  1. From snippet reckon this could threaten for #1 on the singles chart especially given there's very little else being released at the minute.

Was there a much higher turnover of charts in the 1990s compared to the earlier decades? I'm only asking because this station sees to play a lot - and I mean a lot - of 90s songs despite being on random rotation? At times every song is a 90s hit with a sprinkling of earlier hits peppered in - it goes slightly against it being a retro station with that penetration of 90s songs.
  3. Norovirus outbreak affecting the Finnish squad leads to the much anticipated women's ice hockey match between Canada and Finland being postponed. BBC Sport2026 Winter Olympics: Opening ice hockey match postponed...A women's ice hockey match at the 2026 Winter Olympics was postponed on the morning of the fixture after one of the teams suffered an outbreak of norovirus.
  4. It really isn't. The lyrics are absolutely dreadful nonsense and the music just sounds like any other Noah Kahan song - I'll give you that both of those is standard for a Noah Kahan song but this one is particularly bad.
  5. The Great Divide holds at #10 despite being truly awful.

Yeah it's an odd one, if anyone can point to anything he's actually written between the last Brit awards and this one please do but otherwise jus seems like an insult to songwriters who are still active to give it to him.

Ah yeah I suppose - he's claiming Radio 1 is the most listened to isn't he? For some reason I had it as he was claiming Radio 2 wasn't. A bit odd that different sources are reported different "winners" on what should be a numeric leader board though.

The commercial outlets are reporting Heart has the lead over Radio 2 as the single most listened to station by 12.71m to 12.7m. I guess those 0.1m listeners are really important... 9. Unlistenable rubbish, which is a shame as I usually quite like there stuff. Being heavy for heavy sake is no good if the output is turgid.

You say things as they aren't in this particular case and seem to be denying the facts. Congratulations on derailing the thread which seems to be your only intention.

    Don't we all?

Whatever your personal experience the fact that a audience of 12.7m is bigger than an audience of 7.41m by some margin remains true. Radio 4 has a higher audience than Radio 1 as well which might just blow your mind.
  13. Women's Downhill training run has been cancelled due to heavy snowfalls. The men's Downhill training run at a different location will go ahead.

No it's not - Radio 2 is and has been for a very long time. Unsurprisingly giving it focuses on a much less narrow age range.
  15. That would be a pretty quick return by their standards if there's an album out this year but I'm here for it :)

She won't be there on Friday.

If it was on one of the main channels it might have a chance but buried on Sky it's bound to flop.

Shakira in the charts? Is it 2006 or 2026?

Ah okay!! Just checked against the OCC list and you're right, very bizarre.

Hold fire - it appears to be exactly the same as Mondays so don't think it's been updated yet.

  22. I don't think it's that concerning - they're obviously going to use the training to feel the route rather than go full tilt like they will on Saturday for the runs that count - them easing off is pretty natural in the early training runs. Most of them finished their runs this morning (I didn't watch all 45 runs as I got bored after about 25) - of what I saw there was only one non-finisher but obviously the times were relatively slow compared to what they will be in active competition. At least for Lindsey Vonn she's at the stage in her career where she can put it all in at this one and not be to worried about future non-Olympic competition - the commentary team (who were very good it has to be said) mentioned a number of Men's Skiers who are sitting the Olympics out in the interest of prolonging their careers while recovering from injury.
  23. I reckon it's about time she released a dance album.

Pretty much every solo act travels with backing musicians for live performances - by your logic we might as well nominate acts like RAYE for best group and do away with the solo categories completely.
  25. That Milky song is an abomination and crime against music.
