Ariana YouTube stats
It was only a matter of time before '7 rings' got up there and it truly is her classic at this point so I see it surpassing 'Problem' easily in the future. Ironic that the week I watched the Break Free video for the first time in ages is the week it slips a spot.

Best & Worst: 2nd Single
1. Touch 2. Love Me Like You 3. DNA 4. Holiday 5. No 6. Think About Us 7. Little Me Can't believe how much 'Holiday' has grown on me. 'Think About Us' was more of a fourth single choice.

Jade reportedly dropping surname for solo debut!
I have most of Jade Ewen's unreleased pop R&B masterpiece 'Punching Out'. B-)

Jade reportedly dropping surname for solo debut!
She should have gone for 'Jeed'.

Best & Worst: 4th Single
Power is easily the best and was the most obvious choice, I'd go 1. Power 2. How Ya Doin'? (Underrated! They got MISSY ELLIOT on it.) 3. Confetti (Also demoted a position because I wanted 'Happiness') 4. Hair Hair... not a favourite of mine, I like to see them performing it, but as a song it never resonated with me and I felt there were other options I would have enjoyed more on Get Weird.

1: ffxKSjUwKdU no tears left to cry (450 points) Pulling ahead by 15 points, winning the Gold, is sweetener's universally acclaimed lead single 'no tears left to cry'. This infectious dance-pop record was the first song Ariana wrote with Max Martin and Ilya after the Manchester attack, it went on to be released to launch the sweetener era, as Ariana wanted to release a "hopeful" record, following the events. I think it's safe to say she achieved not only that but also an iconic song for the decades. Frustratingly, Drake stopped it from getting to #1 in the US, occupying the two top spots, where 'no tears' came in and peaked at #3. Whilst in the UK it achieved #2, being beaten by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's mega-smash 'One Kiss'. It has managed 3x Platinum and 2x Platinum in the respective countries. It did manage to hit the top spot in no less than 12 countries around the world. It also won 'Best Pop Song' at the 2018 MTV VMAs. Ariana released what was arguably her best music video to date. Ariana is presented with Platinum blonde hair, in a city where you can't tell which way is up or down. This is said to "symbolize the complexities of life and disillusionment of the world". Ariana can be seen walking on the walls and ceiling of a hallway before falling into a wall of fairy lights. There is also an eye-catching choreographed scene where Ariana and dancers dressed in suits, dance with Umbrellas. In another scene we got a preview of some track titles (including 'God is a woman') from the then upcoming album, whilst Ariana sits with her own face in her hands, with other versions of her face surrounding her. In the last scene, Ariana plays fetch with Toulouse before the video concludes with a bee flying off screen to symbolize Manchester. I had strong suspicions this would take the top spot. All participates voted for it. Kath, Cremey and Brer all gave it full marks. It was ...ready for it and Jade's runner-up. Nick, Highausakite, Lunar, London and myself each put it in our top 5. Completing the final total; Liam gave it a respectable +27, Lewis +25, Riser +15. Thanks again to everyone who participated and joined in the discussion these past weeks. Drag Race // Season 14 // Episode 13
To be fair I wouldn't have minded that, but only if she had been (rightfully) safe during the LaLaPaRUza, because at that point another Queen staying would have been far too much.
-
Season 14 // Queens' Ranking
The only other person I'd be happy with right now is Camden.

Drag Race // Season 14 // Episode 13
I forgot to mention about the Bosco win... a good indication of how much I cared obviously. But I too agree with the overrated comments, I was ready for Bosco to leave last week and feel I would have been happier had the chocolate bar been used on Maddy or even Kerri to a certain extent.

Drag Race // Season 14 // Episode 13
I'm glad I wasn't right about Camden being in the bottom... definitely rooting for her the most now. I have no qualms about this episode. I will say Jorgeous did better than I was expected to, so kudos to her. Deja really dropped the ball on that one, not being the comedy queen then being eliminated in the comedy challenge. As soon as the lip sync song started I knew it would be a Daya win and well, I guess she won but I was underwhelmed. I'm pleased we are down another two queens and they are the two I most wanted to go this week, sounds harsh but let's keep this ship sailing!!

Omg yes the crash! 'Into You' underperforming on the charts... what was that about?! But it made up for it with sales. What an f'ing great song. Definitely deserved a place in the top 3. EDIT: Also, the Mac Miller remix is news to me too Lewis!

