I thought Vampire was just ok at first but the more you hear it it actually is a great song.

Why didn't drop they drop the pre-ordered physical singles last week when sales were lower and Doja Cat was not as much competition?
  3. But Last Night isn't really proper country. It's more commercial sounding. If it was released by a non-country artist I think it would have been a much bigger hit in the UK.
  4. Crazy how Last Night has been such a massive hit in the US with 16 weeks at number 1 and it only peaked at 28 in the UK. It also got to number 1 in Australia and Canada, number 2 in New Zealand and number 7 in Ireland. What other songs have been big hits in the US (and other countries) but not in the UK? I presume there will be nothing as big as a contrast as this
  5. How did John Aldean sell so many 228,000 digital copies? Was there some kind of campaign or something?
  6. Surprised Jonas Brothers aren't doing better? It's a catchy pop song and is number 1 on radio. Do they not have playlist support?
  7. Why has Olivia taken so long to release her 2nd album? Newer artists need to strike while the iron is hot or else they will be forgot about. Two and a half years since her debut single is way too long of a gap.
  8. How has Taylor Swift become do unstoppable at the moment? She was always massive in the US but was never really that big in the UK. Her 2 recent acoustic album were not really that big either. She seems to be on another level now? It's weird how she is in her prime in her early 30s whereas before when you got over 30 female singers would lose relevance.
  9. I don't know how you can class Ellie Goulding as relevant. Only 2 of her singles from her past 2 albums charted at all. And they were complete flops in the 80s. Being attached to a feature doesn't really count.
  10. Why wasn't Midnight Sky bigger?
  11. I wonder will there ever be Amazon/Spotify exclusive songs like Amazon do with the Christmas songs?
  12. It's mad how Dermot Kennedy is 171 on Spotify and 10 on Amazon. Is the getting no support on Spotify or why is there such a disparity?

What I don't understand about odds is surely Mariah Carey is more likely to be Christmas number 1 than Whitney Houston or Michael Bublé?
  14. Why is Celestial doing so bad?
  15. The charts seem to have got very stale since the start of this year with no real big artists releasing singles or a big worldwide hit (other than Encanto which wasn't massive worldwide). Like in Australia Heatwaves has gone back to number 1 and this was number 1 this time last year for a number of weeks. Also in Australia Stay went back to number 1 this year for a few weeks in February (it was already number 1 for 14 weeks last summer/autumn).
  16. Strange how Still Dre was not much of a hit at all when it was released. Hardly charted at all in the US (where I presumed it would have been a massive hit as the US is more rap orientiated) and wasn't that big of a hit in the UK either. I'd say if it was released today it would be a 10+ week number 1 with massive strraming.

    Why is Duffy there?
  18. I was hoping it would be a Larger Than Life/Stronger style sounding song (You'd imagine they would do this sounding song if they did collaborate). The end result is very underwhelming.

Who was pushed last year worldwide? Ellie Goulding was for the UK?

Is Amazon exclusive just a UK thing? How do Amazon choose what singer to support or are these Christmas singles made specifically for Amazon?
  21. Rockin' around the Christmas Tree seems to have gained more popularity in recent years due to being featured on US centric playlists? It was never really much of a Christmas song over here was it?
  22. Is this Billie Eilish's lead single?
  23. Why is the Scottish Singles Chart still based on actual sales? Like this week an American boy band are charting at number 4?
  24. What caused the increase for Giants this week? It has been going down on Spotify/sales over the past week?
  25. Watch BBC Radio 1 now take it off their playlist like they did with Power Over Me when it was rising on Spotify. Power Over Me was weird as it peaked on I tunes, Spotify and radio all at different times and could have been much bigger. Where is Giants on Spotify playlists?
