  1. Maybe it's a deal only offered to certain customers?
  2. That must be the least Manics-like song title imaginable!
  3. That's just what the world needs, more cover versions of 'Wicked Game'.
  4. 'Light It Up' obviously got released as a single because it sounded like 'Lean On'. You can't blame them after the single in between flopped.

So that award is even more pointless than I thought? Good to know. So, he'll get some small boost from being mentioned in the ceremony, but less than some of his big rivals at the top.

Isn't Jack Garrett himself supposed to be performing at the Brits though?
  7. So basically a Calvin Harris Greatest Hits would be 18 Months?
  8. I didn't realise The Biz existed at all, I thought it was just a name for Benny Benassi.
  9. A lot of dance acts from Italy. Similarly, I presume Frank Farian is responsible for a lot of the German presence.
  10. Yeah, it was specifically announced as a UK/Europe release date.
  11. And even you've forgotten that Chipmunk was only a featured artist on that track. The Number 70 peak for the original isn't so surprising in the context of it never being a single and only charting on cherry-picks.
  12. Not quite sure how I ended up on Vanessa Carlton's e-mail list, but since I did I might as well tell you she's releasing an album called Liberman on the 29th of April [uK/Europe date]
  13. From Complete UK Singles by Graham Betts: "Scandinavian vocal group formed by Jessica (born 6/2/1981, Finland), Hege (born 22/2/1981, Norway), Helena (born 5/8/1982, Sweden) and Lene (born 29/5/1980, Norway)." No idea what his source was though.
  14. HMV was owned by a record company for years. They didn't refuse to sell other labels' records though, that wouldn't have made snse.

But they don't capitalise ADELE or ABBA everytime. If he wants to shout the song title when he uploads it to YouTube that's his business but I don't write his name in all caps either and wouldn't consider anyone who did so to be committing an error, merely to be applying their own house style. The OCC press release presumably had all the the titles in capitals, because that's their style. Fortunately I've never made a mistake ever.
  16. Wouldn't that be them manipulating the charts against themselves though? How is that a problem. I'm sure a lot of artists own shares in Apple as well, although not the same sort of percentage.
  17. The artwork of the Sigur Ros single doesn't list any title, so I would imagine it was registered with the OCC as '()' too. My copy of the Bellatrix single (and the album) list the title 'Jediwannabe' as one word, though I think it may have been listed as two words even on the chart at the time.
  18. Fair enough if you like that Lukas Graham song, but I don't get why people think it sounds singer-songwriter. It sounds more like late-90s Europop to me.
  19. Like Marilyn Manson. Or Alice Cooper. Or PJ Harvey.
  20. Makes me feel old to see those initials not referring to a Happy Mondays song.
  21. If that's not intentional it'll be one of my favourite typos of 2016.
  22. Also 25/11/1995 Dance Floral Terry In The Jungle 76 {76}-78->2 20/12/2008 BandAged Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth 3 {3}-13-73->3 However, I don't think any of that is on iTunes or Spotify.
  23. As if Sigala would release a single within months of promoting it!
  24. My brother used to play 'Lollipop (Candyman)' a lot. I thought it was one of their worst ever songs.
  25. Strictly speaking the title track did eventually come out as a single, but over ten years later and it didn't get to Number One. Or the Top 40 at all in fact. These are the ones I think where the single wasn't on the album: 26/01/1961 4 Elvis Presley G.I. Blues // Are You Lonesome Tonight? 01/06/1961 4 Elvis Presley G.I.