Drag Race // Season 14 // Episode 13
Very that! I have the same concern, I'm rooting for Camden hard at the moment but I have an awful image of her and Jorgeous in the bottom and I'm feeling like Camden might be the only person to slay Jorgeous, especially if they get a rockier lip sync song. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Camila Cabello - Familia
Oh wow I wasn't expecting that! And an Anitta cover... even more intriguing. :P

Best & Worst: 3rd Single
My top 2 are TIGHT and they could change at any moment tbh, but I always tend to stand by NMSS, especially because I was so thrilled it was a post-album single which I never thought would bless the ears of radio listeners. 1. No More Sad Songs 2. Sweet Melody 3. Salute 4. Secret Love Song 5. Change Your Life

Drag Race // Season 14 // Episode 13
I was thinking this straight away, so she's either going to tie was Kameron as the most successful lip sync assassin of all time, or they're going to do a slow old timey lip sync song that she doesn't vibe with to get her out.

4: kHLHSlExFis God is a woman (393 points) Just shy of 400 points is Grammy winning album sweetener's stunning second single 'God is a woman', which was released to critical acclaim a month before the album. Many of Ariana's family, most notably her Nonna and Mother stated that it was their favourite song from the record. I truly believed on hearing the (Ilya produced, Max Martin penned) track, that it would become an easy #1 single for her around the globe due to it's Hip Hop vibe, message, anticipation for the new album and fans drive after 'no tears' missed the top spot. Similarly to 'breathin' it did manage the feat in Iceland and Israel. However it peaked higher in most other regions, notably managing top 5 in the UK coming it at #4 and top 10 in the US, getting to #8 but I really REALLY thought it would go top 3 in the USA. It has collected a Platinum certification in the UK and a Double Plat in the US after shifting over 2 million units. Promotion for the track included my favourite ever TV performance from Ariana at the 2018 MTV VMAs, where Ariana was joined on stage by over 50 female dancers, reenacting the last supper. The music video was directed by Dave Meyers who also produced the 'no tears' music video. It proved highly controversial and imagery heavy. Some scenes of note include; biblical homage of the creation of Adam and Eve, as well as Roman and Greek mythology including Romulus and Remus, Ariana bathing in a pool of coloured paint in the shape of a vagina, a monologue from Madonna and a screaming beaver. This is of course major stan Jade's +40, but it did manage to score pretty massive points from nearly all voters. ready for it..., kath, Cremey and Brer all put in in their top 5. Myself, Nick, Lewis, Riser, Highausakite, Liam and London all gave it big points too. Lunar scored it a measly 2 points, however it does mean that every single voter gave it points.

Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, it would have been another smash single if it was single 2, probably certified Gold and radios would have eaten it up.

David Guetta – Crazy What Love Can Do
I have no doubt they are running in the same circles with their dance collabs, plus they both came from reality TV shows, they probably have a lot in common.

7: kN0iD0pI3o0 breathin (334 points) The third and final single from 'sweetener' was 'breathin' is our next out, with a rather large jump in points from 8th. It proved to be a fan favourite straight out of the gate. The song charted at it's peak position in most territories post album release in August 2018, a month before it's official release as a single in September. This was also partly due to the fact it's music video was heavily delayed and end up being released AFTER the following single (suprise hit 'thank u, next') was released in November. For this reason it was very much overshadowed and didn't really get it's full time to shine. Despite this, it did manage to chart at #1 in Iceland and Israel, as well as top 10 in the UK, just missing out in the US peaking at #12. We were also treated to a promotional TV performance on 'Ellen', which became one of my favourite live Ariana TV performances of all time, simply down to the raw emotion she conveyed. Quite unusually 'breathin' was produced solely by Ariana's long-term collaborator ILYA with no credit being given to his usual partner in production Max Martin. In the beautiful music video Ariana looks gorgeous whisping her way through clouds on a swing and in a train station, where the departure signs tease song titles from the then soon to be released 'thank u, next' album including 'Needy', 'Imagine' and scrapped song 'Remember' (supposedly stylized as "reMeMber" in honor of Mac Miller). There was also a second video featuring Piggy Smallz. Now the facts are out of the way 'breathin' is within my top 5 most streamed songs by Ariana, it's message is so essential to life and it just keeps me going, so I find myself going back to it whenever I need, it's like musical diazepam for me and I hope for many others. The theme of the song clearly revolves around Ariana's experience with anxiety and mental health issues following the Manchester attack and although I hope a huge majority of you won't ever go through something anything near as traumatic, it's helped so many people just as much for all kinds of reasons. I'm struggling to explain myself, but you get the gist. LOVE seeing this strongly in our top 10. Fellow mod Lewis gave it his top marks. Nick, kath and Riser put it in their Top 5. It got a Top 10 ranking from myself (in fact bang on #7). Other good scores came from ...ready for it, Jade, Cremey, Highausakite, Lunar, Brer and Liam.

What an iconic duo  Such career highlights, I lived for her live performance of 'Be Alright' as there was a part of me that wanted it to be released as a Charity Double A-Side (with One Last Time) after Manchester because of it's message. I too am baffled about her 'Touch It' shade, it just so exhilarating and gorgeous, I imagine she was singing it carelessly, belting in the eye of a tornado. There's some imagery for you.
