  1. I support Israel in their mission to wipe out Hamas terrorists in Gaza, I am against war crimes and anyone committing those should be tried under international law but I support the aims of what Israel went into Gaza to do, the elimination of Hamas terrorists once and for all I condemn strongly any attacks on women, children, innocent Palestinians Hamas also have a history of using human shields, they are notorious for it, so equally they must share some of the blame by putting civilians in harms way
  2. What was Israel meant to do? terrorists came in on gliders and massacred 1200 of its citizens at a music festival, carried out countless rapes and took multiple hostages. Are Israel expected to just turn the other cheek and carry on as business as usual? no country would do that. Some of the acts Israel has committed in Gaza are clearly unacceptable and in violation of international law but Israel couldn’t sit there and do nothing and let Hamas get away with what they did Hamas have been a thorn in Israel’s side for decades, the can can’t keep getting kicked down the road and the problem dealt with again years later, Hamas needed removing once and for all. Have Israel been disproportionate at times in their mission to eliminate all Hamas terrorists? absolutely, was it right to go into Gaza and eliminate Hamas terrorists once and for all? 100% yes
  3. Boycotts are completely wrong, and unfair. If someone is against Israel participation don’t watch, or vote. Whoever would be singing for Israel has nothing to do with the Gaza conflict, they have not taken part in it. I find Russia’s invasion of Ukraine abhorrent, but am totally against any ban on Russia taking part in any music, or sports tournaments, the decisions of politicians are nothing to do with the singers or sports people. Israel should take part in this and Russia should be allowed to take part in world cup, olympics and so on.
  4. There has been conflicts and skirmishes between Israel and the Palestinians for decades yes, but nothing on this scale, this was a whole new level compared with anything seen previously, it will not have happened but for an orgy of killing and raping at that music festival
  5. I am not being anti female in the slightest, I watched the all Lionesses games in the world cup and Euros and took great pleasure at their achievements, but women’s football is so small compared with the mens game that I don’t feel it is a big enough sport for such awards as SPOTY. Harry Kane getting the golden boot in a world cup didn’t earn him SPOTY or even close and this was someone dominating the biggest and most popular sport in the world
  6. Torn here ngl, would I want my daughter or nieces within a mile of Donald Trump? absolutely not, is he a good president? debateable but an end to the Israel/Hamas conflict, among others would no way have happened without him, and other conflicts too, plus he has put his citizens first ahead of illegals, much as he is a 🔔 end as a person he would get my vote
  7. Long term F1 fan, watched every race of Senna, Schumacher and others, Max Verstappen eclipses them imho talent wise, the best car beat the best driver in 2025, congrats to Norris but he was right place right time as opposed to having any special drives.
  8. Should have been Luke Littler, world champion and won multiple titles in 2025 Norris is reliant on his hundreds of engineers to produce a winning car for him to drive, McIlroy went 10 years between major 3 and major 4, the Lionesses would get thrashed by a male non league team by a cricket score. Luke Littler has transformed a sport single handedly, tickets for the darts world championship were 4x over subscribed, easier to get a Glastonbury ticket than a ticket to the darts world championship.
  9. Pleased for the Villa win, idc who wins the title long as it not Arsenal
  10. We came alive when the pressure was off, bottled it in 3 tests and when nothing to play for we finally came alive. Pleased for the win but how about doing it when it really counts as opposed to in the 2 exhibition matches.
  11. If Hamas had not committed a massacre at a music festival and an orgy of rape there would have been no Gaza conflict last couple of years end of, the Israeli response could be considered disproportionate regarding some aspects of the response but Hamas started it, poke a lion enough times you can’t expect the lion not to attack you, play stupid games win stupid prizes as the saying goes. That does not mean I approve of blocking aid to starving Palestinian kids etc, course I don’t, some of the Israeli responses have been unacceptable, but Hamas have also milked the conflict for their own purposes. They turned down multiple ceasefire offers because Israel demanded the release of every hostage, it was only when President Trump threatened to send USA forces into Gaza alongside the IDF that Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and hostage release.
  12. I condemn strongly any criminal acts by either party yes. Hamas attacked a music festival full of young people having the time of their lives, as well as murders in 4 figures there was mass rapes of thousands of Israeli females, the sight of the body of a naked teenage Israeli girl being slowly driven through the streets of Gaza on the back of a truck while citizens of Gaza spat on her body was perhaps the most sickening thing I have ever seen. The reaction of the IDF has in hindsight been disproportionate and any war crimes of the IDF should be condemned in the strongest of terms and dealt with under international law. But none of this would be happening if Hamas hadn’t done what they did that day
  13. Is it completely though? Australia is similar to UK in many ways, a civilised largely peaceful country where guns are not widely available, what is to say something won’t happen here one day at a Jewish celebration? if it happens it may not be directly the fault of Bob Vylan but he is part of the problem, the dehumanisation of jews. Even if his words were not aimed at all jews it is still extremely unhelpful
  14. We saw the other day with the terrible events on Bondi Beach what happens when anti jew rhetoric is allowed to take hold, the attackers were Pakistani, had no skin in the game re the conflict between the IDF and Hamas, they just saw a bunch of jewish people and thought they were fair game because of what has happened in Gaza
  15. The fact that nothing happened to any Jewish people because of what he said should not be a defence imho, same as the fact no one burned down a hotel because of what Lucy Connolly said should be. Both fanned the flames of hate in an unhelpful way. Am not suggesting he get 2.5 years in jail but I find it astonishing that he got off scot free
