Side Effects probably wasn't a great lead... but then it did get a big follow-up with Disconnect.

 

Never Be Alone was ok.

 

Outside of love I think was a bit of a mis-step for a single to go into the album with. Had Right Here, or Multiply been pushed at that point I think they may have done better. Right Here got a slight push, but had it had the focus of a main single then I guess the song may have one top 40.

 

Overall though its a odd one as Disconnect did give her a top 10 hit, its just the rest didn't seem to do anything in a big way. I've have dumped Side Effects as being the lead and changed Outside of Love.

 

I agree that had they released Right Here instead of Outside of Love and given it a proper push (with an actual music video, etc.) that it probably would've gone Top 40 and eventually been certified. The fact that it outpeaked OOL on the dance charts is actually quite a feat. Outside of Love feels like the biggest misstep from this era to me as well.

I guess I'm curious to know what everyone thinks was a "shocking" or bad single choice?

Finally just gave this a listen and yeah, I see this doing very well for her and having longevity. It's the right sound when considering what's "in" right now and I'll be surprised if she doesn't have success in some other markets with this as well.

Never Be Alone has been certified silver.

Multiply feels like the obvious choice whereas something like Swim would be great as it's slightly different

While not my favorites, agree that these would be the safest as they have the most universal appeal. Multiply has been pulling decent Spotify numbers since release while Swim is the only album track that's actually increased in Spotify streams since album release week.

May change over time, but here's my ranking. It's really only the last three that haven't connected - can't remember the last time I liked over 10 songs on an album tbh.

So happy for her, and well deserved. I wonder what direction they'll go from here - I really hope she can get another big hit off this album.

Right Here has climbed to #60 in the chart today.

And has officially outpeaked OOL on the dance charts at #17 this week.

 

 

I agree, but Right Here is still rising? It's now #36 on airplay and seems likely to outpeak OOL next week as it should get a boost from the album release. It's done very well for not being an official single so seems silly for them not to push it.

She is absolutely bringing it this era. She deserves more recognition.

Right Here up to a new peak of #65 this week and has entered the Top 20 on dance charts.

Just saw that they ended up choosing Right Here over Outside of Love for Radio 1's Big Weekend playlist.

'Right Here' has been added to the KISS playlist!

Seems as though they will (and should) push Right Here as the next single. It reached #33 on Apple Music yesterday while OOL is down to #89.

She's back! This is so good.

I prefer Right Here to OOL as well. #67 in midweeks despite being billed as a promo single.

Still no Spotify support

This feels like it's bombed

Seems as though it's all due to lack of Spotify support? Been hovering around the Top 10 on radio, Apple Music, iTunes, etc. for well over a month but has barely broken the Top 200 on Spotify. Has been high up on Shazam as well so it's clearly connecting with people. Really unfortunate.

 

Up to #17 in this week's midweeks so should hopefully achieve a new peak, but not sure how much further it will get.

This is a lot more comparable to Let Them Know than Ring Ring. LTK clicked a lot faster with me but I think this will be a grower.

Re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 at a new peak of #90.

So glad this has at least made the Top 50.

 

It's doing well on US airplay as well and is officially her highest peaking single on Pop radio since NRO.

Up has reached 429,000 in sales and was streamed 1.3 million times in 2021.

I like the video but something about it falls flat for me? Maybe it's because it's reminding me of the React video, especially the end, and of course she can't give that.
