hold Up (Wait A Minute)'. The verses of 'Turn Off The Lights' have become a highlight too.
  8. It was called 'Outgrown' Let's try a different link Xqn-SMqaCIo I still love it.
  9. I just finished (Skipping the songs I already heard at this point), I'm now going back through the singles/promo singles and my God the whole thing is a bop!! There was no song I disliked, 'One Of Us' is for sure the weakest to me. I'd love to 'Ghost', 'Dancing's Done' and the Title Track get the (proper) single treatment, wouldn't be mad with any of the 8/10s and above getting that. My favourites overall are: 11.0 Ghost 10.0 Dancing's Done 10.0 Diamonds & Dancefloors 09.0 Sleepwalker 09.0 Cold As Ice 09.0 In The Dark 08.5 Get Outta My Heart 08.0 Maybe You're The Problem 08.0 Weapons 08.0 Turn Off The Lights 07.5 Million Dollar Baby 07.0 Hold Up ([Just] Wait A Minite) 07.0 Last Night On Earth 06.0 One of Us EDIT: In The Dark has gone from an 8 to a 9 on second listen. The title track is in danger of snatching Ghost's 11 too.
  10. Living the unemployed single bisexual fantasy, alone listening party with Pink Gin at midnight. I'm not mad.
  11. Don't be soz, I about put them on par tbh.
  12. I really like it, but if 'All The Time' and 'Love Me Land' couldn't pick up much deserved traction then I'll be surprised if this can without some Tik Tok trend.
  13. It definitely has that demo sound too it, it's so hooky and catchy it'd be a surefire hit with some beefing.
  14. Just make this the lead and it'll already be the best song she's ever released in my eyes. T4VklZmnOog
  15. Omfg she is the sexiest bop creator alive.

Perhaps another remedy would have been to delay the album until the week after Ego was released, but of course they wanted those Christmas sales. I don't know if 'Karma' would have worked good as a single, it's like a cheesier rehash of 'Ego', I'd rather have had 'Puppet' but mainly for the iconic music video it would have been accompanied by.

True that it might well have done, Flo Rida was a huge name. To me though it seems more common for post-album singles and I don't believe the collab was even considered until Flo Rida beat them to #1 for the second time. Another note, I don't know how Flo Rida's A&R would have felt about putting a feature track against his lead single, but of course release timings could have been amended. Good choices! As much as I hate to leave out 'Missing You', I even feel a reissue of 'Wordshaker' with 'Higher', 'Puppet' and 'Karma' on would have worked a charm.

And considering The Sats and Cheryl were both under the same label at the same time speaks volume, their A&R wanted a good talking to.

I don't think 'Ego' would have managed to beat 'Oopsy Daisy' to #1 since it sold over 82,000 in it's first week, so I'm pretty confident if they stuck to that release week it would have been a #2 hit as 'Forever Is Over' was... however, had it been released the week before, it for sure would have beaten Taio Cruz's 3rd week at #1 with 'Break Your Heart' (wish Cheryl's demo would leak...) which had just under 43,000 sales. Realistically I could have seen Ego go in #1 that week with sales of around 60,000 to 70,000 being knocked to #2 the following week by 'Oopsy' but maintaining a lot more longevity than 'FIO' which garnered just under 39,000 in it's first week then plummeted pretty quickly out of the charts. 'Higher' had already managed sales of over 124,000 by it's release week, as a lead it would have had to have sold exactly half that to take the #1 from 'Club Can't Handle Me' compared to 'Missing You's' 57,000... Completely realistic and doable. However, this would be a world where the 'Flo Rida' collab didn't happen which was a massive factor in it's boost in popularity. So it's an interesting one.

I heard it in River Island yesterday and my friends looked at me and knew... I simply said "Yes, I know this still hits." It sounded so effing good as I was browsing through that sales rack.

I think for most of us, how on earth Up seems to have faded into the background is beyond me. The fact that neither version is within their Spotify top 10 is blasphemous.

I have a feeling they're going to get masses of new certs this year. If you look at the top selling girl-band songs the Official Chart Company compiled in June 2019, Ego was #62 and all songs above it have now been certified Platinum, so I can see it getting there by the end of the year. Interestingly, further down at #87 and #88 is 'Issues' and 'Just Can't Get Enough' who always shared weirdly identical sales, every song above their position has been certified Gold now, with #86 ('Round Round' by Sugababes) finally reaching it last year and #85 ('Jump' by Girls Aloud) the year before. I imagine 'All Fired Up' is catching up quite nicely too. 'If This Is Love' or 'Work' must be on the cusp of Silver too.

'Open Up' was actually one of my early favourites. Okay sorry about the 2am shade, I think it's only one of my lowest streamed by them because Last.fm has it as '2am', '2 am' and '2 A.M.', but at least we can agree on the No One/Flashback switch. Also hating how underrated the whole 'Wordshaker' album was/is in general seeing as it gave us 'Ego', 'One Shot' and 'Wordshaker' (title track). ...'One Shot' not being a single, curses me monthly as well.
  24. This is GORGEOUS cut from the album that leaked yesterday. Wish it was included on the Deluxe, it's about her lost friendship with Lexie. _fhLEVmYxT4
  25. That's why I didn't answer, I was hoping one of you would know lol, wouldn't be surprised if the demo said 'F*ck' instead of 'Love', as is with half of Little Mix's discography
