  1. https://open.spotify.com/user/nowthats/play...fWYsP0yC5ec8DLE UPDATE: Now reaches to the end of 1999 though there are a few gaps: KLF obviously, Pop Will Eat Itself, Espiritu, theaudience [though they play for me because I have the album] and probably a couple of others I forgot. Some may not be exactly the right versions.
  2. Weird to see people talking about 'Can't Feel My Face' being a hit in the future when it feels like it's been around for a month already.
  3. You might have seen this already but: Richard Hawley Hollow Meadows [album] 11 September. 'Which Way' released as an instant grat on the 6th July. Sourced from his website & social media.
  4. Poor forgotten Bell Biv Devoe. Mind you, their song was rubbish. If there's a Bars & Melody instant grat does that mean they're actually going to release an album?
  5. Two famous denim-wearing acts in a row!
  6. The Hit Parade posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Every time I see this I have to keep reminding myself you don't mean 'When Will I Be Famous?' or 'Drop The Boy' because I'm old.
  7. Fixed it for you.
  8. So does anyone actually like the Britney song? There seems to be a lot of "I don't think it's much cop but I want it to go Top 10 because it's her" type messages.
  9. Wonder what the Rixton CD was doing in my local Morrisons on Monday then?
  10. I don't want to feel The Weeknd's face, thanks.
  11. Radio 2 playlisted a Muse song from the new album a couple of months ago, but because they seem to have thrown out so many tracks from this album (and because they all have short, stereotypically Muse-like titles) I can't even remember which one it was now.
  12. They do but their present policy is not to publicly declare a song to be a "million-seller" until it's literally sold a million copies.
  13. Oh it was both of them then. I should have trusted my memory.
  14. I was going to say that Capital had a vested interest in Lawson, but actually I was getting them mixed up with the Wanted, wasn't I? I think the other problem with that particular comparison is that there are other possible reasons for Conor and Tulisa to have career difficulties. Conor faced the usual problem for teen-oriented acts in that the audience moves on so far, and it's at least possible that some of the people who bought Tulisa's music have been put off by her image problem. I'm not saying they're right or wrong, just that it happened.
  15. Even if he only sells 100k though, he'll end up with a higher total because of streaming, which won't be the case for Taylor obv. I don't think 50 Cent's lyrics are really suitable for primary school children, you know.
  16. I never heard the Beatles version of 'Tease Me'. Was it any good? I presume Pato Banton isn't on this list because he's from Birmingham.
  17. I don't think it matters, they still have to do it under their public service remit.
  18. Now 48 is also in Amazon's Movers & Shakers chart with a 5960% sales increase for the same reason.
  19. Yeah, but it was played on Radio 2 this time - and on the breakfast show too which gets mega listeners.
  20. Two Wedding Present spin-off acts releasing tomorrow! Which reminds me - who is Jess Matic and why are they releasing a single every few weeks?
  21. Right, so how many times do I have to say "Geronimo" before this Sheppard song goes away and never comes back?
  22. What's he got to do with it? Isn't he still in prison? :teresa:
  23. Wait, Rixton are still around?
  24. Ah yes, I see now. Still not sure why she hasn't put up at least a clip on YouTube though.

Yeah, the first Cranberries album was released in 1993 but didn't take off in the UK until early 1994. Still, I think they had a bit too much success in other years to really count. I'm not having Wayne Wonder either. He was a one-hit, er, Wonder who had a second charting single nobody remembers.
