The mysterious "Jukebox Heaven"
Why was River released as an Amazon exclusive? So Ellie Goulding's label went to Amazon and asked for it to be an exclusive or how does it work? What's the big advantage of Amazon having this song as an exclusive? Ellie Goulding is hardly a massive star now and River is just a little cover. It's hardly Ed Sheeran's lead single now?

🎄Spotify Chart Thread [December 2019] 🎄
Why did Britney Spears never really do anything with My Only Wish This Year when it was released 19 years ago? For such a big name at that time it passed under the radar everywhere. Its a nice little jolly song

Westlife - Spectrum
I know Westlife were mainly popular in Ireland/UK but you'd think their album would chart OK or at least chart at all in some othet European countries or Australia/New Zealand? Aren't they talking about touring in these places? If they can't even get a comeback album to even chart in these countries who will go to see them on tour?

Christmas Number 1 odds
Ed Sheeran surely has something up his sleeve to ensure a Christmas number 1

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 8th November 2019
Why is it with The Script they nearly always have a moderately successful pre-album single and then all the post-album single do very little or flop badly?

Why don't singers release a big Christmas single?
That's what I mean. Underneath the Tree and One More Sleep are fairly good but others like Ariana Grande/Katy Perry could release a big proper Christmas single but release fairly dull mediocre songs that don't feel like big Christmas songs. Surely Ariana Grande/Katy Perry could release a big proper catchy Christmas song like Mariah Carey did.

Why don't singers release a big Christmas single?
Why doesn't any big artist release a big Christmas single? We have had very average mediocre releases from Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Sia, Ariana Grande in the last few years. Hardly big hit Christmas songs. It doesn't seem like they put much effort into the songs really. Surely another Christmas classic like AIWFCIY can be written. It would be a money maker each year.

Lewis Capaldi still at 7! Is that because he is on playlists that the US also use? In related news Someone You Loved has gone number 1 in the US

Think this could be a big hit in a few months time if pushed. Very Sam Smith like

🎃 Spotify Chart Thread [October 2019] 🎃
Dermot Kennedy Power over me deserved to be massive. It did absolutely nothing. Was it not pushed on Spotify at all when released? With him more established now could they try push it again?

Spotify Chart Thread [September 2019]
Why is Dermot Kennedy Outnumbered not moving much at all? It seems to be stuck in the 20s for ages? Where is it on HHUK?

I presume Ed Sheeran will climb to number one one the official chart with the release of the album

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 29th March 2019
Better Man is hardly any different music wise than Perfect by Ed Sheeran a few years ago which was huge on sales and radio? I know it's Ed Sheeran where anything he releases would be a hit but still. Is Jonathan Rossi the only promo Westlife have this week? I take it it not like before where they would be on every available promotion slot available on release week. It a pity Hello My Love missed the top 10 due to a stupid release timing as it would have been a huge achievement 20 years on for a boy band in the streaming era on to have another top 10 which they most likely now will not be able to achieve another.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 29th March 2019
Where will Westlife debut this week? Will they make top 20? Hello My Love lost a few days and debuted outside the top 10

It's a wonder this was never pushed in the UK. It would probably have been big

Why does Pink continue to have hits 20 years on while Britney has not been relevant in 10 years? Same with Rihanna having hits?
-
Spotify Chart Thread 2018 [VII - December]
I presume in 10 years time Christmas songs will still be popular. So it will still be the same old Christmas songs that we have now? At that stage AIWFCIY will be 34 years old. There are no real newer Christmas songs coming along that are really popular. You could say Santa Tell Me/One More Sleep, but the vast majority of people haven't heard of them now. And if they're not popular now I can't see them turning into big popular Christmas songs in the future?

2019 Predictions
Are we still expecting big things from Rihanna? Next year she will be 13 years since her first release. Will there not be a time soon when she becomes less relevant to the GP due to her age etc? Britney was well past it in 2012

That Ava Max song Sweet but Psycho sounds very 2009 Lady Gaga. Even the video is very Lady Gaga-ish. She also looks very like her. I wonder could she be the next big female star?

Does this not show that Little Mix will get the number 1? Little Mix are sure to only grow on i tunes/streaming with their promotion whereas Shallow will decline after the weekend?

Why is Ellie Goulding doing so bad? You'd think she'd have some sort of a fan base to get it top 10 even with sales being so low

UK Christmas Number 1, 2018
Westlife will surely aim for the Christmas number 1? If they were to release a single soon enough they'd surely go for the Christmas number 1

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th October 2018
Always Remember Us This Way is a very good song. It sounds like a big hit single Adele would release. Could do quite well if it was pushed as a single. Will they release proper singles off the soundtrack or will it just be whichever sticks?
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 28th September 2018
ASIB will hardly be a big hit movie like The Greatest Showman which draws the casual viewer? This song won't get much radio play or Spotify play as it's Lady Gaga and the song isn't exactly commercial sounding.

Could Always be a big hit for Gavin James in the coming weeks/months. Sounds like a hit but probably won't do much.
