  1. Is there some sort of social media campaign about this?????
  2. Joanna Law appeared on TotP for The Gift by Way Out West, so presumably if there's a video she'd have done that as well.
  3. Unless they released a belch at the same time, presumably.
  4. Wait, you mean this isn't The Killers? pkXKMOuDADM :w00t: (you've got to admit it does sound a lot like them)
  5. Paul Weller had 19 solo Top 20 hits (20 if you count both versions of Out Of The Sinking) without a Number One, though of course the Jam had 4 of them.
  6. Ringo Starr is of course the only Beatle without a solo chart-topper in the UK, although obviously he's not that big a singles act on his own.

The Paul McCartney track is a live version of it (the Beatles didn't release it as a single). by the way, I bought an Altered Images 12" earlier this week... but it wasn't Happy Birthday, which I find a bit annoying TBH.

Peaked at 65 the first two times it was released, but it was later remixed and got all the way to... 64!

Never thought I'd see Stephen Hough as the highest new entry!
  10. What happened to Gay Gordon And His Mince Pies? RIP
  11. Make sure there aren't any kids around when you do eh? :music:
  12. I'm so old I can remember when advent calendars didn't have chocolate in them...
  13. When I was young enough to have one, advent calendars only had 24 doors in them. I regard having a door for the 25th a modern innovation.

Releasing an album of Fireworks music on the 8th of November is an interesting decision.
  15. Dave Clark Five had two hits called 'Everybody Knows'. I regard the two Jennifer Lopez hits called 'Ain't It Funny' as different sons as well, though officially it was just a remix.
  16. Edward Heath the Prime Minister did have a recording career too, though no hit singles: https://www.discogs.com/artist/81775-Edward-Heath

When I was the age most people on this site are, I would never have imagined that I would one day see somebody refer to ELO as "indie/alt".
  18. Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott - Manchester Calling [album] 6th March 2020 ...Somebody already tweeted at Abbott to ask why they're not playing Manchester on the tour though.
  19. Although pedantically, the album originally came out in 1998 so it'll be the 20th anniversary of when most people bought it.
  20. I presume there's a good reason why a 25-year old Boz Scaggs track is charting? He still seems to be alive.
  21. I actually was in the Uxbridge branch yesterday, which is technically in London. They've definitely boosted the vinyl (and made it more browsable) since the reopening.
  22. He's come a long way since he was in Steps... :teresa:
  23. One of my co-workers and her husband went all the way to Amsterdam to see them.
  24. I kind of assumed they were, TBH.
  25. Do Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway count? And if you count groups, UB40 & Chrissie Hynde.
