  1. The should have probably pushed Million Reasons (The Andrelli Remix) outside US for Lady Gaga. It probably would have performed a lot better like Summertime Sadness. At least The Cure is doing a bit better
  2. Agree. The Justin Bieber parts are very catchy and commercial sounding. I thought before listening this might be one of those non-commercial urban collaborations that's gone after a week, but I can see this sticking around near the top for a while because of Bieber.
  3. Yes I think it's weird how TV promo doesn't translate into Spotify streams. Will this make TV performances on BGT/X Factor less appealing for artists in the future as they don't really help.
  4. I take it this could be the end of Zayns musical career, this massively underperformed everywhere and this is the lead single. Only the lead single on his last album was a hit, the other singles flopped. No one really seems to care about his music career anymore, there seems to be no interest.
  5. Well she wasn't really an established singer. She only had one hit really and then came back in 2011 with Titanium. No one really knew who she was beforehand.
  6. Is Scared of the Dark getting played by any radio station? Its a solid pop song that should be played on Radio 1/Capital. Its a pity radio are so against older acts (I'm not sure its really age that much because they play Sia but older acts that have been around a long time. I bet if Sia was around 20 years ago she would be not be played now Britney . If Katy Perry/Sia released Scared of the Dark it would be played loads by Radio 1/Capital and would be a huge hit. I'm not sure what it is really? Relevancy/popular to the younger demographic? How did Madonna get hits into her 40's?
  7. But radios don't really look at i-tunes anymore do they? The bad thing about discounting this early is if its only discounted for a week it will then drop off after a week.
  8. This is surely a desperate attempt to get the number 1. I bet they wouldn't have discounted if they weren't so close to number 1. The Cure has only been out 4 days, whats the idea. Would it not be better if it was discounted in a month or something like Symphony when its closer to peaking and higher on Spotify (unless this is going to be a long term situation?). I don't get what the need is already, you'd think it was falling out of the top 40 after a week or something its still number 3.
  9. Is Spotify and streaming in general really corrupt and a bit of a joke, labels paying to be on certain playlists and how high to be up and Spotify themselves deciding what songs should be on playlists. This whole streaming is a joke when you think about it. Talk about manipulation. Compared to the 'sales' era this streaming is a joke.
  10. Ya I always wondered this? Will this always be the way or is there any shift yet? Dance and Urban does a lot better than pop
  11. Why does Rihanna always do so good on Spotify (shes in the same league as Bieber/Drake) compared to other females bar Ariana Grande/Adele. Even Needed Me was a big Spotify hit but only got to 38 in the charts. She always does really well on streaming.
  12. How do people think The Cure will do in the UK? It sounds like a huge hit (the chorus is very catchy and the production is very in at the moment). It could easily be a Chainsmokers song but she hasn't been supported very much in the UK in the last few years for it to be a big hit and she doesn't do well on streaming.
  13. It shows how much the impact of i-tunes has fallen. Lady Gaga has been on top for 3 days and she wont even probably make the top 20. i know she lost 2 days but still
  14. I dont mean generic in terms of production but lyrical content like Just Dance, its very basic and simple lyric wise
  15. This is Just Dance 2.0 in terms of genericness for her standards. This will test if she has a proper pop career anymore, Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons were not very commercial and you could argue thats why they flopped. But if this flops she would seems to be over. Its a bop all the same but extremely generic. Will it be a hit?
  16. Why isn't Bruno Mars That's What I Like doing better in the UK? it's a big hit worldwide isn't it?
  17. How do you think Lady Gaga will do with Million Reasons after X Factor and being 59p? Is it getting any airplay at all?
  18. How do you think Lady Gaga will do with Million Reasons after X Factor and being 59p? Is it getting any airplay at all?
  19. I really like that new Britney song.. if only she featured Drake or someone she would be top 10. It wont do anything. It sounds like a hit but alas its Britney and shes not relevant anymore.
  20. There seems to be less interest in Olly Murs no, his singles arnt doing that great.
  21. There is no interest in Lady Gaga at all. Million Reasons is a really good. I wonder will it be the next single. There is nothing else on the album. How would MR do chart wise?
  22. She said in an interview recently that it was a joint agreement between her and her management to have PI as the lead single, what were they thinking? The lead single is meant to be the most GP friendly, accessible, commercial song on the album. This was a bad move, if this is the best they can offer. If the is the most commercial song on the album, they may scrap it. They shouldnt have released the release date so they could delay it w
  23. But the thing with Britney is she has been in the business since 1999 and hasnt been popular in the last few years which is understandable as she is not regarded in the same league as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Pink, Ariana nowadays, and she doesnt really seem to care about success anymore or care anymore. Also radio refuse to play her as they think she is past it, if she released Toxic now it would flop. And that Katy Perry song was just a promotional song for NBC Olympics in the US, nota lead single with little promotion so it didnt really matter if it did bad like Pinks song for the film. If Rise was a lead single it would be a different story.
  24. Lady Gaga is flopping absolutely everywhere (I wouldnt even call it flopping its worse) it has fell to number 132 on France I tunes. It is out of the top 40 in a lot of markets. I know its a dud lead single but I didnt expect to be this bad. Its also doing crap on Spotify everywhere. This is definately one of the worst performing lead singles by a 'major' pop singer in a long time. And the album is coming out in 5 weeks...it is a horrificaly bad start to an album campaign. There seems to be 0 interst at all. She was even doing fairly average when Applause was released but this is tanking. I expected a huge comeback al a Justin Bieber, she used to be massive
  25. Why have the the last few singles from Ariana Grande under performed so much? I thought after Problem she would be one of the next big female singers. Focus and Dangerous woman didnt do very much and Dangerous Woman is the lead single and that didnt even go top 10. Into You sounds like a smash but its only creeping up the chart and probably wont do much either. There seems to be little buzz about her now, compared to when Problem was out, did the donut incident ruin her? Also Break Free, Love Me Harder and One Last Time are very good songs on her last album but they didnt do great either. If someone like Rihanna released these or Into You they would be huge
