August being the new December :cheeseblock: Impressed how well the risk paid off; I really don't think 'We Belong Together' would've done as well. (congrats Jay on both your artists winning also) I'm really glad to see 'Heart To Break' managed to make the top half among all these big songs! ^_^ That's an impressive amount of Röyksopp votes too. I'm not really surprised at '2 On' so low because as much as I do like it, it feels more like a nice on-trend hit than a classic (granted, you could say the same for Pixie or Hailee - both of whom I voted - but that probably applies to all their singles). Of course it's logical as the final choice by being her biggest (non-Snakehips) hit though. Honestly think you'd have been better off sacrificing Greyson in the final, since he probably wasn't going to get more than 3 votes anyway, and picking 'Dancing Next To Me' in an earlier, more viable round!

Are you excluding 'Mi Gente' based on it having a few words in French and English? It was #1 on worldwide Spotify for a month. Anuel AA's 'China' also only has a few words in English I believe and reached #2. (The original 'Despacito' also reached #3 as well.) (Had no idea what made this song quickly explode though so thanks!)

My final table: Indeed, Röyksopp fall at the last hurdle, but I'm amazed how long they lasted, especially for an artist I was only familiar with about... 5 songs from prior, and considering that I didn't have a 100% voting rate for anyone in the previous 2 AF Idols (except for Ariana when she only lasted 3 rounds before 'the light is coming' worked its magic). Röyksopp's top ranking was sealed even if they sent the worst song of all time, but Janet manages a huge 10/12 in 2nd place too, and this round pulls Gorillaz just ahead of Tinashe for 3rd. If I'd tried to predict my voting rates in advance I'd have expected Kim Petras to be right at the top, but a long series of entries far from my own preferences made that difficult. Even then, she never ranked lower than #11 for me (everyone else but Röyksopp got lower at some point) and gradually improved, and I'm glad she got to send 2 big favourites of mine including the opus 'Heart To Break' (even if that's only 2 out of my top, like... 12 of hers). Kelly Clarkson shows how much a low start can be overcome by going from the bottom of my table after 3 rounds, to getting 9 votes in a row. Amazingly The Weeknd managed to pull it off the entire way: 6 top 5 ranks, 6 bottom 2 ranks, and nothing ever in between :lol: Lucky for Hailee and Pixie to get votes in the last round considering how many 'just outside' ranks they got. S Club 7 deserve an asterisk because by averages, Rachel Stevens' 4 entries would place her... #3 (!) (wow) while S Club 7 alone would be at the bottom. Despite only getting 1 vote, Greyson never got a #16 from me either. And thanks to the Zedd/Grey round, Maren got lifted up so that every artist but Greyson got at least 3 votes in total, not bad going.
