  1. I presume it's the non-Ali Campbell version of UB40 then.

As I have it to hand, here's a Spotify playlist of the Top 100 (or as much as possible anyway). My favourite NE is Long Time Coming by Delays. I still have my signed 7" of it.
  3. It's a public domain release though so it doesn't sound as good as the official Universal release.
  4. There is a minimum dealer price for downloads though. And of course the minimum dealer prices for physical singles didn't really stop people circumventing them.
  5. Most people don't have over a thousand children though... Every time I look in this thread I see somebody mentioning another one that I think should be in my list.
  6. Bebe Winans and Barack Obama - together at last!

Apparently there was some sort of access to concert tickets if you pre-ordered the Take That album. Not sure if that means Buble didn't do the same thing, or he just isn't as big a touring act.

Presumably Olly Murs has tacked the Greatest Hits onto his new album to try and counter the decline in interest between his previous two albums. I'm not sure if that really works these days though, at least for current acts.
  9. Has Jessie J finally given up on that non-Christmas album she was supposed to release then?
  10. Doesn't that usually mean he won't win?
  11. The new Now Halloween has three songs called 'Poison' on it! I suspect somebody did a bit of a keyword search to compile it.

  13. In the sense that I think you mean (re-releases within a couple of years adding substantial bonus material that might justify repurchasing) not quite: X, Spirit, Crazy Love, Talk On Corners, Beautiful World and Christmas all had them too. Some made more difference than others though. Obviously a lot of the older albums on the list were re-released long after the even as classic albums (The Joshua Tree has had both 20th and 30th anniversary editions).
  14. That's a bit of a late physical release for Angelique Kidjo, it's been out digitally since June.
  15. Is it really a live recording or just a studio track with crowd noise dubbed on to fit the scene? It sounded quite "produced" to me.

Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hope you're on the mend now.
  18. Again, note what they've actually said - "No-one can pay to be on our playlists" all the labels can sponsor their own playlists and pay to advertise them.
  19. Yeah, if Drake said "promote my album all over Spotify or I'll make it an Apple Music exclusive" and they agree, then strictly speaking he hasn't paid them.
  20. It's a reworking of a 1987 album track, because he was unhappy (at least in retrospect) with the production on the original album so they've redone the whole thing for the next box set: G4uw7RrzwYY o2VuEr8vnYg
  21. I assumed that was what everyone did for these records? I suppose it suggests they used the real recording footage instead of faking it for the video though.

  23. Or ever for the members of Nine Below Zero (although Mark Feltham does a lot of session work so he must have played harmonica on quite a few hits).
