  1. But who's still active as a musician and could have that kind of pull? There's not many names left that could do it - the days of pop superstars having success for elongated periods are dead - if anything becomes a smash hit it's going to be through Tik Tok or film or TV and probably someone new sadly.
  2. Canada please

Looks close between Raye and Dave - could be either at No 1 by Friday.

Great Divide at #5 - some fall Streets of Minneapolis at #24 - good chance of staying Top 75 if not Top 40 Run My Way at #49 - risks not even making the Top 100 if it falls much more All Don Toliver's three hits outside the Top 40 - poor showing for him

I've had this on for the past hour or so after coming across this thread. I think they've played 1 song I had heard before - so a good way to discover some new old music. Although I do think it would benefit from an algorithm that makes sure the songs are remotely similar as there's been a few weird change of tones - mainly going from 90s songs to 60s songs where the difference in sound is very noticeable.
  6. Hopefully we get surprise music from a major artist and that finally gets some new stuff to the top of the charts. New music from Olivia Rodrigo seems the most likely to be that difference at the minute.

We'll have to disagree, it just sounds like generic pop from two decades ago.

    Christ, this sounds very dated.

Do we think Streets of Minneapolis will stay Top 100?

There's far too many members in this band - should have stuck to a maximum of 4. The song is mediocre as well.

As another poster has pointed out Tame Impala isn't a group, for so called music professionals picking him for that's a bad look. Don't get me started on the mainstream blinkers of the alternative and rock act nominees as well; ridiculous.
  12. Both Aperture for Harry Styles and The Great Divide for Noah Kahan falling significantly from where they started then. Looks like Raindance will sneak another week at No 1.
  13. Kevin Abstract is on tonight's Chill Zone so probably added in light of that.

    Very respectable.

    What did you score?

Is that Simon Cowell Netflix show worth watching or is it just a rehash of The X Factor?
  17. househead posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Can't see Noah holding onto that No 1 spot. Wonder if Opening Night by Arctic Monkeys has managed to stay Top 40 on it's 2nd week.

For a Dave track (massive caveat) this is quite good.

This is ancient, why's it back in the chart?
  20. All of these are awful.
  21. househead posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
They need to create an oldie chart and restrict any songs that have been out more than 18 months or 2 years to the oldies chart - freeing up the main chart for new music.
  22. They really don't. Songs spending months in the Top 10 is not fluid.

New? It came out in October - just another example of the chart not being very fluid these days.

They think she's the new Adele like they did with Skye Newman - both mediocre at best.

Amazing to see the new Springsteen track in the Top 20 - hopefully it holds Top 40 by Friday.
